  1. Saw Richard Jobson in Housing Units the other week and for someone approaching 50 he looks as fit as a fiddle.....I think he's working for the PFA.
  2. Pity he didn't go get you a pie 'n a coke as well!
  3. Which makes it all the more galling for us as you may recall I attempted to buy 8 x £25 tickets for behind goal ish (blocks 125 or 126) at lunchtime on the second day of sale to season ticket holders only, and was sold the first of the £23's ( I was told all the £25's had gone!?!) for block 122 where we were in the corner, level with the dugouts with 7 plebs two rows in front who just wouldn't sit down. I still can't get my 'ed around how we ended up there......
  4. So plenty of comments from a range of supporters covering the length and breadth of the Anfield Rd Lower criticising the behaviour of the those who cannot sit still for more than 30 seconds or so..... I invite the boys from block 122 row 19 seats 17 - 24 to provide an eloquent balanced argument in justifying their behaviour on Friday night. Please?
  5. Spot on mate. I can relate to all you say .Close friends apart I just wish me and my 5 year old had sat close to you and had the same experience. Sadly we were subject to immature juvenile insults and persistent ignorance throughout the game. Cannot see any posts from them justifying their behaviour just yet......
  6. I am the father of the 5 year old mentioned in this post. He went to most home games last season and he is now like his dad of 35 years a season ticket holder. I don’t drag him along. He goes by choice and is always asking me “when are were going to Latics again?” He recognises all the first team players and knows the majority of their squad numbers. His first away trip was the friendly at Fleetwood where he sat immediately behind the ‘bench’ and chatted with some of the players. His second away trip and first night match was Liverpool. Due to the ignorance and selfishness of the morons who stood up for the majority of the game two rows in front of us I was constantly lifting my boy from his seat in order to give him a chance of at least seeing some of the match. I was also aware of the elderly lady behind me who's view was constantly being blocked. Midway through the second half he said “Dad, please don’t lift me up again, I feel sick. I just want to go back to the coach.” So, what was supposed to be a great night to remember for us, our friends and the latics supporters in our vicinity was totally spoilt by these abusive self-centred miscreants whos lives must be so shallow its untrue.
  7. Asked for 8 together at 2pm today - they were just starting to sell the £23 tickets as all the £25's had gone, got Block 22 where they house the away support for league games.
  8. Remember his goal kick which blew back into the Chaddy for a corner? Was it in April v Millwall?
  9. Maybe if we are struggling at HT Then PD should shove a ROCKET up their A*SES? Better than our recent HT team talks ?!?!
  10. So with the Wesolowski teaser of is he fit or isn't he? and the signing of the two young Italian boys which 11 will start on Saturday - got a feeling that if PD gets this one right then we could really catch fire and see some fireworks on Saturday. Despite our injuries we've now got some strength in depth, we won't regret the non signing of Lewis Guy or our interest in Sam Parkin not being realised or the likes more recently of Neil Wood and more historically Nicky Banger who both flattered to deceive. Oh and Ryan Burns is expected to be doing the half time draw. So I will go for: Cisak Black Please Clarke Diamond Lee Taylor Fireman Adeyemi Simpson Kuqi Scapuzzi and a bench of: Gerrard M'Voto Mellor Morais Smith
  11. Diallo and Mellor in the squad, a choice of 2 or possibly all 3 of M'Voto, Diamond and Clarke and Lee who played both LB and RB at Orient. Several permutations, which one is yours? I'm going for: Diallo, M'voto, Diamond, Lee
  12. Kuqi, No arrogance, no show pony, no big 'ed, an honest pro who will be good for the team, the kids, the club and us, the supporters. Just what we needed!
  13. I thought both debutants had excellent games and with Reid looking fit hungry and mobile again dare I say it we look a real goal threat ....all the more encouraging since Taylor was way off his game. We are shaping up really promisingly now, it's a shame young Parker is out, we would have so many options if he too was currently available!
