  1. This is a complete no brainer for me. Yes there will be some jiggery pokery depending on who comes into/falls out of this tier, but given the woeful state of most club's finances it beggars belief that it hasnt been done already. Just goes to show that football governing bodies are a useless, set of *****
  2. The first sentence of this post is probably the most sense i have ever read on this site. But thats probably another debate
  3. Everyone who works in these public sector "non jobs" should be put in a grinder and their remains used to grit the roads and airport runways. This would be the only service they ever actually provide to the public. Jokers!!!!!
  4. Stevie Whitehall asked me for a balloon for his kid whilst I was clearing the tables at Elk Mill McDonalds
  5. If i'm not too hungover tomorrow (not likely) i might well come round and watch, whereabouts in the borough are you playing? And what time?
  6. Good links I am certainly not trying to hide any science, i guess the point i was trying to make (and couldn't last night due to it being very late) is that there is no absolute evidence that humans are responsible for the acceleration in global warming. I concede that only a fool thinks that increased atmospheric CO2, deforrestation, and cow's farts have no effect on the earth's temp, however it is my belief that only a fool would think it is right to invest so much on the back of sketchy "evidence". I also believe that if we stopped man-made greenhouse emissions tomorrow (whether it be H20, CO2, CH4 or O3) the earth's temperature would continue to rise to catstrophic levels. Yes millions of humans will be wiped out, that is the nature of the beast (or is that the beast in nature). Admittedly this is based on gut instinct and acknowledgment that Man can only scratch the surface of our planet's heating /cooling cycles. Christ! we will be laying tracks to control Milankovitch cycles next. PS Vote no PPS as a exile living in peterborough can't wait for sat, there are 5 exiles here, and we are dragging along another 10 - should be a crap game then!
  7. sorry what exactly is being argued here? Glaciers are retreating as per usual after an ice age, i cant be a##d reading back on this thread, but if anyone is arguing that the earth isnt getting warmer then please stop. the actual issue is whether or not the increase in temperature is man-made or natural (an interesting philosophical point as man is a part of nature, so the effects of our industry are also a part of nature) oafc0000 as you obviously believe so strongly in this, give me a link to evidence that proves global warming is man-made (you won't by the way, because it doesn't exist - which is why the best scientist distance themselves as far away as possible from your sacred reports) I have a few questions for oafc0000 1) are you just playing a rather fun game of devil's advocate? 2) if not, do you accept that you a crazy fool :-) Anyway Vote NO!!
  8. science for the insane methinks yes clouds are to blame (partly)
  9. whilst this is obviously true water vapour in the atmosphere is pretty constant, whereas CO2 in increasing. Unfortunately for the tree huggers, there is no proof whatsoever that this increase is man-made. Sod it who needs proof? Let's just waste billions of pounds (globally) to stop global warming - in fact whilst we are at it, lets also build a switch that allows us to turn ice ages off and on! Sea levels are rising. Vast areas of inhabited land is going to be below sea level. My ice cream won't last as long out in the sun. But guess what? There's sod all we can do about it! Please everyone, leave your lights on when you go out, fill the kettle right to the top, and take baths instead of showers - just to p**s the eco warriors off.
  10. eeeee i have been stirred to post congratulations oafc0000 Bad for the environment? I'm guessing here that you mean global warming? Since it is still highly debatable that human activity can cause global warming, and all the real experts on the matter distance themselves as far away as possible from the scaremongering caused by tree hugging morons. (did you know that the real experts believe that increased CO2 levels is an effect and not a cause of global warming?) We can never sustain a car per person? i can forgive 1 throwaway comment that has no sound stats behind it. You enjoy reading on the way to work? i thought you were calling people selfish before, this is the most selfish comment in this thread. i have voted against the congestion charge for the simple fact that there is too much residential land-use within the limit. A previous poster has mentioned that his girlfriend lives across the limit from him. I believe the fact that the couple would have to pay to visit each other is pretty much a show stopper. Anyone who disagrees with me obviously does not believe in love :-)
  11. i dont post much on here, but sometimes i am inspired by a poster. Yes i am truly inspired by the stupidity of the last post. SEND A PM YOU GOON! (respect to all moderators who contribute towards the only site that can take me away from big BBW.com)
  12. didn't realise we got munich's coming on here! btw - the reason no one calls liverpool "hillsboroughs" is because they aren't dirty, scummy, arrogant, pieces of S**T that aren't even good enough for the bottom of my shoe unlike MUNICHS
  13. Unfortunately, this is one of the reasons that he gets so much flak, Shez made the mistake of making him captain, possibly for the three reasond mentioned above ie Good player, great prospect, fantastic attitude. Captains should be great leaders, which Eards certainly isn't (yet). This put too much pressure on the lad, and performances suffered as a result. That said he can't even pass the parcel never mind pick out a blue shirt!
  14. Whoever as written that article on the OS should be ashamed of themselves, as should any fan who complained about bad language. I can't be a***d explaining my points, as 90% of our fans know its ridiculous. Any parent who took their kids into the rocky on sat and wasn't expecting bad language is a complete moron - and if they complained i have news for them - swear words are part and parcel of society - worry about things worth worrying about! Obviously the Wheelchair section needs looking at, but if people sat in wheelchairs can't see when people stand up, alterations need making, trying to make people sit down is not a solution that will work, and is unfair to the paying customer who sits in a wheelchair. I'm really p****d off about this article, as you can probably tell.
  15. haha what the bejesus are you talking about man? 1) Anyone who uses Wikipedia to make a point, should be given short shrift. 2) When you do use it to make a point, at least make sure it actually backs you up - it clearly states that Greater Manchester is in the south of the North West. 3) This whole arguement is daft, because last time i checked weather systems had no respect for political boundaries.
  16. have to agree with slurms - whoever has asked for a refund due to the drum is definitely a cock - beggars belief.
  17. I think Taylor is a good player, and really want him to stay, but have to agree with Derek, Wellens and 200K and some of the other rubbish thats spouted on here is a bit ridiculous. Id swap Taylor for Wellens if Wellens had to play on one leg!!
  18. Yep absolutely agree - Eardley might be the answer, but huge risk to assume that a player can change into a central midfielder from full back on the back of a couple of performances. even if he is the answer, who is back up to these two? Lets not forget Muzza gives the extra option of being able to play on the right too - versatility is gold dust at our level - this really does just make good sense as far as im concerned. Yes i honestly believe that out of the 1600, when you whittle these down to creative central midfielders, then down to players that would be prepared to play in league one, then the players who live in, or want to move to, or commute to the north west, then the players with experience (which we obviously need), then the players whose wage demands we could meet, then we are left with a number of players that i could count on one hand. If he is 80% the player that he was first time round - i'd sign him tomorrow
