What's scary is we're gonna have had no preseason at all. None!! Crazy! Utter craziness!! Can you name one team, X1 team that has ever gone into a season with literally no preseason and not been relegated??

I'm past caring now. We've no time to get anything resembling a decent side.....not even gonna have new season hope / optimism this time. Damn you Oldham Athletic!! Damn you!! ??????

What is the matter with some of you?!? FFS we're all Latics fans aren't we? Why are we slagging each other off?!? Stop it!! Aim the negativity at the way the club is run. We have no players/ no manager / no coaches / no money..... It was the owners who decided to bulldoze the old stand, it was them who have built the new one crippling us under the guise of it being the complete opposite. It was the owners who have decided to take % after % of income or assests from the club and into Brassbank... Not the fans...the fans have just had enough of being stripped and seeing money that should go to club go to Brassbank. It's us fans who have watched and listened to the likes of Barry offend and alienate the club from families (Ched etc). So if you want to argue with anyone, argue with the owners....sick of reading posts from someone trying to score points...just sad

We've nothing in the pot for manager / players coaches... Question: What would happen if we are unable to have a squad of players / coaches / manager for start of season?

The problem with some of us though is the belief (rightly or wrongly) that any finance the club gets does not go directly to the running of OAFC, but to Brassbank or whoever. So with that in mind what is the point of spending money on the club if you believe the money isn't going to go to it?? Honestly, I truly think we're doomed with the owners and the way they have set us up now. Only an utter prat would buy OAFC if they didn't support us.........there's no assets other than he name Oldham Athletic..........

He's basically going to leave if he gets approached. We can't moan coz that's what he did. I just hope the board have leaner their lesson with cheap inexperienced managers and go after a good tried and tested one should Shez leave. That's what concerns me the most. The way I've taken Shez's responses is if any decent club bigger than Oldham comes in for him he's off....

I still think Sheff Utd 0-2 Oldham HT Sheff Utd 7-2 FT almost 25 years ago takes some beating...! haha! :-(

I'm clinging on to perhaps history might repeat itself.....didn't we lose the first x3 games with Sheridan 1-0 and then went crazy good and went top of the league....? Yeah....that's what's gonna happen....!

What an absolute disgrace that would be if true. Buy a football club and if things don't work out on the pitch, (the whole point in buying us) then work out a plan to break even without the football going on! Resulting in things on the pitch going to pot! I hope to hell this isn't right, but does feel that way. Totally understand the business side of it, it's all logical but what an absolute disgrace! Buying a club is supposed to be about the football!! Not the land / stand etc!! Those that will say they understand and would do it themselves as it makes perfect business sense aren't Oldham Athletic fans!! We're supposed to want the football to succeed!!!!

Unless something drastic happens I fear you're right. We don't win when we're playing well and lose when we're out of form. Relegation form that.... More players to come in shortly me thinks too!

That's the main problem isn't it. Oldham Athletic football club has no real assests now. How much would it cost to buy us, land, stand etc?

Barrett played for England and had a stinker, Jobson got in a squad but never played. To my mind are he only players who have been anywhere near England full sqaud whilst a Latixs player....

My main concern is that the club had about x3 months and maintained the quality of applicants that had applied was very high. How can someone with no experience in management / little experience in coaching be the best out of our greatest list of applicants? Then add the thought that the club has saved Manager & assistant manager wages for what will be nearly x4 months (not starting until June) and you start to see the real picture. It's all about cutting costs. No way was DK the best man out of this so called list. He's just the cheapest. That for me, spells out the plan for next season. How on Earth Dean Holden is able to stay on at the club?? He wasn't up to the job, football was poor on the eye. We haven't won for ages!! So angry and disillusioned right now!! :-(
