  1. My apoloiges, you are correct - Severity does determine the suspension issue. I was thinking along the lines of gross misconduct when writing that rather than all discipline matters.
  2. Sky sports article Interesting that this article uses the identical wording found in his blog yet this article credits the source as the Hull Daily mail... So is Windass Blog just a collaboration of all his quotes during the week...
  3. It is standard practice certainly in terms of discipline procedure for companies, organisations agencies to suspend an employee while an investigation is taking place; however as you say this procedure makes sense for those who have positions of responsibility, ensuring that their is no further disrepute - what would you be suspending football players from if the investigation is to be resolved before the next match...? Having said that though, have any of them been involved in the media since? The Hughes partnership thread has an article which quotes Hughes, was this before or after the incident? I would expect the club to tell those involved to lay low at the least.
  4. Damn right about the health warning! Now cigarette packets have pictures on them, what pictures would we have as a warning...?
  5. That one rolls of the tongue the best methinks...
  6. I don't know whether it's the wine I'm drinking or that actually garcon this is really funny - but anyway it just made me laugh out loud! I'll read it again in the morning and let you know whether the wine was a strong factor...! p.s. I do prefer doggygate too.
  7. Ok this will now out me as a Setanta subscriber - but did anyone see the Everton - Middlesborough match yesterday? It was shocking, loose passes, poor decisions - a real scrappy game; not too dissimilar in quality to our match with Leeds last week. The Consistency/Inconsistency issue is what I think winds fans up the most - it certainly infuriates the hell out of me. You see us playing well against the top teams and struggling against the lower and we wonder why. However maybe we need to remember that league one football teams are inconsistent the majority of the time; that is why they are in league one! The only real consistent team in this league is Leicester and look at how they are running away with it. I'm a Shez in because if you read most of the stuff written by the out brigade then you would think that the club was heading for relegation - well we're not, we're heading for promotion (again) and if we can put in the graft then I honestly believe we can do it this season. And all this with one of the smallest budgets in the league apparantely... Come on you 'tics!
  8. Every time I read Greyhound gate - my brain kept interpreting it as Ground Hog Day... Hmmmm, read in to that what you will.
  9. Been getting tracks from the FoF forum for the last couple of hours and just had a go. It's really good - takes a bit of time to get the tracks as you need to trawl through their database, read reviews of whether the version of the track you're about to download is a good sync to the music track. Only played it using my keyboard so far which limits the difficulty level as it's hard to slide your fingers around the keys (although with practice I suppose it's possible), but you can hook up the actual GH and RB guitars. As you say Rummy there are thousands of tracks to choose from - and a huge diversity of music. If you are going to have a go with this I would seriously recommend checking the reviews of each track before you download and also what difficulty level it offers. If you just want to sit using your laptop like me then anything above medium and you'll be failing songs left right and centre. If you have a plug in keyboard however it is possible to use it as wired guitar! One problem I encountered being a Mac user is that the controls didn't work as they are defaulted to use the function keys, however on a mac to use F1, F2 etc you need to hold down the function button, otherwise you just end up changing the brightness of your screen!! Took a few minutes to change the controls and you'll need to avoid all conflicts with the other assigned controls for player 2, drums etc. Anyway, that was meant to be a short post to recommend giving it a go and thanks Rummy for the link - apologies for the reviewing nature it took!!
  10. Thanks I'll get on it - probably could have read that on the download site, but didn't in my haste to be a rock god!
  11. Hi Rummy - I've dowloaded FoFix and it starts and have no problem interacting with it - however when I go to either Solo or quickplay it asks me to 'choose a new songs directory' and then I'm able to browse the folders on my computer (using Mac). Not sure what it wants me to do! Any advice?
  12. A cunning plan to see how many people visit your profile per chance? I'm not falling for it!!!
  13. Haha - yeah got a bit overexcited there! Had been off my mind for a while, because couldn't get access. As soon as I posted I checked out the website and realised you didn't need an invite anymore! Oh well, thanks at least for reminding me about it!
  14. You Beauty! Cheers! I've been after an invite to Spotify for ages!
  15. Was looking for radio coverage of tonight (not a LW member, and am aware there is a free 30 day trial, so will be doing that...) and came across this, not sure I fancy our chances anymore... Linky
  16. Have the album but have heard Sellotape and others as some friends have these tracks. I was surprised to not see Sellotape on the album, also Albie isn't on it either. Need to go and get a series and dig out a few of the other tracks if possible. I imagine they'll release another album soon, dya think?
  17. Flight of the conchords are great - like others though I haven't seen much of the TV show, however have listened to much of their music and it's genius and so funny! Fave tracks include Hiphopopotomous Vs Rhymenocerous, Albie the racist Dragon, Think about it, Ladies of the world and The most beautiful girl (in the room).
  18. Certainly not, advocating such behavior would be disrespectful. I will therefore not leave a comment. p.s. why are there two different headlines with the same story?
  19. It can be a problem with loans - more short term to be renewed types, where the player is expected to settle in to the team straight away. Settling into a team takes at least two things on the pitch - the loanee understanding how the players around him play and are most likely to feed the ball to him and vice versa, where it is his strengths lie and how the players around him anticipating his movement etc. To me it sounds like (and I can't judge first hand (exile)) on his performances he should stay, even if he hasn't banged in the goals because these will come when there is a better understanding between the players.
  20. '92 or '93 we lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal. It was my first ever Oldham match, and also first ever football match (being from the Isle of Man, didn't get over much!) so quite an occasion. Anyway it wasn't me, but my dad. I sent him for a pie at half time and Arsenal scored before he got back - only goal of the game!
  21. Well I suppose there is Clyde FC, oh and the mighty Queens Park...but aside from those four, none come to mind...
