  1. What the hell does his wife know?! Show her Diego's quotes...
  2. Some delicate petals on here. Whether he was having a dig at the fans or not there are plenty of know nothing moaning :censored: at BP, deal with it.
  3. Hardly any of the benefits listed seem to be grounded in reality. 'Summer meeting in Portugal', what a stupid :censored:ing sport this has become.
  4. I won't watch this nonsense competition on principle but that's the real problem. People complain about the money in football and skewed power balance whilst shoveling more money to the top clubs.
  5. Burgess, Croft, MacKay, Banks, Dunne? Erwin will certainly come back in, he's been superb.
  6. Laughable stuff for the penalty, like a parody of football. Game for fairies. Fane touches the ball away from him and then the guy goes into a 180 spin with his arms in the air as he collapses to the ground. What an embarrassment.
  7. That's the crux of it. He has the ability to be a very good player for us, but you see more application in Sunday league than Carl shows.
  8. I think last night says it all. He's had a lot of chances. Cassidy is in a very difficult situation. Looked good initially at the very start of last season but had a bad injury that effectively torpedoed the whole campaign for him. This time round you would hope he can get himself fit and in contention to play the target man role when required. I thought he looked OK in the first half albeit with very little service or support except for Erwin who was good yet again. Second half looked absolutely shattered after 10 mins and should have come off. I feel it's a bit unfair to judge and condemn him in a match against championship opposition with no real support coming from the midfield until he was already spent. The big problem for me is the fitness and he needs to sort that out. Footballer's are paid a lot of money even at or level for a pretty easy life, being unfit is unforgivable. I'd send him out on loan to league two if possible, get him match fit and have him back in Jan.
  9. But they've got relay running and running where you jump over things and running different distances and running where you pretend you're a horse...
  10. Christ, people manage to use public transport every day to get to and from work. I'm sure our delicate little petals can handle it.
  11. This is a common misconception. Germany are in real trouble. DeutscheBank is insolvent. The enforced refinancing of Greece's debts and the desperation to add more 'debt partners' to the union is a function of their precarious position in the house of cards. Their share price has gone down 60% in a year ffs!
  12. Alladyce takes poor/average teams and makes them overachieve. England are at best an average national team, Alladyce is a good appointment.
  13. Not even vaguely surprised, won some good money on a double for Italy and Iceland so fairly pleased with the nights work also. The English game is rotten. Rooney is an exceptionally unintelligent footballer. Despite the media cooing about how well he adapted to the midfield role against Russia and Wales, he's been poor throughout. A few nice passes (notably one to Alli against Russia?) don't mask the number of times he wastes possession. I would go as far as saying he wastes the ball as much as 9/10 times he gets it, not good enough for a professional footballer, especially one at the top level. Tactically it was suicide having him in the midfield, a player that simultaneously disrupts our midfield structure by often standing between the two center backs to receive the ball (leaving two opposition midfielders able to crowd out Alli and the striker(s)) and ruins our tempo and flow by needlessly giving the ball away over and over again has hurt us. The media continue to lap it up however. Sterling reselected after being comfortably the worst player in the squad through the group and warm up games not to mention having a terrible season. Vardy dropped back to the bench despite scoring in the group and being a general pain in the arse for the opposition, Drinkwater not even making the squad despite captaining the league champions. Wilshire comes to the tournament having played one league game this season, Henderson having played a handful. It seriously makes me wonder if the money men and big sponsors are having a say in how the team is picked. Should have brought Gerrard and Lampard in for the midfield, they just need more time to gel...
  14. Im behind this. Would be a big statement and middle finger to the authorities! Even if its the club happy to stump up the 5k. Be nice to take a principled stand on something that would damn near have full backing of our fans and other clubs fans. The reality is we wouldn't need to raise that much, imagine the appearance fees we will be saving on also. You can probably knock at least £1k off that in total for appearance fees so the target is £4k max.
  15. And so we should. There are very fine lines between those on the fringes of the play offs and those in the bottom half.
