  1. Hope Millwall can beat Colchester and Yeovil get one back.
  2. I concur. I don't think anybody foresaw Exeter and Tranmere winning, even if they were at home. For me, this game against Gillingham was to put a bit of space between us and the bottom pack, but now we need to win it to keep in touch with them. And, when you see Tranmere and Exeter beating Norwich and Colchester at home, by 2 goals, it really makes our draw with Brentford look bad, and perhaps costly.
  3. Tomorrow is now a must win 'cause we need to keep up with the teams around us.
  4. 4-2-4 tomorrow. Against a team who haven't won away all season, and without their top scorer. We need to bombard them for 90 minutes. 4-2-4 is how we need to play with :censored: and Worthington in the middle. And play the full backs as wing backs.
  5. I have also heard this from my Uncle's, window cleaner's, goldfish's former owner.
  6. You'd have seen an empty pitch and thought "Keigan Parker's returned from his loan spell".
  7. We have terrible fans. We don't generate any sort of home atmosphere and haven't done for years....we get on the team's back far too easily and we expect far too much, far too soon. What happened to the fans which gave Joe Royle nearly a decade to get success? If I wasn't an Oldham fan I'd hate playing for the club, we're just a big empty shell, playing at a crap ground. I think we're the worse fans in the country, I dunno what it is, we're just nothing....no unity, no spirit, no uniqueness. We're just a bunch of observers who can't let go that we've had our place in the sun and expect far too much from our little town team. Too quick to draw comparisons with our giant neighbours. I think the jist of my point is: Our fans are pretty crap.
  8. I noticed Brighton are playing Southampton tonight which I thought was rather peculiar. So, when was the last time Oldham played in the league on a Thursday evening? We played Blackpool in 02/03 on boxing day Thursday at 13:00, but having a hard time finding our last Thursday evening league match.
  9. It ain't fooling anyone, but at least they put some effort into it.
  10. There's no such thing as traditional Wigan fans.
  11. Simon Davey has taken over at Darlo. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11767_6068516,00.html
  12. Says him with Paul Scholes in a Latics shirt as his avatar.
  13. Gregan doesn't have back to back promotions on his C.V and has no managerial experience. Whether you like it or not the best person at the club to manage us is Dave Penney. And right now Gregan is one of our most consistent performance and perhaps the reason we aren't in the relegation zone, do you really want to jeopardise his on field performance by giving him a ton of off field responsibility? Hell, if we're bringing anyone in as manager at this point it'd be David Eyres for me. That said, Penney should remain until the end of the season at least. Give him the chance to get us out of this mess. At the point, the only thing we can do is back our manager....we aren't going to magically pull out a top notch replacement out of a hat. A new manager would need time to settle in, take Joe for instance, a superb manager, proven himself 10 fold with us and Everton. He could only get 1 win out of 10 last season, is that a reflection on him as a manager? No, it was reflection on a team gone to the dogs (no pun intended). There's no time for change this season, that point has past. Whatever is wrong with us at the moment, manager or team, all we can do is pull together, grind it out and hope by the end of the season we a point more than the team in 21st. Then we re-assess the situation. Yes, I'd take Jim Gannon next season. BUT I don't totally object to Penney seeing out his final year.
  14. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Oldha...icle376255.html Gregan's got another year on his playing contract left and he'd be a silly appointment.
  15. Can't see it being that late either, it's not being shown live in America. I reckon the main event will be 10PM. Razza - I too am attending. I reckon Haye will KO Ruiz in round 7.
  16. The lesson is, when the police ask you to co-operate, you co-operate. They deal with enough crap for some small irrelevant woman to start screaming at them in such a volatile situation like a protest where most of the abuse is aimed at the officers just trying to keep the peace. We acknowledge that the police do a difficult job, we acknowledge that sometimes they have to use force in order to enforce the law, we as the public give the police a level of authority to make those calls and now because one woman got a bang on the leg some people are up in arms about the police officer's choice to use his baton, despite him previously warning the woman (twice from what we can see on the video, it could have been more). You can't have it both ways, the police officer made the call here to use his baton, we were not there in that situation, we were not the focal point of all that abuse, who are we to judge whether the police officer's decision to use his weapon was right or wrong, unless you were him or another officer being mobbed by 100s of people hurling abuse and the sort, then you can't. It's easy watching a video, a bit different when you're in the middle of it.
  17. I hate protesters. This women got what she deserved. She had 2 opportunities to back off, she ignored both of them. It's her own fault. You don't wit da powlice.
  18. Abbott's first goal was pretty damn good. Charlie McDonald's was better though.
