I'd heard 250k per week but either way that amount of money is . I read recently that Kaka has a tithe linked to his salary that sees 12% go to his church charity - a cool £30k per week. So well done Mr Kaka for that at least. As for the OAFC part of the post - totally agree - if we were to go up to the Prem the plan should be to sign a few young and hungry players paying them a fair salary - go to places like the Emirates and OT etc and attack in the way that Hull City did before they lost their nerve - come back down a lot wealthier which would allow the club to subsidise season tickets for a year or two, improve facilities and build up that fan base - simple really

Agree with both your comments but Shez does remain loyal to certain players - ether way we should be good enough to claim all three points tomorrow.

So Mark will almost certainly start tomorrow - which begs the questio: 'Who will make way?' Maher and Whittaker look good together - maybe Shez will play three midfielders and it will be Smalley who loses out away from home?

So tomorrow will see Craig on the bench again - probably coming on late in the game for Hughes. If Hughes does decide to move on then Davies will start - possibly against Stockport - nice

Agree with your comparison but Pete also makes a fair point. It has been discussed on this board before as to which club coud be directly compared to Latics from a perspective of proximity to larger teams and catchment area etc. For me the nearest I can think of is Walsall - smaller club - fiercely loyal hardcore of 4000 - within a few miles of a number of bigger clubs (Villa, Birmingham, West Brom, Wolves)

Agree with that - we are in a decent position at the halfwaypoint in the season - if we have a great Jan through May then we can go close - Windass is an immense signing if last night is indicative - just hope we don't lose too many before Feb 2

Agree - there are one or two muppets but in the main the main stand is supportive of the players - mistakes and all.

You don't drop Hughsey - if he stays then he plays - he has 14 for the season - if he is still around then 20 plus is a real possibility - Davies has looked good when coming on late in the game ('Udds and Pool) - he will cause problems and who knows maybe as part of a Hughes - Windass - Davies strikeforce?

Hi Alec - it is you mate - your expectations are way too high methinks - if you sit where I do in the main stand then you would have heard a far more balanced view of the game I'm sure - great first half but lost something second half (surprisingly once we went 2 up) - the OG changed our mental state and we were nervous towards the end yet still managed to create decent chances. Sixteen shots - eight on target - hit woodwork three times - scored twice does not equate to a poor match. Lucky to be third - not really - deserved too. I wonder what your view of the match would have been at 65 minutes?? Cheer up mate - we are going to be up there

Sky has just shown highlights of the game so far - Windass free kick hits the bar - Hughes typical finish from six yards - Smalley screamer from outside the area MK Dons down to 10 men but Wilbraham has just equalised.
