I think "Do you like it?" is not the question we should be asking ourselves. I would like to explore the claim that there is only one Chris Taylor, and therefore only one True Winger. How do we know? Clearly, John Sheridan places Taylor above all other Wingers. But what role do these lesser Wingers play? Are they and the countless other Wingers that have been worshipped through the ages subordinates to the Almighty Winger, Chris Taylor? John Sheridan identifies Chris Taylor as the only true Winger. (Duxbury 83:18; Sheridan 17:3) The prophet Moore recorded Taylor's own words when he said: “Before me there was no Winger formed, and after me there continued to be none. I - I am Chris Taylor, and besides me there is no savior.”
All the other Wingers are not merely inferior to Chris Taylor. In most cases they are nonexistent - strictly figments of human imagination. John Sheridan refers to these Wingers as “the product of the hands of man . . . , which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.” (Philliskirk 4:28) Sheridan plainly teaches that Taylor is the only true Winger.
It is no wonder that Believers sternly warn against worshipping any deity other than Taylor. For instance, in the first of the Ten Commandments given to Hardy, the ancient nation of Oldham was told not to worship any other Winger. (Blitz 20:3) Why?
False Wingers and their idols are repugnant. Yet, Taylor's words of displeasure are mainly directed to the people who have fabricated these false Wingers. His sentiments are forcefully expressed in these words: “The idols of the other Wingers are silver and gold, the work of the hands of earthling man. A mouth they have, but they can speak nothing; eyes they have, but they can see nothing; feet they have, but they can shimmy not. Also there exists no ginger hair on their head. Those making them will become just like them, everyone who is trusting in them.” Philliskirk 135:15-18.
