  1. Having seen him live tonight for the first time this season, you can't argue with him full stop. I don't know if that is how he has played in other games but what I saw tonight showed why he gets so much praise, and keeps getting picked by manager after manager. He is the embodiment of, yes a cliche, keeping care of the ball and even before he scored he was in my thoughts as possibly man of the match, until he played the one and only bad pass I saw him play in the 82nd minute. You could always see why clubs like Chelsea wanted. How he gets stick on here, I really have never understood.
  2. Very much not unpleasant, but we really need to stop switching off for a second or two, and letting the opposition. Swindon hardly had a sniff all game, and they really shouldn't have been allowed in for their goal.
  3. Actually Danny P played wide right midfield. And co-incidentally Mike Jones played wide left midfield. So it was more of a two strikers up top score no goals whilst both attacking wide midfielders score shocker. Just a bit less punchy, but far more accurate!
  4. And haven't we got nice new energy-efficient (ie cheap to run) led floodlighting in the new stand?
  5. Hasn't SC played in the management v fans games, maybe got ideas from them, though I have no clue how well he may have played?
  6. Mine too, and can't wait. Just hope we don't do our classic trick of ending everyone else's bad runs.
  7. Wow, my memory, whilst still rubbish, is better than I thought! I clearly remember the changeover, even at the age of twelve!!
  8. Since I don't manage to get to games these days, I forget when they even swapped the home end around, was it the start of this season?
  9. Presumably, that was in the days of two points for a win.
  10. Presumably it changed with the swapping of home ends, since the teams warm up on the RRE side now, don't they?
  11. Just to be clear, I did not mean my post in any way, shape or form in relation to rape, but to the 'smashing in the head assault', and then only as an example of a potential legal defence for assault. I agree wholeheartedly that provocation / temptation / any form of 'asking for it' is no justification for rape, full stop.
  12. Us going 3-2 up may be the proof to your pudding too I think!! And a cracker too it seems!!
  13. One thing to consider is, assuming we can ship out current players, how many of the loanees are realistically 'on loan with a view to a permanent move'?
  14. After listening to the latest DD interview, I suspect Dieng's absence may be more due to him having started the last two games (Sat and mid-week) after not being starter. I think (hope) he may start the next game.
  15. I'm not quite sure that reads the way you intend it, perhaps clarify?
  16. He wouldn't be the first to have seen something in Philliskirk.
  17. Up and down the country, there are loads of massively inadequate employees who have wormed their way into a (usually very well paying) job through a totally deceptive CV and a slick line in bull:censored:. Our board aren't the first, and won't be the last, to succumb. Unfortunately though, most companies provide far more hiding places than the average football club does.
