  1. Stunned that Ollie Banks and Paul Green have retained their spots. They were both missing for the full 90 minutes. Fair enough Winchester made a bad pass that they scored from but for him to be dropped from the squad completely and those two to retain starting spots is unbelievable. Green didn't pass to a team mate all night and was actually laughing about it on the pitch and Ollie Banks, did he even touch the ball in open play on Monday night?
  2. If he quite liked the club he wouldn't continually shaft it in my opinion. He might quite like the fact that he can use the club as a tool to put cash in Brassbanks pocket.
  3. This is exactly my view point as well. If somebody comes in with the cash the offer should be accepted if Corney wants out as he keeps saying he does. What gives a bloke who makes an absolute balls up of nearly every decision he makes and has slowly crippled the club and basically put us in a position where a potential buyer actually has nothing left to buy the right to say if a potential new owner is the right person to buy the club.
  4. Our chairman has no cash and that is fair enough. He doesn't come accross like he has much ambition either though to be fair.
  5. I agree, they also have a chairman with ambition who isn't afraid to back his team in the pursuit of sucess.
  6. He is almost as tall as Rhead BP, but has eaten quite a few less pies. I'm pretty sure you know who i'm talking about though.
  7. I know, Ladappo and Erwin(who in my opinion was actually worse than Freddie) Would have only stayed on just for the fact we can only change 3 players and apart from the one on one they had very little service as usual. Dummigan is another who was just slightly less rubbish than Reckord, Banks or Winchester. I actually forgot about Green aswel, he was also shockingly bad.
  8. Not on that occasion we couldn't. The lad i'm talking about is Oldham born and bred aswel and was at our club at youth level. He travels from Oldham to Barrow and back 5 times a week for training and matches. He also says hardly anybody wants to play for Oldham as we are looked upon as a bit of a joke by many within the game.
  9. It's quite simple really. Corney tries every season to do everything as cheap as possible and only actually puts his hand in his pocket if and when it looks like we are definately going to get relegated without him doing so. Dunne would have stayed regardless of the football, tactics, skill level or know how if he had managed to keep us around 18th position but with no threat of going down. I have been told this by a player Dunne tried to sign before he got the boot who plays for Barrow. That said player was not willing to take a 40% pay cut from what he is paid at Barrow to come and play for us.
  10. Banks was absolutely appauling. I think the only time he was ever involved in anything at all was when he took a set piece. 4/10 is being generous. I would have taken him, reckord and winchester off after 20 minutes and told them to walk home.
  11. To be fair Clarke :censored: out and didn't even challenge him for the flicked on header that lead to one of their goals. He didn't nullify him the odd occasion he was marking him.
  12. Maybe yes. I didn't really think that whatever was said can come close to actually assaulting somebody with an elbow while the recipiant wasn't looking to be honest. I also didn't relaise it was for two consecutive reds for the same thing. 6 games for two red cards actually seems about right.
  13. No, just going off what i'm reading on here. All i have managed to grasp is that Edmundson gave the ref verbals twice. I don't know what was said.
  14. Ubelievable that the lad gets 6 games for mouthing off at a ref really when you only get 3 more for an assault to the face with your elbow nowhere near the ball.
  15. I've said i have a season ticket and won't be going until these boring tactics and formations change and i won't. I bought my ticket while Sheridan was still in charge and when i expected us to try to retain one or two of our better players and add some quality to the squad during the close season. What i didn't expect was for it to take 3 months to employ a manager when Sheridan left and for the new inexperienced manager to have to put a squad of left overs and rejects together in 3 weeks. I would have probably still bought a season ticket after all this happened as i have for the last 30 years. I don't and didn't expect miricles but what i do expect is to have a few shots on goal and score a few goals every now and then or if they can't muster that then some good solid tackles going in, players running thier hearts out for the team, players and a manager that actually look bothered when they are 2-0 down at home and haven't had a shot on goal. It really effects my whole weekend after i've been to Boundary park on my only day off all week to watch a load of can't be bothered mard arses not give a :censored:e about what happens on the pitch. I know a pub where the beer tastes like vinegar, the food is :censored:e, you stick to the carpets as you walk in and the toilets are always blocked with a massive turd. They are however really struggling and need as many customers as they can get. Are you going to go down every week and spend your hard earned and tell them how great the place is? No thought not.
  16. If i'm honest i am now going to the match as i feel i have to. Not because i want to, not because there is any hope of us scoring a goal never mind winning a game. I am at the point where Saturdays supporting Latics is actually ruining my weekends. I've paid for my season ticket but my son has now started to ask to come to the football with me. There is no way i am taking him to our place for his first experience of football as i feel it will put him off the game for life. My Saturdays will now be spent with my boy away from Oldham Athletic. After 30 odd years i finally give in. Things might change if Corney either finds some investment and a competant board of directors or even better sells the club for a reasonable price. I don't think he will sell the club however unless forced to by administration. Why would he? He can make money out of all his little football club side busineseses while he screws the actual football side of things so far into the ground it is actually unsaleable.
  17. The most worrying thing for me is we are actually looking worse and worse as the weeks go by. The more time the players and manager spend together the worse they look.
  18. Im thought you wanted to stop putting square pegs in round holes though?
  19. That would be 5-3-2 then as Dummigan and Rekord certainly arn't midfielders.
  20. That coude well be the problem then, playing 5 in midfield and not expecting any of them to give you any width or do anything down the flanks. Surely the one on the left and the one on the right of the five must be wingers/wide players of some description or even if one or two are holding the players on the left and right should be considered as wide players or wingers. I'm not looking for an argument by the way i just find in baffling that 5 narrow midfielders can ever work. What also confuses me is that if we are set up to play 3 at the back why we only play 2 centre halves with a right back at one side of them and a left back at the other. Surely it would be 3 centre halves.
  21. What is mcglauglan then however you spell it. Law was also a winger who scored a few aswel at Motherwell and was dropped back to fullback half way through last season due to injuries.
  22. We have Mcgloghlan, Croft, Law played as a winger before turning up here, Flyn has also been quoted as saying he prefers to play wide.
