He really seems to panic in front of goal, once he gets a few, hopefully he'll get a few more. He certainly has the ability, whereas there have been question marks over this for previous homegrown strikers.

Only players who were free agents when the deadline passed can sign for someone, if we released JP now he couldn't sign for anyone until January. He CAN go out on loan though.

3-0 to Wales with 20 minutes left! 2 goals from corners and now a 3rd on the counter. Neal's had a good game from what I can see, he may have put the ball forward to get men over for the 3rd goal too. Looks like he could miss the Hereford game on the 12th playing in the playoff though!

Unfortunately not. Wales need to win to qualify for the Euro U21 Championships in Sweden in June though, so it's a big game.

Neal Eardley made his 100th appearance for Latics on Saturday, which is an absolutely incredible achievement for a teenager! Well done Neal! He also has the honour of captaining the Wales U21 side in Romania tonight. =)

It's a right funny situation for sure, however you look at it... I don't know how many fans they'll bring on Saturday, but I'm pretty sure it'll be more than the 88 and 75 they had the first 2 times we played them... And it isn't as if I'll feel anger towards them or anything, I don't know, maybe I'll just be bemused. In some ways I think they're "better" than plastic "Yoo-nar-ted" fans who've never been to a game, as they've taken the plunge to support a lower league side and travel to an away game miles away, but then in other ways... I just don't know. An odd situation really.

To be fair, by all accounts Leeds were fantastic on Saturday.

I think a football club is defined by its history, relationship with its local area, and its generations of fans. MK Dons have none of this. It has no definition, it has no soul. The good news is that AFC Wimbledon have started like a house on fire and could be playing in the Conference Premier next season.

Got a feeling we'll be featured a bit on Big League Weekend at 6.30, especially with no Championship games to show. Also the show will have Player Of The Month announced, so they could have had cameras at BP for that being presetned to Taylor?.

I reckon we could be featured a little bit on on BLW, because they had a (small) TV camera set up behind the goal.

I reckon Gregan gets away with a lot as the referees know he is experienced, and he also has the captain's armband. I also thing he knows when he's about to get sent off and calms down just enough.

I think lots of Latics fans will be coming home saying "That was a great win", as you lot showed why you'd won 3 out of 3 at home. It's a credit to you pressing us that we couldn't get our game going fully (apart from a few spells in the 2nd half), and I think the same could be said of us forcing you backwards, then long sometimes. To everyone denying that we weren't that good in the 1st half, I'd have to say Tranmere were the better side for the 1st 45. Shez admitted as much, and he had a go at the lads at half time. Overall though, a great, committed performance by both sides, a good pulsating game.

Everyone was saying he would be better on the right. He probably would have been! But he's been coached to play well on the left, and it's arguable to say he's as good or better on the left now.
