  1. Actually sounds like watching Oldham, '87 to '94. What a trip that was.
  2. I'd prefer a decent seat in the Main Stand, one that is comfortable for the bigger boned gentleman. I'd bring my own sticker and cushion.
  3. RB (possibly two), LW and another quality CM (alongside Lundstrum) are priorities for me. We have a very good GK, who improved considerably as the season progressed.
  4. It's a strange one. I thought he must have a club lined up. Bit of a gamble on his part. He's never put roots down. Journeyman. That said, if he does sign for them, then it's third division football as opposed to fifth.
  5. He could be a red-herring. It's all been conjecture and rumour.
  6. It's fine. Nice and clean. No stupid stars. I thank god it isn't that Barnsley abomination.
  7. Yes, I like him as well. I thought he'd be more successful, but that's a good step up.
  8. Question, when did a body warmer become a gillet? When did a good old British body warmer become a French Gillet, especially after Brexit? Disgraceful. Even worse, we still don't have any in the club shop. Why? This is a disgrace...
  9. Thought so. Very sad. Sends shivers down my spine with memories of the hell we went through.
  10. Chesterfield have had Jordan Ibe training with them. He's now left. He's still only 27. Probably just helping get his fitness levels up. Wasn't he a winger-come-RB?
  11. Are they still refusing to train because of non payment of wages?
  12. Well, there is an issue. It's tiny and a bit crap, but I've not heard about them having to move.
  13. Already feeling nostalgic for the endless lists of trialists on the team sheets, guessing who they might be, are they any good, are they trying to squeeze one more season even though they are knackered and injury prone, will they or won't they sign. The stellar signings promised by BO. Damn this new, organised structured approach, signing good players well in advance of the start of the season. Rhino has taken the fun out of pre-season. I've not felt this positive for many years.
  14. One of the best defenders of all time, and he looked like a model. Bastard...
  15. Another 23 yo. Clear pattern to most transfers this time. Reminds me a bit of Kewell's time with us. Young enough to be hungry to advance their careers, but with a sprinkling of experience.
  16. He was at Barnsley for a while. Picked him up from FC United. Came over to Manchester when he was 16.
  17. It's brilliant. Best close season since Dowie took us into the play-offs. That ended badly in every way. This is not going to be a repeat (at least off the pitch).
  18. Some people are very confident that he's signed. IF he has, then we have a very exciting attacking line-up, with options: Willoughby/Reid Ward/Tollitt Nuttall/Fondop. Dallas/Green Lundstron/Sheron Shelton/Gardner Kitching/Couto Hogan/Oil tanker Hobson/Sutton AN Other Norman/Hudson Just need a RB (or two) and a CB (with McGahey leaving at some point). This is starting to look really, really good.
