  1. What was the story with him leaving/turning the contract down last time? Was it just gossip or fact?
  2. Fane is not worth the hassle and isn’t worth keeping enough for scholes to lock horns with the owner on and create their working relationship. He has been totally frozen out. Not around the team at all and trains early in the morning then later afternoon/evening when the squad aren’t around and he doesn’t attend matches. He’s finished at Oldham.
  3. He’ll be offered a new deal on much reduced terms/pay as you play. Decent enough to have as a squad player and seems well respected in the dressing room and a decent fella. Scholes will want that kind of person around the place and then hopefully he gets fit and becomes a better player with scholseys guideance.
  4. Hmmmm...if scholes would have made 1 or even 2 of the changes you suggest the locals would have done their nut asking ‘why we’re defending a 1-0 lead at home to a poor team’. If I was being super critical i’d Have used a sub to kill 2mins as the clock ticked down And I would have brought Branger on to run at their tired back 4. Stevenage where never in the ascendancy. Their first goal game from someone simply not doing their job and clearing the danger. After that you could say they pressed more than they had all game as they became confident as any team does when they score.
  5. Nothing to do with subs today in my opinion, I don’t think scholes got much wrong. He set up what I think is propably our best and most positive attcking line up and that team dominated the game. It was all about players not engaging their brains to see a game out. Whether that be clearing a ball down the line rather than messing about trying to do several turns and pass your way out thinking you play for Man City or putting a chance away of which we created plenty in that 2nd half.
  6. Not everyone knows you can prob grab any seat when it comes to ticket numbers especially if there not regular. Sitting in the seat on your ticket is what people do at events around the world so why should it be different if your visiting boundary park. He may have been moved from a seat he plonked himself in by a season ticket holder previously so just thought ‘i’ll go where i’m told and then I don’t get moved on’ I would think the majority of season ticket holders sit in their allocated seat though. Season ticket holders pick a seat in most cases that i’m aware of as they’ve sat there for a number of years and chose that area/seat because all there mates sit there and they have been watching football together as a group for a long time. In some cases they’ve grown up together sitting in those seats seeing each other each game! Going to football is something people do with friends, fathers with sons etc etc so to purchase a particular season ticket seat allows you to be with those people every match! Just another thought...
  7. Apply for a 0% credit card and stick it on that. Bettter than the APR on the lending scheme the club use if my memory serves me right (it was a while ago when I looked into it). Then set your payments that you can afford within the time scale before your 0% offer runs.
  8. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/ex-manchester-city-player-ishmael-15883938 hmmm....
  9. Injury prone and on a decent wedge...poor attitude as well!
  10. Hi, is this all trust members? I have had the money come out of my account for a number of years but not received any correspondence.
  11. Just MP I believe. Other staff on the bench are all familiar. I think the chap assisting PW is still there so that may be an addition but more of an internal thing.
  12. Deserved goal from Jose...worked his arse off for the team 1st half!!
  13. Yeh decent shout! (Would have just liked/upvoted that rather than reply but unable to now ha ha)
  14. I reckon it won’t look to much different to saturdays line up tbh. He’s had 1 session with the players today so not gonna change lots especially after a 3-0 win. Main change I suspect will be the utd lad starting up top with Lang.
  15. No game last week would have hit cash flow hard...i’m Happy to pay!
  16. This thread isn’t talking about the result. We’re talking about the ‘so called’ new manager announcement the press said would be 6.30pm. Great result today yeh!
  17. Once he got the all clear he signed the contract. Everything has been in place it’s been waiting on the EFL green light. As soon as they got it, contract signed (Late thurs) hence why they should have done it Friday with a view to join taking over after Crawley. Then all the leaks that came out Friday wouldn’t have mattered. We we do like to do things the hard way that’s for sure....
  18. Agree on silence. Personally doing it on Friday would have made sense as the news was always going to be leaked once the EFL made the decision. We should have got ahead of the press and done a Friday press conference!
  19. Was never going to be tonight...made up by the press! Why would you do it after a full day of fixtures that journo’s have gotta report on when you can do an official press conference and unveiling at the club on Monday and get the worlds media down!
  20. How can anyone ‘not be bothered’ if their club gets promotion...let alone someone that is the director of the trust!
  21. Let’s be optimistic...bored of all the negative stuff around the club!
