  1. If rubes is going to be one of the two first choice centre halves we do, without a doubt, need someone dominant and vocal as the other first choice. Haining has those qualities but i think we could get better.
  2. Everyone loves a grafter and a good attitude, by the darlo fans comments hes got a bit of quality in him as well. Add that to having a new nailed on spot kick taker and im feeling positive over purdie.
  3. i work two weekends out of three and am a single dad whose ex likes to play games when it comes to having time with my 18th month old son. i will be there whenever possible but a season ticket is not a possibility to me.
  4. orr signed a new deal a few months back. anything over half a million for eardley and i think wed be daft not to sell.
  5. murray used to tear us to shreds but agreed probably too old now.
  6. I know some people on here are saying o'grady needs a chance and a run of games but i would be happy to see him and whitaker go as well.
  7. youth players making the regular step up to the reserves is a good thing no?
  8. all the best rat boy. he might just sit tight and wait to see where shez ends up if he hasnt got anything currently in the pipeline.
  9. some players get over there injuries. he was making a good impression at colchester and had his best game against the champions so i would say that does sound promising .
  10. We should be looking at young premiership centre halves i.e jack hobbs on loan to leicester from liverpool for the whole of 08/09 was instrumental for them.Get them in for pre-seaon young, hungry and fit wont be on alot of money either and they will be hoping a chance to make an impression on their parent club or putting themselves in shop window. everyones a winner.
  11. I couldnt imagine it being given to any of the current squad.
  12. played last few games for colchester on loan apparently best player on the pitch against leicester away
  13. i'd say this would be unlikely but i seem to remember he spent chunks of last season warming the bench. Worth a punt without a doubt he clearly loved his time on loan here.
  14. i think penney has opted not to pursue jones and westlake
  15. glad that wolfendens is only short-term. i too have a feeling allott will walk which will leave us needing 2 new centre mids unless penney sees one of Lee, Stephens or Whitaker as first choice.
  16. they have both proved over the last 3 seasons that they cant stay fit to even provide cover for sustained periods.
  17. Wolfenden!!!!!!???? Stam!!!!!!?????? if these two stay on whilst gregan and maher have been moved on il be really struggling for enthusiasm for 09/10
