  1. what exactly did he do wrong apart from nearly creating a goal and calling for a ball off abbott to slot in on 90 +4
  2. smalley is definately out with a back injury for 2-4 months
  3. I rate neal me im sad to see him go if gunter is worth 3 million we should be getting 1 million plus it will be nowhere near that
  4. They have undisclosed it as it will be a :censored:e fee pardon the french but its true we will have sold him for a joke sum i predict 200k plus add ons
  5. people will moan but hes a good player to have on the bench in my opinion he wants a longer deal he has to earn it nice move
  6. This is a joke this why is he so bad? think of a better right back in this league that is realistic for us? his crossing is usually awesome, he beats mean yes he is a bit suspect at defending at times but isnt everyone, some people are a joke for criticising neal hes a good player
  7. If i had a choice none of them but out of the two this american lad, as i think we have gregan and rueban plus him would be quite good, id rather get him in on the cheap and spend the larger budget on the striker, which is miles more important from what ive seen!!! This lad can play it simple, he was continually playing small simple passess to his right back and left back, there is nothing wrong with that from a centre half, in fact its better than just lumping it up top to no-one dont you agree?
  8. I like him, he knows he cant pass so just plays it simple, with a bit of work he will develop, why not offer him a deal it wont be a large some, the source was a player who said he thinks hes been offered a deal
  9. Penney shouted his name to him which was LEMI so after game i shouted LEMI and he turned round, not sure if that name could be shortened for the player in question
  10. My thoughts i like chris o grady i feel sorry for him, you wont see any other player on the pitch that will give their all for the team more than him, but he has to be bench as him and abbott are like for like as you say
  11. He doesnt seem stupid DP we were stood behind him and could hear him talking he will no that we are lacking up top for sure, dont think he rates wolfy, they both seem to rate this rowney kid all they were talking about at 1 point
  12. im not looking too much into tonight as poor opposition drags you down to their level but you can instanly see who can make it and who cant in final summary of positives and worries keeper- not seen brill yet wing backs exite me- eardley and jacobson look class- jacobson even swings a very decent left footed corner in central defence- rueban and gregan as a base- draft someone else solid enough in e.g. haining and we will be ok wingers- taylor, smalley decent plus we have purdie too, the flanks will link up well on both sides central mid- looks very very good- worth not afriad to challenge, furman looks like he will shine and create chances up front the main worry for me for reeasons already stated
  13. Looks like we should have some good balance down the left flank jacobson looks very capable My worries are up front i dont think we have goals in us there we desparately need a prolific frontman i see abbott being someone a decent striker can play off as he has a decent touch but is slow as
  14. Heres the laydown Babajide Ogunbiyi was the centre half at the back- worth another look the trialist up front 2nd half was gash looked like he was on work experience lewis emmanuel- we wouldnt want him we dont need him didnt do much haining looked decent ish wouldnt mind him back to be fair trailist keeper- didnt have much to do but with a haircut like that not worth a 2nd look our players abbott- good touch looks a lazy player though- we deffo need another striker who is quick furman- looks very capable JACOBSON- LOOKED CLASS HE WAS THE ONE I WAS UNCERTAIN WITH BUT LOOKS VERY COMPOSED ON THE BALL gregan- if hes lost half a stone i support cheltenham town eards looked class WOLFY PLEASE FINALLY GET RID GARBAGE and finally a big shout to CHRIS O GRADY who always gives more than any other player always looks interested never gives up even in a meaningless game- give this lad a chance to shine and he will trust me
  15. Why do we require another midfielder? Lets aim for the elusive front man and brick wall at the centre of the defensive line
  16. Wolfy is quite possibly the worst young striker prospect to come out of latics, yet he is still here when he is not needed, just get rid of him finally please!!! I cringe every time he comes on as sub he brings absolutely nothing to league 1 football i would say he wouldnt even shine if he was playing for Hyde United tonight
  17. Leeds United: Whites take Nigerian defender on trial Leeds United « Previous « PreviousNext » Next »View GalleryADVERTISEMENTPublished Date: 02 April 2009 By Phil Hay Leeds United could be set to capture another Major League Soccer prospect after offering a trial to Nigerian defender Babajide Ogunbiyi. The centre-back has flown to England from the United States to take up his invitation from Leeds, and he was beginning his trial at the club's Thorp Arch training complex this morning. Click here to watch the latest edition of the Boot Room as the team look ahead to the away game at Colchester United. Ogunbiyi, 22, has emerged from America's college system and was selected by MLS club New York Red Bulls during the league's 2009 draft, but he is still to take up a contract with the east-coast club and could follow Leeds striker Mike Grella in beginning his professional career in Europe
  18. BLUES boss Mick Wadsworth is lining up Uruguayan-born striker Fabian Yantorno as his next signing. The 26-year-old forward is due to fly into Britain tonight with his representative and is keen to play for Chester City after talks with Wadsworth. Yantorno, who played for Wadsworth when he was caretaker boss at Scottish club Gretna last year, is described by Wadsworth as 'a fantastic talent'. Wadsworth said: "Fabian is a former Uruguayan under 21 international and I'm really excited about the prospect of him playing for Chester City. "He had a marvellous first half to the season with Gretna in the Scottish Premier League while I was there and attracted interest from Rangers and Celtic who were both chasing his signature. "Unfortunately, Fabian picked up a bad knee injury at Christmas time that season and was ruled out of action for the rest of the campaign. "It took him a year to get over the injury, but he played for Scottish League club Hibernian last season, and he was looking at plans to play in Mexico, but I know he is desperate to come and play in Britain again. "I feel very fortunate that I was able to speak to him and that he was willing to come across and play for Chester. "He's a fantastic talent and I know he was a real crowd pleaser and crowd favourite when he was playing for Gretna. "I think he would score goals as well as make goals with Chester and I know he would do well at this level of football. "I'm excited about the prospect of him forging a goalscoring partnership with Gregg Blundell, but we've also got young striker Lloyd Ellams who I have been impressed with in training, and another striker signing is a possibility. "I said when I arrived that one of my priorities was to sign a striker and I think we are now making great strides to assemble a squad of players. "Obviously the budget is limited and I know I can't keep adding players ad infinitum, but we're getting there and I'm trying to keep everyone informed of our progress. "The possibility of signing someone like Fabian Yantorno is really exciting news for everyone at Chester." Montevideo-born Yantorno started his career at Uruguayan Division One club, Miramar Misiones, before moving to Gretna who released him after he picked up his serious knee injury. Hibernian signed him on a two-year contract in August 2008 after offering him the use of their medical and training facilities, but he struggled to secure a place in their first team, and was loaned to Hamilton Academical for the remainder of the season, but the deal was cancelled as Hamilton had already signed senior player, Paul McGowan, on loan and were unable to sign Yantorno on loan. Yantorno failed to feature for Hibs after that, and the club declined their option to extend his contract.
  19. OS takes a swipe at OTHER media sources- the club loves the Chron at the moment But if Dunfermline had it up 1 hour ago it should be on our site at the same time- also did anyone receive text i didnt
  20. Why is Brill automatically 1st choice worries me, pre season has only just started, meaning he has no-one pushing him for the number 1 spot now, you perform well pre season you are given a chance is usually the jist of things, so automatically Brill doesnt need to work hard to be number 1
  21. Exactly if Brill turns out to be not so brill then what do we do if we need to swap them round? put bleedin Ollerenshaw in net thats good hes even more inexperienced than Flem. Ohh no we get a loan keeper in lets go for some crap reserve team keeper from hartlepool when we have our own perfectly good keeper out on loan- seemingly pointless, a joke, beyond belief
