  1. Lee Duxbury, Sean Gregan, Paul Reid, David Eyres, Dean Furman, Tounkara, Doug Hodgeson, Chris Taylor, Sean Garnett, Paul Rickers, Clint Hill, Gunner Halle, Henry & Millegan
  2. I'd have Duxbury, Eyres, Gregan, Sheridan and Eardley
  3. The guy did get past him for the first goal to get the cross in but it was the opposite corner from where were sat so didnt get a clear view, and no full back stops 100% of crosses during a game. He did well today though and did ok at Walsall. I think he's a decent left back with great potential, he hasn't been at his best in some games this season but thats when he's either had Evina playing in front of him (two kids with not much experience) and Morais or Alessandra who didnt really do much defensively. He's looked much better with Taylor playing in front of him again.
  4. Presuming all the loans get extended i'd go for Brill Lee Hazell/Trotman Mvoto if fit Black White Stephens Furman Evina Tounkara Brooke
  5. I've been having the same problem, i thought it was me doing something wrong!! I ended up paying the €40 to get them from tick tack ticket. Took me ages to find two seats next to each other
  6. I'm taking my nephew to watch Barcelona for his Christmas present (making sure we avoid any Latics games!) does anyone know of any decent company's I can book with. footballbreak.co.uk don’t look too bad price wise but just wondered if anyone could recommend anyone they have used thanks
  7. If he's fully fit he's starts, he is by far the best player at the club, but i think it might be better to have him come as as sub for a couple of games or at least a full reserve team game, it was only a week or so ago that the club released a statement saying he was unfit for any matches so i cant see how he is ready yet. Once he's proved he's match fit he's the first name on the team sheet
  8. I never said he was a youngster who had only played a few games, but he hasn't had the chance to improve and develop in the reserves/out on loan - basically away from all our fans who have a go at him all the time - like the other players mentioned in the post i was replying to (Lee, Stephens, Black, Alessandra), my point was could this be one of the reasons why he has struggled to carry on improving? He's never going to be a world beater but he does have the ability to play at this level if not the championship but there is still the chance he could drop down the leagues if he doesnt get his act together. I dont think he should be written off yet though
  9. Could this be part of the problem? The others have had to chance to progress without having people booo them most of the time they make a mistake. He is still fairly young and will be incosistant especially until he gets fully match fit, but he still has time to improve. He's been injured a fair bit the last year or so and will take his time to get back to best. We always seen to write off our players very quickly, it happened with Smalley, Eardley, Black and Alessandra was getting stick last season, now Taylor this season, fair enough they have all had their fair share of bad games but at their age and at this level of football they are going to, these are the players we should be getting behind 100% how many times have people moaned that our young players should be given a chance instead of bringing players in on loan yet if there not playing like Messi within a few games they start getting told how crap they are.
  10. i'll call into the oldham branch tomorrow, to be honest i keep meaning to move to another bank i've had nothing but problems with them
  11. When i'm trying to set up a standing order its saying that the account number is invalid, ive got account number 10176018 and sort code 16-27-11 are these correct?
  12. I got told that by the carpark attendent on that car park at the Bolton game
  13. What justification is needed to believe in something? If someone wants to believe in something then thats their decision, they do not need anyone elses approval to do so.
  14. Dad - oldham fan, was a season ticket holder for 40+ years mum - was a city fan until my dad convinced her going to latics would be better nephew - latics fan - he had no choice, me and my dad started taking him when he was about 5, got his first season ticket when he was 7 - same as what my dad did with me uncle - united fan, though he's starting to lose interest the last couple of years cousins - one oldham fan, two united fans
  15. I'd keep; Smalley Lee Stephens Black Brooke Ollerenshaw Dawson Rowney McKerr Steer Ojapah Millar Bembo-Leta McGrath Eaves
  16. I'll be renewing, as will my nephew. This season has been crap there's no denying that, but this is our football club and we need to support them through the bad times as well as the good. It's not just the crap football thats made it such a rubbish season its the atmosphere and negativity in the stands that has really stood out for me. There have been bad times before but i can't remember such negative atmospheres at games with what seems like a constant stream of abuse directed at both the manager and players. Let's hope next season we get off to a good start, we start supporting the team again and we start playing with some passion
  17. Am i the only one who thought Parker did ok today? ok he wasn't outstanding but he made several good runs (which weren't seen by his team mates) and played several good passes. He may not be out best player (and his record when through one on one with the keeper isn't exactly something to brag about) but we have far worse players in our squad; he may not chase lost causes all afternoon and has been known to back out of 50/50 challenges but that doesn't make him an awful player. And until Nardiello is fit again we dont' have anyone else anyway
  18. I've seen Steer play a few times for Arsenal youths a few times playing on the in the past and he always look pretty good, he can pass, put a decent cross in and whilst not lightning quick he does have a bit of pace, his defending was never the best however that can be improved with decent training, he played no the wing a few times when i saw him too as well as left back. The problem players like him will have is they are used to playing football a certain way, there used to playing with players who want the ball and who play good passing football. It can take them time to adjust to how football is played in the lower leagues and sometimes they are just not given enough time
  19. How many of our players are not inconsistent though? Gregan (though he was a bit dodgey at times yesterday) and Abbott are the only two really. Colbeck is still young enough to improve though and at the moment who else do we have to play on the wings? And whoever we play out there has no-one to aim for in the box anyway at the moment. When we have a fully fit squad i doubt Colbeck will make the first 11 but until then we don't have many other options. I don't really like him that much myself but he has been getting a lot of stick and most of it as been uncalled for, he has a bit of pace to get past a full back and can pick out a good cross and puts the effort in, you can't really ask much else at this level. Hopefully with a some decent coaching his control and positional sense will improve
  20. Colbeck and Parker are the only players we have who can put a decent ball into the box. Colbeck was our best player by far at Walsall, and from the reports i've read had a good game at Norwich and Brighton too, i've yet to see him play well at home though.
  21. Pogs Eardley Gregan Hill Armstrong Lids Duxbury Wellens Eyres Porter Abbott Subs Grant, Hall, Haining, Murray, Croft, Beckett
  22. My ex-boyfriend is attending with his kid (6) and 3 of his brothers (7, 10, 12) if that makes any difference, i wasn't having a go at anyone just giving my opinion
  23. I will be taking my nephew with me, he turns 9 next week. I've been dragging him along and buying season tickets for him for the last couple of years so he's had to sit through a lot of crap and these are the games that will make him want to come back (as long as we win!) He's been to Leeds away for the last two seasons and will be going again this season. We sit in the main stand and although there were a few Leeds fans in there last season there was no real trouble and doubt there will be this season. My dad always took me games like this when i was a kid and i will take my nephew to any game he wants to go to, there will be a decent atmosphere and as a kid its the games you remember and enjoy more. I've had a season ticket since the 89/90 season since i was 7 and been to on average about 60-70% of away games each season and only ever seen any serious trouble at two games, west ham away in the cup a few season ago (though it was police that seemed to be causing most of the problems not the fans) and at maine road when we beat them 2-1.
