With Gannon's odds rising I assumed that what people have posted about him going Stockport rather than here is true and that he was out of the running for it. There's been a lot of conflicting rumours with Gannon especially.

If Crossley gets the job I'll be pretty underwhelmed....with that said I have been underwhelmed since I came to the conclusion we weren't going to appoint any one with good experience, but a unknown quantity (Bunn, Butt, Gray, Crossley). So I'm basically bemused that our shortlist might have ended up with 4 inexperienced names, but I'm not annoyed that Crossley might have the job out of those four names. He seems like a pretty cultured chap, he's been around for years and knows the game so I think I'd rather have him than Bunn or Gray. That said I really thought this time round we ought to have looked at someone like Gannon and dived straight in for him rather than run a risk with an inexperienced candidate. If not Gannon then even someone like Paul Simpson wouldn't have been a terrible appointment. I guess our budget has played some part in who we are offering the job to. Which I have read is very much the case.

How many League One clubs can we compete with? We've got the 4th lowest attendance (on average) in L1 and we have no sell-able assets and our budget is being drastically reduced. We're gonna be signing left overs.

I did contribute, I contributed my blunt opinion. I ain't gonna waste my time trying to convert people to or from a religion. If people wanna be Christianity/Islam/Atheism then fine, I'm not going to tell them that they shouldn't believe in any of those things, just because I don't.

Tom Kennedy has gone, Dagnall is on the verge of going, Dawson looks like he'll be sold. They've released a ton of players. Even if he is loaned out, can you see him being loaned out below The Championship? At the least I can see a team like Scunthorpe or Doncaster loaning him although for some reason I can see Q.P.R. That said I don't see Neal back down at our current level until he's past prime at age 33 or sumfink. Even still, he'd have proved the muppets in our crowd wrong and have gone on to bigger and better things.

We finished 16th in League One.....so, who is "below average"? Eardley pisses on his critics and goes on to achieve better things, like the people who could see his ability knew he would.
