  1. On his way out of QPR Skysports.com understands Leon Clarke is poised to leave Queens Park Rangers before the close of the transfer window. The former Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday striker has found himself surplus to requirements at Loftus Road after not being handed a squad number by the Premier League new boys. Clarke, who joined QPR in the summer of 2010, has struggled to hold down a place in Neil Warnock's side and had a spell on loan at Preston last season. Swindon have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old, but a number of other clubs are also thought to have made enquiries about Clarke. Clarke is now waiting to see what offers come his way before deciding where to continue his career.
  2. the differance second half was they knew we had no speed in defence started putting the balls over the top instead of hitting high balls in which we won all the time.

  17. LOANEE Liam Dickinson insists Huddersfield Town are as good, if not better than, tomorrow's table-topping hosts Oldham Athletic. Dickinson knows several of the Latics players from his time in the north-west where he made his name at Stockport County. The 22-year-old also faced Oldham pre-season in a warm up game with his parent club Derby County. Huddersfield approach ADVERTISEMENTthe fixture some nine points adrift of Oldham and still way off the pace in 15th spot in the League One table but Dickinson has seen enough already to suggest Town could eventually emerge the superior side. Dickinson extended his loan from Derby by a further month this week and is full of confidence ahead of tomorrow's visit to Boundary Park (kick-off 3pm). "I know a couple of the lads down there and they are a good bunch of lads," he said. "We played them pre-season at Derby and they are a very tough outfit but, with what we've got, we're as good, if not better than what they've got." Oldham will start the game as overwhelming favourites with John Sheridan's side still unbeaten in the league this campaign. However, Dickinson has no problem with the underdogs tag and feels the Latics may be sucked into a false sense of security. "It's going to be a tough game, they are top of the league and they have had a flying start to the season," admitted the striker. "We are definitely going to need to be up for it and they will probably see us as being in the bottom half of the table and think we might be a bit of a walkover – but that won't be the case. "We've trained hard this week, we're feeling good and we're looking forward to the game. "Hopefully, we can go down there and get the three points." Dickinson will be looking to continue his impressive scoring record which reached new heights last season when he scored 21 times for promoted Stockport before his £750,000 transfer to Pride Park. The Salford-born marksman has proved an instant hit during his loan spell at the Galpharm Stadium – netting twice in his opening five games – and the striker hopes to bag further goals in the next month to attract more glances from his manager Paul Jewell. Breaking into the Derby team is Dickinson's long term goal en route to a quest for the Premiership but Dickinson feels Huddersfield, too, have every chance of jumping divisions. The striker concedes that Leeds have to be seen as title favourites, but he insists the Terriers can very much target automatic promotion. "I think you've obviously got to put Leeds up there – just down to what they did last season," he said. "That was unreal. "To pull back that deficit was a great effort and the are definitely going to be contenders for the league this year. "Huddersfield have also definitely got the potential to get promoted automatically and if not then definitely in the play-offs. "But they should definitely be looking for automatic, definitely." 18. Not having a go at Davies but in my mind they should have kicked the ball otu of play for the guy on floor but no they went on to try and score and i think we would have been in our rights to do the same, you can bet your botton dollar if they had scored he would have been straight up.
