This is the biggest issue for me. There is absolutely no creativity in this team. We pass it around aimlessly with no urgency. We allow teams to get back behind the ball which means we then struggle to break them down and create chances. The sooner we get someone in the middle who can find a killer pass, the better

Just got home and just hope the players read these comments. That was absolutely sub-standard. It was shite, weak as piss, they were outfought, outthought, lacklustre, showed no desire or pride. My sons under 11 team show more fight than they did tonight. If you had asked which team was bottom of the league then you would easily say the soft as shit, whinging players in blue. Fucking crap. The players need to know that that kind of ‘performance’ is nowhere near acceptable. Better sort themselves out quick and they better be in training first thing in the morning, if thats not too much trouble for them

Some awful scenes today and both clubs, small sections of both sets of fans and gmp are all responsible. Stewards were absolutely useless. Stood by and did nothing when Dales schooligans were kicking the hoardings in and constantly throwing coins and objects at latics fans. It would appear there were sets of wankers in all four stands today. They need identifying so they cant attend games again

TAU sent a latics fan flying to the ground outside Wilbutts Lane stand after the game, when they were running down the street. Just left him there. Anyone know if was ok?

Anyone had tickets in the post from the club yet? Not received mine yet. Confirmation email said they would be posted out w/c 2nd Oct. Tried phoning ticket office but says they are shut!!

Getting sick of his lies

I completely agree with the sentiment behind this podcast, and it is completely true that the club is rebuilding and things off the pitch are the best they have been for a very long time. I trust the board to get this club back into the league but it I do believe it is correct to question if the board have made the correct decision in appointing DU. The results are not good enough for the faith the board have shown in him and also the financial backing they have given. I appreciate the board may see that differently as we are only 5 points off the playoffs, but my opinion is that we should be at least in the playoffs already. The reason we are not is down to the managers tactics. Each week I look at who we play and think about how I would set up and never get anywhere near to what DU does. Saturday was criminal IMO. One up front? Four strikers on the bench? No midfielder on the bench? No keeper on the bench (dangerous game to play). As for the match itself! He claims we pressed them. No we didn’t. We packed the midfield when we were out of possession and their centre backs didn’t have the quality to play out passed it. It was their lack of quality that kept it at 0-0. When we did have the ball, Norwood was chasing shadows because we couldn’t put a quick pass in if our lives depended on it! All our issues came down to how we were set up. No pace, no space, no tempo, no desire to get forward. We laboured to a shit 0-0 draw (and lets be honest, they won 1-0) all because DU doesn’t know how to set a team up to win. Its the Ev***on shite mentality of just don’t lose. The same thing that has seen them win fuck all in 30 years, and the same thing that will stop us getting promoted

If what he says is what he actually believes then we are fucked with him in charge. Its the same drivel every week. I wouldn’t ask him to set up a deck chair, let alone a professional football team. I worry for what has to happen for the board to act. I genuinely wanted it to work with Unsworth, but it just isn’t. There will be more heavy handed policing at games and clubs will look at possibly reducing numbers of tickets and/or placing our further backnin stands where possible. As usual a minority of wankers ruin a good day out for people who have enough brain cells to behave
