  1. I think we should overthrow the government and hit the reset button. If we can get all fans from the other 72 football league clubs to sign up to this I think we've got enough to pull it off. Then we can finally take back what's ours and the only thing that matters in the world, football. We can still let everything else go to :censored: though.
  2. The game's become a bit of a joke on that front.
  3. "Being a footballer is really hard work but being a manager is another level entirely bla bla bla hurr de derr" Who buys these things?
  4. I would hate that really. For me it's at the point where the football league should break away and become a competition in it;'s own right with the championship as the top division. What's the point in this top division that is effectively a closed shop that nobody can seriously ever make any impact in without a bottomless pit of cash. It isn't sport anymore, it;s just a competition of who has the most money and is willing to take the biggest risk. People complain about this 'awful division' but League One is more exciting than the prem, who would have expected us, Dale and Chesterfield to be challenging for the top 6? The relative financial parity between the 24 clubs in the division means that given the right set of circumstances anybody can find themselves pushing for promotion or conversely fighting relegation. That's what sport should be. The Prem is the hello magazine of sport. Hello magazine is gaudy :censored:.
  5. I guess the 125 pages here and media outrage across the web, TV and newspapers is pretty clear evidence for the shrieking over reaction to what in the grand scheme of things although unpalatable is hardly going to change the world as we know it. I dunno, maybe in your life you'll view things in context of "before Ched Evans" and "after Ched Evans". I don't remember there being such a :censored:storm about the Libor scandal (probably the biggest financial fraud in history) and the obvious knock on effects it will have had. The media certainly didn't create such a circus when Israel were committing genocide last year either and there were far fewer people being accused of being 'pro genocide' for not condemning them (something none of our politicians did with any fervour either).
  6. The saddest thing about all this is how angry people will get about football yet be so apathetic about all the far more tragic and important issues happening in the UK and around the world. This is hardly a proud moment for OAFC but in context I'm not really gonna lose any sleep. I guess that means I think rape is ok or something.
  7. :censored: your perspective, LJ is taking us down and it's all Neal Eardley's fault!!
  8. Yes this is definitely the only thing he said to any of his players and they didn't even bother training this week.
  9. Is this one of those woosh moments I've heard so much about?
  10. It definitely finished 3-0 mate, just checked on bbc.
  11. To be fair I have heard that he's lost the dressing room. I asked a guy at work: "Do you think Lee Johnson has lost the dressing room?" and he said: "Who's Lee Johnson?" I think the writing's on the wall.
