  1. That rivalry will have to wait Pete. I’ve spotted a mistake (and I can’t even blame the kids!). @yarddog73 appears twice in my subtitles but is not in your group (he’s actually in Group O). It should have said @Monty Burns in your Group. Apologies!

  4. Finally, and apologies for the delay, here are the details of how this season’s Prediction League Cup will work. The competition will begin with a group stage. There will be 15 groups (twelve groups of 4 predictors and three groups of 3). Each predictor will play each of the other predictors in their group once with three points awarded for a win and one point for a draw. Group table position will be dictated by Pts, then prediction points difference (think goal difference), prediction points scored, then games won, then head to head record. The top two players from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, along with the two third-place predictors with the best group stage record from the groups of four. 32 predictors will go through to the second round, where predictors go head-to-head in a knockout format, which goes through to a final between two predictors, just as in a typical cup competition. In the knockout stage, in the event of a draw, there will be a replay fixture. If scores are level in the replay, the predictor closest to the attendance in the replay wins. In the unlikely event that doesn’t separate them, it’ll go to the attendance from the original tie. In the final there will be no replay. Closest attendance wins if scores are level. In the unlikely event this can’t separate the finalists the one with the highest semi final score (original tie, not replay) wins. The group stage draw is in the video above. With 57 predictors, it’s a long one I’m afraid! I’ll confirm the group line-up in a post below and then the cup fixtures. First cup game will be the home game against Morecombe. Please let me know if I’ve missed any crucial details. -- Cup Fixtures: Group Stage: Morecombe (h) Crawley (a) Yeovil (h) Crewe (h) Round 2: Stevenage (h) Replay - Cambridge (a) Round 3: Tranmere (h)Grimsby (h) Replay - Newport (a)Tranmere (h) Round 4: Colchester (a) Replay - Swindon (h) Semi Finals: Mansfield (h) Replay - Exeter (a) Final Northampton (h) --- Knockout stage draw: Round 2: Stevenage (h) (Replay - Cambridge (a)) -------- Match 1: Macca v oafcmetty Match 2: south east latic v Nohairdontcare Match 3: JoeP v mcfluff1985 Match 4: Kusunga_is_God v youngen Match 5: rudemedic v milnrow latics Match 6: Ex_pat v Handsy Match 7: mick26 v aidan_latics Match 8: Latics_Fanatic v lookersstandandy Match 9: Benja v nzlatic Match 10: HarryBosch v maddog Match 11: stevesidg v al_bro Match 12: JohnnyPimp vs disjointed Match 13: astottie v a259 Match 14: Monty Burns v Oafc1895 Match 15: Latics and England v Lawman Match 16: yarddog73 v DavidCollinge Round 3: Tranmere (h) (Replay - Newport (a)) -------- Match 17: Winner of Match 9 vs Winner of Match 13 Match 18: Winner of Match 3 vs Winner of Match 14 Match 19: Winner of Match 4 vs Winner of Match 10 Match 20: Winner of Match 15 vs Winner of Match 2 Match 21 Winner of Match 8 vs Winner of Match 1 Match 22: Winner of Match 11 vs Winner of Match 5 Match 23: Winner of Match 7 vs Winner of Match 12 Match 24: Winner of Match 16 vs Winner of Match 6 Quarter Finals: Colchester (a) (Replay - Swindon (h)) -------- Match 25: Winner of Match 23 vs Winner of Match 20 Match 26: Winner of Match 19 vs Winner of Match 17 Match 27: Winner of Match 21 vs Winner of Match 24 Match 28: Winner of Match 22 vs Winner of Match 18 Semi Finals: Mansfield (h) (Replay - Exeter (a)) -------- Match 29: Winner of Match 28 vs Winner of Match 27 Match 30: Winner of Match 25 vs Winner of Match 26 Final: Northampton (h) ------ Match 31: Winner of Match 29 vs Winner of Match 30
  5. I read a post on Facebook this morning where someone was saying they won’t set foot in Boundary Park until Scholes is gone because he’s ‘red scum’. Ridiculous. I also saw a tweet from a supposed United fan saying that they hope Scholes spectacularly fails.
  6. Excellent work @mrwalks12. First time I've seen the Ritchie one too - brilliant.
  7. I can’t see it either but we’d almost certainly have been in line for a slice of anything Brentford receive if it did happen.
  8. Reports that Liverpool are sizing up a bid for Tarky and that the above is Burnley’s price tag. No doubt a chunk would work it’s way back to Brentford through a sell on clause. But not Latics. Again.
  9. It says all of the proceeds will be donated, which is great.
  10. Are we talking about Lyden? He wasn't on a season loan and wasn't recalled; his loan expired. If I've missed the point and we're talking about Surridge, he's clearly not coming back, as per your point.
  11. This is right up there as one of the most ridiculous posts I've read on here in the last twelve years. He was an incredible player.
  12. I still can't over the Ollie Banks interview. Much as it was funny, I couldn't help cringing at the fact that the club's own media people were subjecting him to those questions. His dad must have been raging.
  13. He got booked for making a TV gesture to suggest Taylor ran it past VAR, didn't he?
  14. Thanks Tracy. Here we go - http://www.owtb.co.uk/topic/50731-jordan-lyden/?do=findComment&comment=1002379
  15. OWTB’ers, please help out @mrwalks12 by posting any good photos (or links to photos) of the other members of the Latics team from Sunday’s game. The one of the very pissed off Lyden would be a good start...
  16. Totally agree but I thought similar about JP Kalala's performance at Goodison.
