  1. Just be grateful that he's not shouting "faggot" on the bus.
  2. New dream management duo of Andy Liddell and Paul Warne...... Could it really be?

  4. I'd rather not muck about with former club legends. There's a local man out there with proven experience who has got promotion on his C.V with Stockport. He's got a proven track record with bringing in youngsters and selling them on. Ritchie and Bunn, yeah, it's nostalgic and it would remind people of the glory days and that's for the people that like that kind of thing. I understand where y'all coming from 'cause they're much loved by the club. I'm in a minority which would rather let the glory days be the glory days, I don't wanna cling on, it's depressing. I'd like an appointment which would focus this club's goals on League One success in the near future. Get Gannon in to sort out the product on the pitch, to get some more young players coming through and then we can get this re-development or stadium move up and running. Small steps, but Ritchie and Bunn is us looking backwards in truth. Brilliant players, club legends, but the right people to take this shambles of a club forward from this point? No. In the future, when we're stable on the pitch and off it. Sure, it could be given a try. Next season could be a real struggle unless we pick the right man. Gannon knows about fighting relegation, he knows about building a promotion winning side. He knows about getting the best from young players and with our 50p and a Mars Bar budget our next manager will have to rely on young players to make up our squad. So let's put nostalgia to one side for now and look towards securing our future. Given Gannon the job to build a team for a few seasons.
  5. Ritchie and Bunn. That appointment would epitomise this club and it's fans who can't let go of the past. We need someone to whip this club into shape, it's players, it's young players and the fans. We need a guy who can scout for young talent and bring them in. We need the guy we should have got last season. Uncle James, come on down.
  6. We can't waste this opportunity. Which is basically what we'll be doing by giving the job to Ritchie and Bunn. it may increase revenue on the short term but when things start going wrong attendances will drop again. Give Jim Gannon a 3 year contract. Let him build his own team, we know how he likes to blood young talent through. Look at all the players Stockport pretty much brought through and sold in the past couple of years: Liam Dickinson - 600k Anthony Pilkington - 600k Jim Mcnulty - 150k? Oli Johnson - Undisclosed Tommy Rowe - Undisclosed Michael Raynes - Undisclosed Carl Baker - Undisclosed Josh Thompson - Compo? Anthony Elding - 300k? James Tunnicliffe - Undisclosed Curtis Jones - Undisclosed Michael Ordish - Undisclosed As well as that he brought through some good players who went on frees 'cause of their contract situation and Stockport not having money to renew them: Gary Dicker, Michael Rose. Now compare that to who we have sold in the past couple of seasons: O'Grady - 95k? Davies - ?? Eardley - 250k? Trotman the year before at 500k. Now, if Gannon can get the best out of the likes of Eaves, Taylor, Smalley, Black and our other youth players that creates more revenues stream for us to stabilise ourselves further and spend more on the playing side with wages and perhaps transfer fees. And if Gannon is as strict as people say, great! Because he won't take crap and half-heartedness from the young players who think they've made it. He'll demand more from them and they'll respect him. Which gets them performing on the pitch, helping us do well in the league, more bums on seats and makes them more valuable to sell on. Gannon is the right appointment, and we shouldn't hang around. Get him in now!
  7. I'm sure Ronnie improved us season by season. Given another season he could have improved us even further. Tranmere had a pretty crap squad last season who just missed out on the playoffs by a goal. To say Ronnie didn't "work" is pretty incorrect. He saved us from relegation and straight away took us to playoff hopefuls. As well as that he signed Richie Wellens and Chris Porter, two of the best players we'll ever have playing for us in this division. Granted, Shez got Hughes, but he had exceptional circumastances surrounding him making it possible for us to sign a striker of his calibre. To add to that, Moore signed Liddell who was just as influencial as Wellens that season under Shez, add to the fact that Moore brought Eardley and Taylor through. Shez did well to bring in the likes of Gregan, Charlton and Pogs but the rest of that quality team was Ronnie's foundations which he wasn't given MOORE time to build on.
  8. They'd have to work round the clock just to dispel RoyleArmy's alone.
  9. Why the hell is this even still being discussed? A company director has come and dispelled these rumours himself. We're not going into administration.
  10. Which one has left then? Blitz, Corney or Gazal (does this guy even exist? I always thought he was a phantom created for shady financial doings.)
  11. Brill's a good keeper so is Flav. me, it's not like Pogs and Kelly never made mistakes.
  12. He signed a new one year deal a few months ago, so he's still here next season. But yeah if he keeps up his fitness and performance levels then there's no reason he couldn't win a new deal for the season after. He's 36 though. Based off this season he's got a couple more seasons in him yet at least.
  13. Jim Gannon's the guy we should have appointed last season. We won't hire him though.
  14. Micky Adams was apparently our second choice after Penney. Tilson wouldn't a terrible appointment, tbh.
  15. John Barnes, he's managed internationally, has managed Celtic in the SPL. A bit unlucky with Tranmere this season, but overall a top manager who can attract good players and as a former England international legend and Liverpool legend he probably has a lot of contacts in the transfer market. I reckon we could get him too.
  16. Sounds like Fleming isn't rated by Dunfermline fans: http://www.dafc.info/forum/read.php?f=1&am...10&t=949210 None of them want him back next season. This article says Dunfermline will be sending him back. http://www.dunfermlinepress.com/sport/roun...-to-new-season/ I can see him being loaned out to Dale or someone again next season.
  17. It has that sticker type sponsor logo too. £40 is far too much for a football shirt; especially the cheaply made crap we get. It'd at least expect the sponsor to be stitched in, for £40. 5 washes and that sticker stuff starts to deteriorate and rip off. Then I won't wear it. I'll pass.
  18. Highs: Drawing with Charlton and beating Tranmere Lows: The other 44 games.
