He should smash his way through that league without even leaving first gear.
Only one way Salford are heading and if we don’t get out of this league this season, it will probably be Salford away 2019/2020. Strange times.
Decent appointment. Plenty of coaching experience and should have built up knowledge and contacts.
Might see more young lads getting a go too. Hopefully he sticks with Edmundson at the back.
It just got interesting, Stanley. You’ve endured 21 years in League One, at least stick with it for 1 year in League Two.
You never know, we might actually win games in this league...
You drinking from the same stream as Wellens, BP?
Not a chance a lad with around 5 senior appearances will be moving for that amount of money.
They can have Hunt back if they need a full back, though...
Byrne is the kind of player we should be building our team around and creating the space for him to use the ball. But instead, Wellens’ sends out a team that forces him to go deep to recieve the ball or he gets played left or right and gets dragged out. It doesn’t work...
I’d go with:
Placide
Hamer Edmundson Wilson
Hunt Gardner. Fane. Moimbe
Byrne
Davies Doyle
Defended him an awful lot over the course of the last six months, but he can go for me now.
The last few games have proved to me that he isn’t tactically astute enough to manage us. Whether he would be able to get it right at another club remains to be seen.
He has totally ran out of ideas.
