  1. And? it's a piss take, a reaction to the media coverage and a wind up. Take a chill pill., ffs.
  2. Just been watching the news and the really sad coverage of poor Rochdale. First relegation out of the FL. WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS!!!! Rochdale finished bottom of tier four on a number of occasions but were voted back in by their mates (owners of the other clubs) in their division. Yes, technically, they weren't relegated, but only because Division Four chairmen had their own branch of the masons. Last year, they took the piss out of us, big time. Well, now who's laughing? And if they think they will be a big club in this league, it matters not (and they won't be a big club until they go down to the NW Counties) because these clubs do not, as a rule, simply roll over, no matter how small they may be. Welcome to hell, our six fingered neighbours. I'm going to enjoy taking all six points against you, while listening to your banjo playing and seeing you getting wrecked on moonshine. Let's hope you follow Scunny, all the way down.
  3. That really would be a major step up for us. Matty Palmer dropped down the league and he has been superb for Notts County.
  4. Ah, the old Pontins League. I used to enjoy those reserve games, but then our second string was better than any first team we've had for 25 years. Thursday nights, if I remember. Free entry for Seasons ticket holders.
  5. Personally, I thank God for it. Anyone who doesn't understand the value of the vaccine programme is a moron. Have you heard the nutters with their ridiculous conspiracy theories? I've met a lot of senior civil servants and politicians. They're happy to get through the day.
  6. Possibly, but, on reflection, I looked like one of those big oranges. It made me feel body shame, and for that reason I will always hate it. Daniel Craig is easily the best Bond and Skyfall the best Bond film. Roger Moore was indeed too old and a bit sleazy, although he was great as the Saint
  7. Hahahaha. This is fun. It's like having therapy. I want to add how much I detest that minority of people who criticise Joe Royle's record by citing that little cameo he did as a favour to see the season out, ignoring the most wonderfully glorious years in the club's history. I really hesitate with this one, as I'm in a very small minority, but I hate all tangerine kits. I hate tangerine. I had a retro one. I looked like a giant satsuma. I actually prefer the all blue and all red (yes, red) kits of the early 1990s. We love tangerine - not we don't, most do, but not everyone..... okay, I'll get my coat now.
  8. Confused ideas about what = a community. The club has always relied on supporters from outside the narrowly and inaccurate old town boundaries. The club is a community in itself and has never (in living memory) relied on a town that gives it minimal support at best. That we're part of Lancashire. It's nearly 50 years since much more realistic boundaries were created. Get over it. That there exists a mystical tie with Frankfurt. I can't stand German robotic football. I even supported Rangers for the first and only time when they played Frankfart. That the Main Stand is some kind of listed building when, in reality, it's a slum that should've been pulled down along with other slums in the 1960s. Great topic. Gets a lot of your chest.
  9. Strangely, I'm sure I remember him playing away at Huddersfield. Pretty sure we got beat. Apart from that, I have even more vague memories.
  10. All this stinks, like a nasty whiff of BO. Really poor from the former owners/lapdog. But, what else do we expect?
  11. I like the irony, although they are given less time.
  12. It's not so much about the direction of a pass as the ability to simply find your own team mate with a pass. I think we're entitled to criticise a formation that looks like 8-2-0, with several variations as we go through each game. Style of football - I'm not sure we have an identifiable style. Sadly, I agree.
  13. I know 1-2 have also mentioned him, but Greening has done an excellent job at Scarborough. He won promotion and had a third place finish. They're fifth in the National League North, so we'd need to get a move on, or we might be passing each other at the end of the season.
  14. Yes, but you need a lot more in terms of technique and tactical awareness, wherever you are in the top flight. Players at our level need to keep it simple. Still, they need to be organised, which we're not, motivated, which they're not, and have a work ethic, which they don't have. They're a shambles. Parkinson's Wrexham play simple football, but they do it well.
  15. He's out of his depth. They are badly organised, over cautious and lacking both drive and motivation. They are clueless. Then that have spells where they do look half decent, only for it all to flake away all too quickly. This is a league where you do the simple things, but do them well. It's Division Five and it's not rocket science. Look at Phil Parkinson. Did well at Bradford playing much the same type of football. It isn't complicated. He's get's the best out of players by being organised and motivated. He couldn't push on much further than League One because he's a lower league manager who knows what it takes at the lower league level. Yes, of course he's had some money, but he still keeps it simple. Players work hard, know what's expected and don't overcomplicate anything. Unsy is from a PL/elite culture as well as managing youth players. He hasn't a clue about how to manage at this level and he needs to leave as a matter of urgency.
  16. Is that one defeat in eight league games? Four wins three draws and one defeat. Should've been five wins, at least. Should not have been beaten by Halifax. Could easily have been five wins and three draws. And yet, it's still unconvincing and dull. However, it is a solid run. And yet it means the manager is safe. Confused!
  17. Thought he'd do well, but never really pushed on.
  18. I don't get it. His record is very ordinary, at best. Ambition - Wild. If not, then someone like Greening.
  19. Big Joe was also not stupid enough to tell his wide players to stay wide. I remember Adams getting a blocking for doing that. If you play this formation, one of you wide players has to tuck in to create a three, with the other one pushing wide (depending on how the opposition move forward). A flat 4 man midfield is really naive. It'd get slaughtered in the modern game, which is why very few teams play it. #flat442isnaivebollocks #nooneplays442forareason
  20. I don't like or agree with personal insults, but the facts speak for themselves. It's not necessary. Both he, and his team, are used to top flight football, rarified and privileged football, as players and as youth coaches. They haven't a clue about the lower leagues. It's screamingly obvious. Totally clueless. Wrexham's manager is a lower league animal. That's what we need. Not someone who has no idea about life in the rough lane. Frank - you know life is a learning curve. People who's only experiences of football is at the elite level rarely make great coaches and managers at the lower level. It's a very different beast. Come home Pete, please.
  21. Yes, he's fast, he's got real pace....he needs to be quick to catch up with the ball after his first touch.
