I don't want Shez out, but Ricketts is a steaming pile of crap. So what if he gets a few flick ons? He's striker, why isn't he scoring? It's that simple. Why hasn't he been properly dropped when we have a enthusiastic lad with such potential in Matty Wolfenden crying to get a spell in the first team rather than play a few odd games here and there. I think players need to be picked based of motivation and performance rather than reputation. You can say Davies has been equally bad as Ricketts but you'd be wrong. Davies has scored more, he looks more dangerous when he gets the ball near the opponents box, he shoots. Ricketts might have scored the chances Davies missed today but the fact is Ricketts wasn't there to miss the chance. I don't think firing Sheridan will help matters although I have questioned his tactical ability. It was his lack of experience (in not seeing where we were weak last season in January and reinforcing what was a tired squad) which cost us promotion, League 1 title was at our feet when we were 1-0 against Millwall at home and that's when our title hopes went down the swanny river. Please Shez, unleash the Wolf....5 straight starts and let's see what he can really do! I think he's chatting a load of ginger snap.

People expect too much from Taylor, he's just a kid. I agree with the guy who said we should stick him in the reserves for a while. Taylor gets bullied too easily, we need to sign a strong left sided player and nurture Taylor through slowly.

It's alright, if Ricketts only scores another 3 times before the end of the season it will be okay because he gets these little flick ons and holds the ball well. Let's get serious Ricketts is a striker, he didn't look a threat at all last night. I've never been quick to criticise any player and will back every player on the pitch, but I'm not going to wear rose tinted specs and say this player is excused for not doing his job because he did something as minor as a flick on.

Neither did anything pretty but Ricketts was just lost in no man's land and was tired after 50 minutes, he didn't run for anything. Davies at least chased the ball down, made a few half chances (across the goal and Taylor almost latched onto it, where was Ricketts? Oh yeah catching his breath at the half way line).

He didn't know where he was tonight and yes in the 50th minute he was visibly out of breath and I couldn't wait for Wolfy to come on which happened too late IMO. Had an open header six yards out which went wide and I only remember one decent thing he did which was a first touch pass outwide to Taylor in the first half. Defence looked a lot better tonight which is a plus, Leeds hoofed the ball into our area and it was cleared or caught by Crossley most of the time who played well and made a class save from a Prutton header. I'm not too gutted and am not going to drum on about any negatives other than Ricketts because frankly I think he is appauling. I really hope Wolfy gets a few starts now until Hughes is back at least because Ricketts is slow, unfit and has no idea where he is at. He has the stamina of.....something which has little or no stamina.

The Chaddy has lost its voice over the past few seasons. Could their be a correlation between us not singing as much/loud and Latics not coming from behind to win? We need to raise the players when we're behind. If the drum is the cause of reduced amount/volume of singing then yes it needs to go.
