  1. But the oppo would have something to think about at least. We are losing 1-0 but we might win the odd game 2-1 or 3-2. We do have Mellor or Connor Brown to close the back door if needed. Currently we are losing with a wimper.
  2. Surely he has been let down by the likes of Rooney. Mac's injuries - although expected - haven't helped. Millar has been underwhelming too. Only LJ will know if Rooney is showing signs in training but if he isn't he should be moved on for someone else. Surely Rooney's wages would attract a decent striker. An old head would help but it has to be LJ's final decision with advice.
  3. What is wrong with... Oxley Kusunga Tarky Grounds Worrall Wes Smith Dayton Harkins Philli JCH/Macdonald
  4. I would be more worried if the chances were absent.
  5. A lack of budget is taking us down the league IMO and possibly a lack of experience in the management team, but would an experienced assistant dampen the LJ's USP? The whole point of LJ is his refreshing attitude to football. Isn't it?
  6. All the best Bob. And everyone who posts or has ever posted on here from anywhere in the world. Good will and peace to all.
  7. "I Started Something I Couldn't Finish" The Smiths OR Ian 'bloody' Robins OR "WINDY!!"
  8. Is Tarky suspended now for totting up his yellow cards?
  9. I thought of Youngy but I was too young at the time to know why! It will be all in the book via Playershare... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Youngy-The-Autobiography-Alan-Young/dp/0752497162
  10. Credit where it is due. I thought Cliff Byrne was spot on when he came in. He even got forward. Good on him!!
  11. Or it can go the other way and he performs like Byrne yesterday. I'm sure if wouldn't but that is the risk. Iffy Cliffy was out of condition yesterday but LJ is still fit. Lee sees himself as a manager now judging by his comments.
  12. Very sad news Ian. My condolences to you and the family.
  13. So did I... Southport away as a 3 year old (nearly 4 ) with mum, dad and grandparents in the Championship winning season 1973/1974. Servants though: Big Joe as an employee and as a proud fan Jimmy Frizzell Big Gordon Alan Hardy Billy Urmson Andy Ritchie as an employee and as a proud fan All the lottery/ moonraker scratch card/ programme sellers and turnstile attendants spring to mind.
  14. In hindsight and at the time, removing PD's staff was great and required leadership from the top. Well done Mr Corney for saving us from relegation. That is what he did.
  15. Anyone else wonder if the deal goes through and Simon Blitz is paid his £1 - 2 Million or whatever, we are then in more danger of administration that ever? Hope not but there would be much less to lose for TTA and little prospect of realizing the debts in the near future. Its like the old saying that if you owe the bank £500 and can't pay, then you are in trouble but if you owe them £5 million then the bank is in trouble...
  16. 3 clubs with longstanding traditions merge full of hope for a new beginning. The new club struggles to muster 3500-4000 fans. New club goes bust and hardly anyone sheds a tear... Its a 'no' from me!
