correct me if im wrong....but we havent got as far as planning permission for failsworth have we???? if we decided to go down this route,there is no saying we would get permission,after all its the council who grants it,and if you bit the hand that fed an all that....

no offence meant here lee,but your a young un...you search conferencing and the costs involved and you will find it will make a damn site more money than 5 a side pitches in the long run.... dont forget if you made the new stand 2 tier and incorporated office space as well,seeing as the hospital is expanding and losing office space,then staying at bp is best all round.

the backside has well and truly fallen out of the housing market,so i doubt building houses or flats to fund the project will work plus the nimbys wont want big flats everywhere,but were only complaining as they would be overlooked by 6 storey building,maybe cut it down to 3 storeys and be fine.... the failsworth project was dependant on us selling the land bp sits on plus outside investment,with what bp land is now worth i think we would struggle personally. this money from the council will help kickstart the new stand,but still needs outside investment,which again may or maynot come

stay at bp,and redevelope our spiritual home.....dont lose our identity

the original plans focused on the key worker housing and the other flats....everything else still fits,just not the housing,although some housing is currently being built on what was the old carpark....

wont happen we will redevelop boundry park,as the majority on here wanted when failsworth was announced...the failsworth site will be developed by the council as part of there regeneration projects and the rugby will end up on the charitable land part. the new north stand will incorporate conferencing and hotel facilities not to disimilar to the last idea,and we will start to make money.... the amount of people saying it should still be failsworth,when failsworth was announced they never wanted it in the first place.

hahahah,i have to laugh..the journo has really done his homework on us if they cant even get our key players right and in there respctive positions....i seriously doubt we will mount a playoff charge,but i think we will improve on last seasons leage position...and have a decent cup run...i have nothing at all to base it on...other than the players we have signed,and the hope that now funds maybe available from feeney going,we can bring in 2 poss 3 decent quality loans.....i doubt we will go down...there are at least 4 teams worse than us...

i think it is something to do with that....but i reckon we will keep on with the redevelop boundry park scheme. but maybe the lancaster club and the adjoining land that was under question can now be transfered,the council will develop the lancaster club site to provide sports facilities the borough needs,and the rugby will be building there new ground next to it...

its a shame we cant come up with something original for ourself....its great to hear when other clubs sing there songs and always get the fans behind the team...im sure there must be something out there for us to try...

the pitch was crap that season,and around christmas time was quite bad and needed constant sand being put down..most of our play revolved around hoofin it mainly....and only playing decent down the flanks... its my opinion,i dont like the rugby playing on our pitch as it rucks it up....i have no doubt others will agree,just as others will disagree....my own opinion is i wouldnt be happy.

and that my friend is where you are wrong... the fact is simple,if the rugby plays at boundry park,regular then it cuts the pitch up and come those soggy cold winter days and nights,it turns the pitch into a mudbath,which is hardly recommended for free flowing passing football...which at the end of the day,is what bp has always been used for and always will.its all very well saying the rugby would pay rent...but i personally would rather have nothing from them,and keep a very decent pitch that we have for football...

maybe maybe not....maybe new investors are coming onboard(ray ransom) who knows the fact the person who does know something but can say,intimates it was only found out yesterday,and if had come to light earlier would have scuppered this latest plan sets alarm bells ringing....then they go on to say it is a total shock for everyone involved.....but at the start says all is well???? mystifying and intriguing to say the least...

they dont see the big picture do they...when was the last time oldham as a town got mentioned on local news or national papers and websites..positively....cant remember yes they have a right to vent there anger at the council spending huge amounts of ratespayers money....but do they not realise by building a new stand,bringing in people from out of town for conferencing means the local economy picks up and the council in the long term get more money to spend on the things they want..... always going to get negative comments from people who do not care about the football club....just waiting for the rugby lot to start now....

lets hope so...and lets hope we get this stand sorted out asap while momentum is building....get the income streams started off. and if we have a good start to the season all the better....do we now change corneys name to THE LONE RANGER....or stick with one amigo...

not given a chance bit really winds me up.....he buggered off on int duty first chance he got missing games,that were meaningless games really in a lot of latics fans eyes...he should of perhaps said,i pulled out of the int duty games as i wanted to make my mark with oldham and show them what i can do.....but he didnt. of the games he did play....did he really put a full shift in and burst the bank trying to get on the score sheet..or in the box????? hardly.... i can only think of one game where he got the ball on halfway line and did a clever back heel to set tounakra free and i think it led to a goal,other than that he was either offside as too slow to get back on side..of pulled for shirt tugging and giving away sill fouls stopping any impetus we managed to get.... says a lot about how he was in training at this point as dickov would rather stick a big defender up front rather than bring him on....add to this his drink driving in december and his fall out with club officials over it....im not suprised he wasnt used more.....the only thing i will say about dickov over this is that if he came out held his hands up and said look,i went off his past playing,his previous record and his ability but im sorry i made a mistake,id be a lot happier..... its hardly a witch hunt considering he's shouting his mouth off all over twitter saying he has nothing to prove to anybody...sorry but he had a bloody lot to prove to latics fans,manager and board...and he didnt or hasnt..... as for the club not being blameless....they probably sat there n said right he goes out on loan,and we still have to pay his wages,or part of them....tell ya what stuff it,lets pay himoff and he can sign perm then put it behind us.....this will allow us to bring in 2 maybe 3 other players before saturday....they obviously hadnt told him of there late decision so he came back,maybe they could or should have....but one way or another he has :censored: his load here....no going back for him now as far as im concerned...

he has 12 months left on his contract....so whats the difference in us paying him up and him signing for them perm,or going onloan for a season,when his contract will then have finished and he wont come back anyway... stick himin the reserves....tell him he cant play for northern ireland....and let him train with ressies in kids....his selfish arsewipe attitude is now going to cost us in bringing in new players...totally disgusted with this kind of player,happy to pick up his wage and do nothing.....he deserves all the abuse n earache he is going to get.
