  1. Chris Shuker is out of contract at the end of the season. Always thought he was a good player in this division, when fit of course.
  2. 300k? We couldn't get 300k for a talented Welsh international right back.....or 20 goal League Two striker.
  3. It's the point that confirms our safety.....it can't be thought of as anything but a good point.
  4. I couldn't go back to the original Mario Kart. MK Wii is just awesome and with more maps and power ups it's just an class game. The old version just won't have aged well. It was ready to happen, the game was ready to be released for XBOX Live Arcade, with online play and then it got pulled 'cause Microsoft, Nintendo and Activision couldn't agree on money. http://kotaku.com/344084/xbla-goldeneye-wa...y-done-now-dead They actually updated the graphics so they wouldn't be pixelated on HDTV's....like not a complete upgrade, but smoothing them out as they have done with other XBLA games. But Perfect Dark is out with some Goldeneye maps. Whilst Goldeneye was a top game.....the best game ever imo is Snatcher.
  5. Would rather have a proper goal scorer in our team alongside Pav. Latics should put their hands in their pockets and beat off any other League One competition for Paul Heffernan.
  6. If Linfield's best ever player can't cut it at Stockport then I'm not really interested in any players at the club/
  7. I don't really see the point in celebrating the life of someone who wasn't even English (if he actually existed), but it's an excuse to get to the pub early, I s'pose.
  8. Nothing personal. I just didn't think you did a very good job, an opinion I know is reflected by a few other people and perhaps the club, considering their decision to bring a professional in. Either way, I doubt any webmaster in the near future will be able to meet the high standard we became accustomed to under Stu Vose's management of the site. Effort, dedication and ability that guy had in abundance. As well as the well written articles, swift interviews, frequent content and information updates; it's just the little things, like having a gallery for every match, using a fresh photo from that game for the thumbnails on the site of the match report and Latics World interviews, that made the site seem more active, more up to date. Rather than using rehashed images as thumbnails for every match report and Latics World interviews.
  9. Can't be any worse than that last webmaster. Spelling and grammar mistakes all over the articles and a lack of information on away tickets. Not really surprised they got rid, but I thought Latics would have checked that the guy they hired had a G.C.S.E in English first.
  10. Gregan. It's not even an opinion. It's just a plain fact that cannot be argued against.
  11. Welcome to 2004, Bob. I believe that ref did that for a one off charity game or something along those lines.
  12. No, no you evidently haven't..... But please, carry on with your retardation.
  13. Yeah, I can totally see Tranmere getting 8 points from Colchester away, Millwall at home and Stockport away.
  14. He'll be presenting the World Cup now. Don't mind Chiles, he's a cool cat.
  15. Ronnie Moore is not a football genius. But wouldn't have taken them down. At least we were somewhat vindicated in firing him given Shez' first season.
  16. Didn't Grimsby sack their manager after we thrashed them on celebration Sunday?
  17. He was given 2 years, we should honour that and see what he can do in his second year. I seem to recall Kenny Jackett having Millwall down the bottom end of the table in his first season and had them in the playoff final in his second and now challenging for auto in his third. Likewise this is Danny Wilson's second season at Swindon and he's also got them up challenging for the automatic spot, whilst last season they were quite far down the table (although I'm aware he only took over at Christmas last season).
  18. He has something to prove next season, he really can't afford another season like this one.
  19. The fight with Wlad was on last year. Haye signed that silly contract for him and Wlad to fight at Stamford Bridge in June. The fight was on, they promoted it: But Haye pulled out a month or so before because of an "injury". Although the real reason is speculated to be the fact that Setanta who were broadcasting the fight here in the UK were on the verge of going bust....that would have left Haye without a home TV audience and less revenue, for the biggest fight of his career. Can't really blame Haye for that, and then he chose to fight Valuev instead of Vitali and ending up winning a belt which puts him in a stronger bargaining position this time around.
  20. But they're awesome in that one dimension....they just break their opponents down round after round and control the fight fight amazingly with their jabs. And Haye's chin isn't all that great, he could get sparked out just as easily (if not more easily than Wlad). BUT, all the the Klits more recent opponents have been small plodgy guys who move forward and have no agility or speed, they're tailor made for the Klits and their jab. Haye isn't like those, he's mobile, he'll be able to get around their jab and get some shots on them.
