  1. Cheeky to charge £15 I reckon. Carlisle isn't the best for a competitive match but a pre-season friendly? Chris Taylor got his 1st league goal for Latics at Brunton Park, can't think of anything else that was remotely positive...
  2. When the heat is on, Warburton would be toast
  3. Signing Evans would turn our squad and club harmony upside down. He might end up at Carlisle with Connor Brown!
  4. The Ronnie Moore era. Even when we won it felt like a defeat when walking out of the ground. Thank goodness for Luke Beckett. The football was dire. Only trumped by Dave Penney, dire football and less wins!
  5. Graeme Sharp. His experience as a player was vital back in the day but took so much stick. As manager he presided over the slide down the leagues caused by a lack of investment from Mr Stott JWL and the board. He was helpless and a little hapless having been thrown in at the deep end as boss in an impossible situation.
  6. I thought the Athleticos came of age yesterday. Really got the crowd going.
  7. I always remember Big Joe's philosophy of "Collecting strikers" so I would say yep!
  8. Paul Murray is Hartlepool United boss. This could have more to do with the Mike Ashley network possibly. I think Connor is too good for L2 but not quite L1 either.
  9. The start of the Sports Direct network of loans etc?
  10. Morrissey "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday" My love,Wherever you are, Whatever you are, Don't lose faith. I know it's gonna happen someday To you. Please wait . . . Please wait . . . Ah, ha, ha, Wait . . . Don't lose faith. You say that the day Just never arrives And it's never seemed so far away. Still I know it's gonna happen someday To you. Please wait . . . Don't lose faith
  11. "Clarkson represented Scotland twice in 2008" -The reliable source that is Wikipedia Top strikers are queuing up for a game for the sweaties I guess. Motherwell on the other hand have their pick..
  12. Me too. I remember Derby had away support in there. Funnily enough I remember Rotherham United fans in the RRE side of the Main Stand Paddock singing Ronnie Moore's name pretty much all the way through the game when I was a kid. How things turn out...
