  1. I don't think we'll get him, 'cause he'll have better options and if our budget is as low as we expect then I'm sure he'd use up a fair wedge of it. But if we signed him on a 3 year deal I'd be chuffed, quality left back at this level.
  2. I expected this to be "another dead wrestler" thread.
  3. Well done, Paul. Colbeck was one of the worst players we've ever had and we paid money for him, shocking.
  4. Pav? He played for us for like 3 months last decade before getting crocked. Hardly one of our 11 best players between 2000-2009.
  5. I'm gonna exclude loans, as I never really feel that they are our player: GK: Pogliacomi RB: Eardley CB: Hall CB: Hill LB: Armstrong RM: Taylor CM: Wellens CM: Sheridan J. LM: Eyres ST: Hughes ST: Porter Subs: GK: Crossley DF: Gregan DF: Charlton MF: Murray MF: J. Johnson MF: Liddell ST: Wijnhard
  6. Yeah, it's hilarious, has me in stitches all day long.
  7. I can relate to Gazza crying in 1990. I can't relate to these overpaid bunch of pricks.
  8. I'm pretty sure the users who get the abuse bring it on themselves. There are users who break this rule: a dozen times a week yet go unpunished by the mod team, so it's no surprise that other users get frustrated by being fed horsecrap by certain posters, time and after time and end up telling these posters just what they think of them. As it appears, you're willing to enforce this part of the rule: Yet do no wish to take action against those infringing this rule which is infringed on a higher basis than the " not being insulting and abusive" rule.
  9. The only thing wrong about that article is the title. "Didn't he used to be rubbish?".....No, he still is rubbish.
  10. It all went down hill when Stu Vose left. He was a very committed guy and worked beyond the call of duty to keep the site up to date.
  11. I had tortillas for dinner yesterday. As a way of celebrating Mexico's world cup participation. To celebrate Nigeria tonight, there will be no dinner.
  12. I use to sign Tony Bedeau from Torquay and Paul Peschisolido who was a beast in the lower leagues on that game. I remember that the transfer list at the start of the game was usually made up of the same players each time. Kluivert, Sonny Anderson, Massima Crippa. Of course, I couldn't afford any of them with Oldham.
  13. Rafael Marquez's was a decent finish. Still not as good as his boxing counter part though. There's only one Rafael Marquez in Meh-He-Co.
  14. Vince Bartram was class on Premier Manager 98 on PS1. But there's like 0% chance of this being true given that RoyleArmy posted it.
  15. With your track record do you really think it's wise to bet? I'll take a bet, easiest money I'll ever win.
  16. Would you consider this a transfer of interest this summer?
  17. I'm sure after just two day in the job RoyleArmy is not privy to the information regarding Paul Dickov's transfer targets. I'd say there's about 0% credibility to this rumour.
  18. Heffernan has joined Sheff Wednesday: http://www.swfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10304~2067536,00.html I never thought we were in with a realistic shout of signing him.
  19. How nice of him to take time to personally email every single Oldham fan. Dedication.
  20. The SMS is pretty redundant for the purpose of getting news first. Recently the news has been submitted to the fishul, straight after the texts have been sent out. Someone will post on here "<insert player name> signs, SMS!" then you can go straight to the website to find the news out and the article will be there. There's not really a significant window where SMS subscribers get the news before confirmation appears on the fishul. With most people having smartphones with internet data plans it's cheaper and just as effective to use an RSS feed from the fishul straight to your phone.
  21. It's pretty shocking that we have to pay to see the unveiling of our new manager. : / That press conference should be free viewing, it's a big event for the club and the fans and should be viewable by all. It's the club's chance to sell the new manager to the fans, to encourage more people to buy season tickets and support the team next season. So what do they do? They go and alienate most of the fans from viewing the conference by offering it exclusively to LaticsPlayer subscribers? Not such a wise idea.
