  1. What is he supposed to do? Miss chances? If he misses does that mean he is showing remorse? To be honest, I dont think he should be doing that stupid dance when he scores, especially away from home and especially at a place like Millwall. He should just put the ball in the net and silence his critics in that way.
  2. The only manager ever to get the best out of Michael Ricketts is Sam Allardyce. He might be ok at Walsall but they are certainly not getting the best out of him. We have been a much better side without Ricketts in the team, which to me suggests Shez realised he made a mistake in signing him and decided to get rid.
  3. I think a better poll would have been Davies and Hughes or Porter and Warne. Id pick Porter and Warne basically because we are not scoring more than one a game at the moment and we have struggled all season for goals. When Porter and Warne were fit last season we were at our best, and if those two were up front now I think we would have had an extra four points from the last two games, and a much more comfortable than 1-0 win against Crewe.
  4. The point I was actually trying to make was that it is both the players and the managers fault, but only the manager seems to get the blame.
  5. Scott Carson is hardly some untested kid though is he. The decision was wrong tonight, and the manager will undoubtedly pay for that, but its not the managers fault that Carson cocked up like that. Plus, with the other options being Calamity James and Paul Robinson, then it wouldnt have made much of a difference. The manager will go, has to go, but sooner or later people have got to realise that its not all the manager fault. If players cant do the basics (ie, if a goalie cant catch it, defender cant play offside, midfielder cant pass) and these are the best players we have got, then people must surely realise that it isnt all the managers fault.
  6. Scolari's Portugal side is one of of the biggest set of cheat ever. I wouldnt want an England team to be like that. Plus, with Mourinho and Lippi in that list you have two managers who are better (I know the cheating argument doesnt hold up with them two but I really cant stand Scolari, and Portugal in the last world cup were worse than Italy for general diving and play acting, and worse than Chelsea have been for it.) Whats important is getting the right man. And Scolari is not the right man.
  7. Who picked Scolari?! That guy, a good manager he may be, is a ******. Unfortunately I dont think any English candidates are good enough so Id go for Mourinho or Lippi. My first choice would be Lippi. When Sven had the job the press kept saying " well he may be a club manager but he cant do it at international level." And that was the reason for us not being world beaters. Id like to find out the reson for us not being world beaters if we have a world cup winning manager in charge.
  8. Its a shame but we have to agree with him. They looked miles better than us in every single department. McLaren will and should take a lot of the blame because he is the manager, but its about time that people actually started to realise its the players fault. Steven Gerrard is a world beater for Liverpool but he is shocking for England. The same goes for Lampard with Chelsea. With tonights game, McLaren will be slated for picking Carson, but its hardly the managers fault that he let the first one in. And no one can say the manager is at fault because the left back cannot play offside. But ultimately, the manager has to take the rap, and I expect him to be gone soon. In reality though, what difference will changing the manager make?
  9. I was thinking the same thing. Will forward it later tonight.
  10. I receiverd that reply. Is he saying that the club have asked fans to launch vicious attacks on him? As far as I am concerned they haven't. Surely he cannot go round saying that the club are asking fans to launch a "quite vicious and unwarranted personal attack"on him?
  11. Is he really though? Or is he still going to continue being rubbish in the big games? Eevry year we say "well, Manning will improve this year" but he gets to the important part of the season and then loses it. On Sunday he gave away 3 delay of game penalties at cruicial times...AT HOME! If we were away I could understand it, but there is no excuse for doing it at home. In the end it cost us bigtime. He really needs to start having big games at the right time.
  12. Text from BB80: "Meeting going well so far. Some concerns on the size of the North Stand ad also the light pollution. No other worries yet. Just voted unanimously for the noth stand to be built. Now moving to the rest of the ground which is a 2nd application".
  13. If its on target and either side of Crossley then its a goal, simple as. Beresford looks like a miles better keeper. I think the main reason we did not win yesterday was that we were knackered, and also we were playing against a very good team. For the last 20-30 mins the lads looked very tired, and as we were against a good team it cost us.
  14. Surely this poll should have another option of "only time will tell" because I cant agree with any of the three options.
  15. Im thinking you should change your name to Bob Lob, and you should open your own lawyers practise. If I was going to think of names for your company it would be Bob Lob Law. John Sheridan= OAFC legend. Everyone should show some loyalty, simple as. Everyone moans when no loyalty is shown by a player, ala Wellens and Porter, but no loyalty is shown by the fans. Give him a chance!
  16. Was a very easy game. Atlanta were poor. Seemed to take the foot off the gas in the second half. We should win on Sunday (touch wood) then hopefully put on a show in London.
  17. Apparently Green Bay has a population of 100,000 people, and they get 60,000 for a game. Madness!
  18. I hope what happens is Tony Romo throws you to the playoffs...then fumbles the snap on a game winning field goal....again!
  19. Is it a million sizes too big? My Tiki Barber (so gutted he retired) top is humongous, and its only a medium! You would think the replica ones would be slightly smaller because I'm obviously not going to wear it with pads.
  20. The tickets I've won only get you admission from 4pm. Read somewhere that they are advising ticket holders to get to the ground at about 12pm, and non ticket holders for 4pm, so doubt they would be any use to you to be honest.
  21. Well, no one did pay that much and he left on a free, which is good enough reason to say that no one was willing to pay it. When it became clear he was going to Scotland someone could have easily offered to buy him on the cheap (which I am sure we would have accepted), but no one did.
  22. Ive not managed to get hold of tickets, which Im pretty gutted about. I have won a couple of tickets for the tailgate/game screening party at Wembley arena, so just need to pursuade one of my mates that it will be a good idea. I Watched the Giants last night. First half was poor but the second was quite impressive. If they keep up this form in the next few games then Miami should be worried. The next three all look winnable, Atlanta away next week, then San Francisco at home (bit of a rivalry there), then Miami before the bye week. Fingers crossed, things will be looking good after Wembley.
  23. It will be at least $380,000 per year, as that is the minimum MLB wage. The average for 2006 was $2,699,292, so Im guessing he will be pretty loaded. MLB FAQ- Wages
  24. Lots of football (and most other sports) on here for free. You need programmes like Sopcast, TVants, TVU etc... to play them, but its all free: http://www.myp2p.eu/index.htm
