  1. Are they available through the post - for people who don't live in Oldham?
  2. The online version will still be free, won't it? http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/ Just turn a page from a similar-sized newspaper as you click on the links...
  3. At least LW had to stop playing that "More, more, more. How do you like it, how do you like it?" song... Actually, apologies to Neil Moore - I meant Neil Firm. Although only briefly on loan and not even mentioned in Wiki's list. Think he came from Leeds in 1982. Anyone remember him? Think he was described as a "stopper".
  4. Keeley was good when he was put up front though, yeah? Neil Moore (as mentioned previously) How about David Currie?
  5. Just saw this and as you say they don't even have the best bit in! I live abroad but I won't be paying for it - I"ll stick to the online version. At 50 sheets a year it makes Latics World a snip at 35 quid now!! Bye bye Digital Edition Chron...
  6. A point gained for me. If we can win at home and draw away we'll be on the road to success... It's just that frustrating home form tho'. Maybe Shez should get all the players on the team coach and take 'em for a drive before the match. Didn't Dave Bassett do this at Sheff Utd one season when they were having similar problems? That's prob one good reason for not trying it then!
  7. Missed a couple of seasons when I had a Saturday job '82-84 but never missed home (or many away) from when I was a stuuuudent (in the days of the full grant!) in autumn 1984 to Xmas 1996 when I left the UK for work reasons. Get to see some matches when I come back for Xmas or family events but have been an armchair/internet fan now for over 10 years... - that's scary.
  8. Everton Away in the Cup had to leave UK on Jan 2nd (which turned out to be the 3rd - thanks to BMI....) Apart from that a lot of the games between 1997 and now (even though I've seen some of the good ones when I've been back.) And I missed that time we WON at Port Vale (1996?) cos I couldnt be arsed going. My brother went and give me loads of abuse for not going!
  9. I was on that coach that broke down coming back from Norwich - we had to stand up in the aisle of the one that stopped for us after ours broke down. But that was nothing on the return from Wembley in 1994... That can't be beaten for me - so close to our first FA Cup Final. Play-off semis will come and go but FA Cup semis are once (or twice) in a lifetime... Notable mentions: Semi replays in 1994, 1990. (Maine Road car parks full of celebrating scum...), Leeds Play-off '87, Portsmouth away (L3-0 '87 season). Wimbledon at Selhurst Park (lost 5-2?, Gerrard had a 'mare), Tottenham L5-0 (3 down after how many mins?!?)
  10. In my "lifetime" it would have to be Andy Ritchie. He kick-started the glory years of the 1990s. It's a shame (due to injuries) he didn't play more games at the top level. You can include financial in that because of the money brought in from cup runs, attendances etc. - even though he left on a free!
  11. Name? Martin Smith Location? Seattle, WA, USA How Long Supporting the Tics? +30 years Best away match you've been to? Oooh tough one. Ipswich to clinch promotion to old Div One. All Time Greatest Player? Andy Ritchie Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? Leeds
