how many signing at this level are exciting tho? u either end up with veterans who are past it, or journey men who have never been or ultra raw young lads akin to porter who may or may not come good. Hopefully he comes in and does well

Happens all the time it just wasnt our day. HE actually did quiet well with eveything else when he came on and i wouldnt have minded seeing him on the pitch at the end of the 1st half for whittaker just to try and shake things up - to be honest taylor and liddell are usually a bit naff from corners so u cant single maher out

Agree totally. From set pieces we are near 0 threat when do we ever score from them 1 or 2 a season??? We probably get 5 (minimum) a game yet rarely do they amount to anything. The players dont seem to have any game plan - no one goes from front post to back ala tony adams or run from deep like the scunthorpe defenders did. We havent been a threat from corners for ages but they can win games if used well - its so damm annoying its like they dont practice or do any kind of training on them. We just f about with short corners which usually are crap and dont get me started on that free kick in the 1st half

They were far from terrible. They were a little too nice, didnt have enuff physical players and the defence couldnt handle movement.... But they had 3 good efforts, 2 that on another day would have gone in and worked the ball well in the 2nd stage of 1st half they probably had more of the ball than we did. Crossley also made a great save early on and they had a couple of freekicks in dangerous places. If hereford had some kind of defence they wouldnt be where they are because in terms of getting the ball down and player they aint to bad.

Bryne shouldnt keep Gregan out he did OK today but against FRyatt etc we need more strength and experience. Lomax was excellent dont remember him putting a foot wrong and Earldy was poor at Stockport ID leave Kelvin at RB for next week

I think hes done OK for us but he doesnt seem to be getting any chances on goal really think he had 1 vs stockport. I think in the long run he will do OK but already I think the boo boys are out to get him (when they cant get eardly) dont think he will score masses for us but could be useful as a squad player

out of interest where do u sit? It was pen no doubts about it really it came up of his knee and his hands went down on to it - i dont think it was deliberate but it was a pen and after the intial moan he really should have shut up he was going on for ages. The biggest problem i had was the lino - (who was dire) not flagging for it. Had they only been told to flagg for offside? Still as soon as they started arguing over who was taking the pen i said they would miss it and we got lucky

Composure is the one thing he lacks in. He could have done anything with the chance that Gurret saved but it will get better in time. Hes only young and we cant judge him to harshley untill hes got a full season under his belt. Gurret is a decent keeper untill you give him time to think then he goes a bit mental. I thought Lewis faded abit after an hour so i would have liked to have seen O Grady come on then but he was up against two massive defenders and did well for a good portion of the game early on he was making clowns out of them

Good finisher that was never in doubt but he was always a bit lightweight and lacked pace. He was a decent player at this level tho so we will have to watch him. But i always think Gregan will a physical battle and as scott probably wont get away from him with pace we might be able to stop him playing his normal game

the thing is u can still have banter with the away fans it just means ull be a little further away. I really dont get what the issue is do u really need to sit next to the away fans to sing and chant and have banter?

personally i had taylor at fault for the 1st goal. Came all the way into midfield for no reason Kelvin went with the other guy. When the ball came back for the cross there was no one there but if taylor had kept his shape he could have put a challenge in. Actually thought taylor had one of his best games on the left saturday but that was one mistake but he made up for it with the goal and 3 decent crosses into the box that someone should have been on the end off

i thought Davies was woeful, had 1 decent moment all game and couldnt do the simple things well. BUT he will play better than that. O Grady worked hard but didnt really have any quality ball to deal with. Maher was decent but unspectacular didnt really hurt millwall to much Whittaker did well when he came on At least the subs showed we have some strength in dep

first 2 i can cope with but if i was going id change my mind if liddell was playing - well past it now

The style of the shirt isnt too bad tho the collar looks like it was added on at the last second and im not sure about the design of the shorts. Its a love it or loathe it kit to be honest. We have had worse kits the green ones from the early 90s spring to mind but its for me the worst we have had in recent times
