This season there will be only 6 reserve home games in the Central League West division. These games will take place at Chapel Road. Admission has been set at £2 for Adults and £1 for children. ALL MONIES TAKEN FROM ADMISSION WILL BE DONATED TO OLDHAM ATHLETIC YOUTH TEAM. Season ticket holder will be able to claim free admission on production of relevant voucher. Those that have been to Chapel Road will know that facilities are pretty basic. Toilets at the changing room block are about it. No refreshments unless you want to take a hike to local shops. Mrs D suggested that we could run a refreshment stall - I countered with half the profit should go to Youth Team funds. Latics have given it their blessing. So from this Monday's reserve game against Macclesfield Town there will be a refreshments stall at all Reserve and Youth games at Chapel Road. Usual fare. Tea, Coffee, cans, crisps and chocolate. Half of the profit will be donated to Youth Team Funds for Tony Philiskirks use.

Just sorted that - thanks for posting the info. Also unlike Scunthorpe who limited the promotion to 100 tickets Walsall have no limit to the away fans who can use the vouchers in the promotion - so 1700 are available at £19.50 for two.

Tuesday sees the first team take on Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park (19.45). On Wednesday (19.00) the reserves open their Manchester Senior Cup campaign against Manchester City at Hyde Uniteds Ewen Fields. Admission is expected to be £4 & £2 which is usual admission for MSC games. Just returned from Accrington Stanley v Rochdale in the Youth Alliance at the Crown Ground. I was amazed to see them selling the full range of Clayton Park pies for £1. How much are they at BP £2.40?

WE are Latics have in sticker packs for the last four games of the season - just buy one pack at £1 - it contains all four issues. I now make it 2 matches havent been produced yet - Match 30 Oldham v Hartlepool and match 42 Yeovil v Oldham. The maker tells me that he is still waiting for fact from Latics to produce the stickers for the special issue.

Last seasons senior youth team goalkeeper Shaun Routledge has been signed by Morecambe Without ever being outstanding last season Shaun did little wrong - until the day he learnt he wasnt going to be offered a contract when his game went to pieces for the rest of th season. Certainly he was voluble - his voice will certainly echo around the Globe Arena. Good luck Shaun

The Latics pre-season finishes when a Oldham Athletic reserve side take on Ashton United at their Hurst Cross ground on Wednesday (19.30). A repeat of last seasons friendly when Sean Gregan made one his last apperances for us in a otherwise very young side. That ended in a draw with Latics equalising late in added time. Entry is £5 for Adults and £3 for concessions. Club will be open before and after the game. No programmes but "may" do a teamsheet. Set your satnav for OL6 8DY. The season opens for the Youth team on Saturday morning at Chapel Road. Kick off is sceduled for 11.00 but games often kick off earlier especially when a club has a fair distance to travel home - so if you are attending I reccomend being there for 10.45. Opponents are Carlisle United who much to the chagrin of manager Eric Kinder finished wooden spoonists last season. Last season Carlisle player broadcast youth team commentary on most games - Its just two chaps on the sidelines with a mobile phone so the sound is a little off but great effort by them to do it. Teamsheets for the game will be avaiable at 10p. In the afternoon the first team begin their campaign against Sheffield United at Boundary Park (15.00)

Not even that sir. LSC and MSC games are not included in the "free entry" criteria for home games - they have always attracted a entry fee of £4/£2.

Latics have not announced where we will be playing home reserve games next season yet but with Bury, Rochdale, Accrington Stanley and Shrewsbury Town not playing in the Central League (North) Division next season there will only be six home and six away games plus Lancashire and Manchester Senior Cup ties. The First team get a run out again on Tuesday (19.45) against local neighbours Burnley. On Wednesday the reserves open their home pre-season also against Burnley's reserves. Game will be at Chapel Road with a sceduled KO of noon. On Saturday TP's lads round up their pre-season with a game at Sheffield United's academy (11.00). The Sheffield United academy team reached the Final of the FA Youth Cup last season so a testing time is in prospect. The game is at Firshill, Sheffield - SatNav S4 7DR. When the two teams met in a friendly at Chapel Road, City declined to let me have a team for the teamsheet.
