  1. Lead to believe might be Robbo's way of saying Corney often tells him and us things that are in fact utter bull.
  2. I am honestly starting to wonder if you are 1) Simon Corney 2) Simon Corney's fluffer 3) On the board of puppets(directors) 4) Deluded 5) A fan of another club who likes a wind up I don't understand how you can still fight the corner of the owners of this club. The club is a joke and been slowly ripped to pieces by the 3 dildos. They have destroyed us, ripped the soul out of the club, sold anything of any value, shafted supporters season after season, Bought the land back off Oldham Council at a price that was only available to the football club and swiftly teansferred it into another company which makes a massive return on said land. I could go on and on. Give me just 3 things in the last 5 years that Corney and Co have done to benefit the actual football club.
  3. If Corney wants to start looking at people who are poor at their job and axing them(which is fair enough). The guy needs to look in the mirror as he is as a poor a chairman as you would ever expect to see.
  4. It is if players we are after sign for other clubs before the 12th of Jan. We will be back to where we were at the start of the season picking up the dregs that others don't want. I would say it is a massive issue.
  5. We can't sign loan replacements. We can't make any signings while under embargo. It doesn't matter if they are loans or permanent.
  6. Nothing from the club as usual but it's still frosty. Any other team in England and i would say the game will be on but we are Oldham. I know that doesn't really help. I'd say it's simular conditions to when the Peterborough game was called off but we were the only game in the whole of the football league to be called off that day.
  7. Nope, not heard anything from the club since about 1937 apart from the usual "we need your support" come and give us some more of your hard earned we do nothing to deserve drivel. What have you heard? ??
  8. Half of this years problem is Sheridan did do the retained list about a week or so before he left. Released players that would have done a job, then took Forte with him.
  9. I got blasted for saying this on here about this time last year when Dunn was in charge. I wouldn't be surprised to see Corney walk away once he has bled everything he possibly can out of the club, which cant be far away. Leaving us with no football club at all. He cares about getting as much cash back for him and his cronies and not a jot about our once beloved club. That's the only reason he is still here. Once there's nothing left to take he will be off.
  10. Does anybody else think that Robbo is just avoiding questions around transfers as he knows the embargo won't be lifted. He seems in quite good spirits otherwise under the circumstances. He cracked a joke about us scoring a goal at Fleetwood and even seemed like the death threat from the crank was water off a ducks back.
  11. I run The Dog & Partridge up in Springhead. You can happily hold it there if you like.
  12. I'm off to watch apathy if they win. Where do they play?
  13. You are right. Yes we do. It costs a fortune with buying kits and everything else that goes with it, paying refs, subs to the league and so on and so forth. Better value than a £200 season ticket at B.P though. At least you get some enjoyment out of it.
  14. To be fair it was probably a shot at goal that just happened to coincide with their man being down.???
  15. Its changed a hell of a lot in the top divisions. When i first started as a 17 year old we didn't bother training at all. Just turned up and picked a team. If you did that now you would get mullered every match and thats no fun. We all play because we love football. The training isnt a hardship, we enjoy it and some of it is in the gym. Not everybody does that part to be fair.
  16. I think Robinsons interview on GMR yesterday may give an indication as to why they can't play 3 games in a week. They train for 16 hours a week and are supposed to be full time professionals. We train for 8 hours a week for our Sunday league side aswel as holding down full time jobs.
  17. We had about 7500 fans attending home games when Corney and Co came in. Corney and Co have watched that fan base dwindle and decrease year on year on the back of the lack of investment in the actual product they are trying to sell and terrible decision after terrible decision at board level. They let these fans walk away. They continue to make these terrible decisions. They continue to spout rubbish at every oppurtunity to try and get as much cash as they can in from the dwindling fan base. They continue to screw their existing customers over whenever thet feel like it. They continue to make the club unsaleable by stripping every available asset and putting them into another company. Keep :censored:ting on your customers and they will and do have every right to stop buying the product. Would you keep giving money to a restaurant that once was your favourite but over the years has gone that far downhill it is now unrecogniseable as the restaurant you once loved or would you just go and eat somewhere else?
  18. Just didn't hear ot from where i sit. In fact the silence was deafening.
  19. Really, i didn't hear much if any and sit in the Main Stand(North stand). I get the feeeling most of us that turn up just turn up because something inside us makes us. Not many actually have any real passion left for Oldham Athletic i would suggest. It seems like the majority of our fans are past caring now, and who can blame them.
  20. There was a bloke sat behind us today who supports another team but comes to the odd game of ours with his mate who is a season ticket holder. His words after about 65 minutes were "I feel sorry for you lot having to watch this every other week. It's worse than when you had that other bloke in charge that nobody had heard of". Its embarrasing and depressing to say the least. Im actually half hoping we go bust its the only way i will be able to stop going, as long as we have a club i just cant stay away, as much as i try. I would also quite like to see Corney reap what he has sown and end up with a ground he can only use for football with no football team to play in it. I really really can not stand that bloke. He reminds me of a glow worm.?
  21. I really find it difficult to let go of the club i love. It's a sad situation when i keep telling myself i really don't care anymore only for my heart and emotions to pipe up and say i still do. The club doesn't deserve the support they get from us and probably deserve to go bump under the current regime. There i said it.
  22. All this negativity stems from a negative manager i'm afraid. Negative tactics, Negative attitude, Negative performances, Negative goal difference, Negative team selection. Even his bleeding training ground banner is negative. How does the manager expect the rest of us to be positive when he is the most negative bloke at the whole club.
  23. Not pick him for a start. He plays centre mid and touches the ball about 6 times a game, doesn't tackle, doesn't go up for headers, every shot he hits sails 60 yards over the bar. The bloke can't even take a free kick. He is not a footballer.
