  1. Heard he was injured in tonights game against Spain U21s.
  2. Is it too late to resurrect the old badge for next season’s kits?
  3. What if we get the boiling water out earlier this time?
  4. He handed it to Paul Jewell in the dressing room after Wigan had beat Arsenal in the League Cup Semi-final to get to the final against Manchester United. Fantastic Timing!
  5. Ignore me. Just read that you can no longer recall a loan player outside of the transfer window. What a shite rule...
  6. Heard that we might be recalling Clarke from Bury, maybe Gerrard is facing a few weeks out.
  7. He comes in Nando’s regularly with another guy, could well be his brother to be fair. They were looking through an A3 Sheet with the structure of the club on the other day.
  8. Blew their chance last year. Best team I saw home and away by quite a distance.
  9. Last week I was very much in favour of keeping Wellens. My opinion remains largely the same but the last two games have shown some holes in his management, things which he needs to learn from quickly. He certainly talks a good game. Building an identity, playing good attacking football etc. (Yes, we’ve heard it all before.) He seems to have his plan in mind, but translating that onto the playing side is seeming a problem. To me, building an identity is a great idea, however, something that you should concentrate on in the summer, not mid relegation battle. Now, he needs to knuckle down, play some horrible football and get the basics right. Even if we have to win scruffy, points on the board is all that matters. His fancy attacking football can wait for pre-season. I think he’ll keep his job. From what I’ve seen, him and Abdallah seem to have a fairly decent relationship and this “brand” of football that he is trying to impose will sit well with the new owner, especially if his intentions are to sell-on the Foreign imports. Keep Wellens, but he needs to adapt to circumstances. Stop talking about missing Doyle, shut up shop at the back and stop playing Davies on his own up top.
  10. I have seen a few on Twitter/Facebook, to be fair. Only a minority, I’ll admit.
  11. Surely there becomes a point where chopping and changing your manager every six months won’t work, I believe this would be the season. No Sheridan to save us this year. and to those shouting for Grayson (not sure if on here or on twitter, seen a couple.) Not a chance.
  12. There were a few who turned on Sheridan, particularly after Rotherham, but I’d say he had nearly all the fans behind him. We need to stick with him. We stuck with Johnson through some bad spells and came out the other side looking like a decent team, up the play-offs when we left us for Barnsley. We should do the same with Wellens.
  13. Can’t believe the amount of fickle fans we have. Yes, it’s a very bad run, yes it’s a little concerning to EVERYONE involved, including the manager, but, calling for his is downright ridiculous. I understood it under David Dunn and Steve Robinson. The football was, in a word, shite. There were little signs of promise and I don’t think even the managers believed they could do it. Whilst Wellens persona has changed slightly to questioning himself and his players, he is adament in wanting to form a team that follows his “philosophy” (Hate the cliche, but probably necessary here.) We’re playing good football and it’s clear that players want to come and play for him. (Byrne and Bryan signing are a key sign of this.) We HAVE to give him the time to get this into place. I am a firm believer that we will survive this season, quite comfortably too. With a striker incoming, hopefully sooner rather than later, we should be capitalising more in these games, especially if it is someone in the Doyle ilk, who will drag defenders around and open up space for the midfield to operate. I’ve probably rambled on a little bit, but I geninely feel passionate on this subject at the moment. It’s the first season in years (Shez’s masterclasses apart) where I have looked forward to the next game coming round, home or away. In Wellens I trust, and I believe you all should too.
  14. I also heard this over the summer from a credible source. Was the stumbling block for us when attempting to get Ripley back.
  15. Couldn’t anticipate a ball coming towards him, huge flaw.
