  1. Yeah..............let's just give it to James Gammon.
  2. Source - http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/liverp...art-attack.html You all might remember him as that player we frantically tried to sign on loan on transfer deadline day January 2008. He agreed to join us then changed his mind. Terrible, at that age. 22 year olds shouldn't drop dead of heart attacks. RIP
  3. A big night for British boxing tonight. First on SkySports1 is Kevin Mitchell v Michael Katsidis. Mitchell is an undefeated boxer from Dagenham with a very textbook style. He's fighting for the WBO-Interim Lightweight title, which basically means if he wins he'll fight Juan Manuel Marquez or Marquez will vacate his title which will make Mitchell the actual champion. I'm gonna liken tonight to Ricky Hatton's first title win against Kostya Tszyu in 2005, which was basically Hatton's "coming out fight". Tonight's the same for Mitchell, he's been criminally overlooked by the British media, yet he's unbeaten in 31 fights. Remember that dude that sparked Khan out in 50 seconds? Mitchell beat him beautifully over 12 rounds and made it look easy. The guy he's fighting is a warrior as well, Katsidis, he had a 5 round war with Graham Earl a few years back which was like something out of Rocky. Katsidis will make this a war and Mitchell can take and throw a punch so I can see this being a toe to toe brawl. It has fight of the year written all over it. That's at 8pm on Sky Sports 1. On the undercard: Derek Chisora (loud mouth undefeated British heavyweight) v Danny Williams The Olympians, James Degale, Billy Joe Saunders and Frankie Gavin are also fighting which makes up a cracking card. Then tonight from Madison Square Garden: Amir Khan defends his WBA Light Welterweight Championship and Paulie Malignaggi Which is on ITV at 02:45am. Also on that undercard is Victor Ortiz v Nate Campbell. Wins for Ortiz and Khan could see them both set up for a clash at the end of the year. Ortiz who was thought of as one of the biggest prospects in American boxing suffered a set back last year when he was KO'd by Marcos Maidana, a massive power puncher who Khan ducked in order to fight Malignaggi. As you might remember Malignaggi fought Ricky Hatton in Nov 08 and lost when his corner pulled him out unfairly. He was no where in the fight but didn't need to be stopped with only one round to go. Malignaggi has improved since then, beating Juan Diaz twice but only being awarded one decision. He ain't a power puncher and probably won't KO Khan (but with Khan's chin you never know, Willie Limond hurt Khan and he wasn't a power puncher either!), but Paulie is a fast footed, durable, technician who isn't gonna be blasted away in the first round. Hatton's the only guy to stop Malignaggi. Miguel Cotto is the only fighter to put him down. Khan is in for a tough night. So, it's gonna be a boss night of boxing.
  4. I wonder where he'lll end up next. I think I'm gonna guess Tranmere.
  5. Steve McMahon's an accomplished manager at this level.
  6. Only played a couple of levels. It reminds me a lot like Braid....in fact it might have even been inspired by Braid. Obviously not as good as Braid.
  7. I doubt we could afford Sheehan and he really did well at Swindon so they'll likely want to keep him. We could do worse than signing Kandol, he can score goals.
  8. It's funny though that the ginger manc we might end up getting is not the one everyone would have thought.
  9. If he came here as a player/manager I'd be shocked. He was a world class holding midfielder in his day and even at this level now he'd do a job. He's the sort of player we missed last season and he'd allow the likes of Furman and Stephens to play their attacking game and get forward, as Butt wouldn't be charging forward at his age, he'd literally anchor in the midfield allowing the younger guys to do the attacking without the fear of leaving a gap in the centre of the park. That said I'm still not sold on his managerial credentials and I'm not sure we can afford to take the risk. Player - Yes. Player/Coach - Yes. Player/Assistant Manager - Yes. But not the manager.
  10. 'Cause the club messed up. He was on a two year deal but when he returned from Bury the website said he would be released when his contract expires at the end of the season. But he still has another year left.
  11. It will be pretty funny if Martin Gray gets the job and they announce it after the season ticket cut off date.
  12. http://www.nintendo8.com Basically a NES emulator which runs through your browser, you can play pretty much every NES game on there.
  13. I didn't realise they had a 3rd stand these days. I thought they still had the scaffolding.
  14. Blackpool would get hammered week in week out in the Prem. Worse than Derby did. They shouldn't be allowed in the Prem with their ground though.
  15. I wouldn't bet on it. Not many teams create a kit specifically as the "3rd kit", not at this level anyway. If we're not getting a new away kit then the fluo yellow will probably remain as our 3rd kit.
  16. No Ronaldinho or Adriano in the Brazil squad. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/ma...razil-world-cup "ANDER-SON-SON-SON HE IS BETTER THAN KLEBERSON!" Well,....actually, no he is not.
  17. It doesn't matter, people love conspiracy theories. There's many dim wits on here who'll refuse to believe it and insist that TTA are trying to screw us over and will definitely put us into administration. These are usually the same morons who believe in the 9/11 conspiracy and Titanic conspiracy etc. Anyone with half a brain and who can read can accept that the administration rumour was a unsubstantiated one and thanks should go out to TTA for quashing them.
  18. Only 10 players in the World Cup winning Italian squad in 2006 have kept their place. And that number could be less in the final 23. That's mad.
  19. Bent should definitely go, in two world cup seasons now he's scored the goals. He was overlooked for a 17 year old who hadn't even played Premiership football last time. Surely he can't be as unlucky to miss out again.
  20. You mean off to college 'cause he pissed around in school assured he was becoming a pro footballer.
  21. How can a shirt talk a lot of sense? It's an inanimate piece of clothing.....it has no opinions.
