  1. Our odds for relegation would probably mean TTA still lose money backing us to go down!
  2. Although it should be mentioned that most Dunfermline fans are glad to see the back of him. He had a shocking second half to the season apparently. Still, I've seen enough of Greg with my own eyes to know he's a decent keeper, young and rough around the edges but could still go on to be a good keeper for us.
  3. More than happy to have Greg and Dean battling for first choice next season.
  4. Don't blame him for the Sky thing, they're a bunch of thieving knobs. They rip their customers off and it's good to see Gannon sticking to his principles, Sky wouldn't help him when he needed his digibox fixing, so he won't help them and their coverage by speaking to them. Nowt wrong with it.
  5. Hey guys, Sheridan gets no credit at all for finding Trotman, playing him for 22 games then selling him for £500,000. We had injuries. His hand was forced.
  6. Or Penney could have just done what Sheridan seemed to do profusely and bring someone in on loan. To say he played Stepehsn simply because he had no other alternative is unfair. Stephens was a reserve player who Penney gave a chance to rather than use the loan market, which as sure as they day is long Sheridan would have done. Bloody hell, it's amazing the lengths some "fans" will go to not to give an ounce of credit to manager just because they didn't like them.
  7. Penney gave Stephens' his breakthrough, when the manager who signed Stephens wouldn't. Penney has to be commended for that, not criticised
  8. If it's not Gannon then it doesn't really matter which of the inexperienced options we go for. I'd probably favour Crossley, but that said I'm still rooting for Jamie-boy to get the nod.
  9. Jermaine Beckford has signed for Everton: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2010...s-sign-beckford
  10. Colchester are set to name their manager at a press conference at 1pm today. Last season's assistant manager John Ward is getting it apparently. Their fans calling it the cheap option.
  11. Which, by all accounts I'm sure he will be if he chooses to sign the contract. Until then he is not obliged to make us any sort of a priority. He's entitled to weigh up his options, just like any other person in any walk of life would do when making a decision regarding their career and future. It's nothing personal that he hasn't jumped at the chance to sign a deal with us, he's looking out for himself and his family. Gannon doesn't have to show any sort of commitment to us, he owes us nothing. If he chooses, after deliberating with his family etc, that he will take up our offer and become our manager, that is when we should expect 100% commitment with this Stockport business put behind him. If the rumours are true that we have offered him a deal and a deadline then that sounds fair for both parties. We've given him time to consider the offer but also asserted the fact that we won't be strung along and that he will have to make a decision soon. That's if the rumours are true, which I hope they are.
  12. Can't see why so many people take Walcott over SWP. Walcott is something of a disappointment, very naive and lightweight, no conviction. Where as SWP always looks a threat and generally plays well for England every time he appears, even if he's a sub he usually has some influence on the game.
  13. Phil Parkinson too. Hardly gonna leave Charlton for Colchester.
  14. I didn't mind Danny Hall. Thought he was okay when he played, given the quality (or lack thereof) of our team. Always felt more comfortable with him at the back than Dean Holden.
  15. Crossley's got a holiday in the states booked according to the e-zine, so they're probably waiting for him to get back before announcing him.
  16. I still have a bleak hope that they'll appoint the only man who should get it. James Gannon.
  17. Miki Roque? Looked like a school child on the pitch. Living proof that Rafa's "wonder kids" would get slaughtered if he could enter a reserve team in the football league.
  18. Sorry, I thought the interviews on Monday on Tuesday were different applicants.
  19. Still, it's big decision and something that should be thought about carefully. They may even want to do second interviews. In the words of Take That.....have a little patience.
