  1. fair comment, i suppose i'm just over worried being a yonner don't want any "your a manc now" jokes thrown at me
  2. i hope not , i just hope this new stadium has the desired effect on the club and who knows maybe the novelty of it being brand new will pull in an extra few heads each week. Have you seen the other posts of the new stadium that we are suppose to be moddeling ours on not bad put they not stunning either
  3. very well the postcode is ol for spotland but you didn't read the rest of my post, I said i was happy about the new ground, i said i was un happy if talk of name changing was giong on. So please read the post in full before you insult me sir
  4. I'm with you all the way Prozac, I for one am glad the the club is getting a ground that makes the club viable to run but was never happy with the location from minute one, its in Manchester not Oldham however you look at it,Failsworth might come under OMBC but the postcode for the ground would be M35 making its location Manchester in my eyes. I fear this could be the first step in our club losing its image the way we all know it now and fear what comes next. The ground move is a start and then if name changing is true well, MK Franchise??? I love the club like us all and wouldn't want it to go bust so even though i don't like the location of the ground i'm all for it if it keeps us afloat, but changing our name is one giant leap to far and should not even be talked about at the lowest of highest level of the boardroom.None of us know if it is true or not but i'm just starting to fear were this all ends. If they TTa want to stay a long time then fair enough but i would be worried if they make all these changes then leave not long after and we are the ones left with any choice they have made when they all go back to making there dollars in America. I meet all this news of change with a hint of saddness it seems being little old Oldham at Boundary park is just not good enough anymore.
  5. I agree and how bad will this look Oldham Athletic Broadway Failsworth Manchester M35 etc..... Still think moving to far away from Oldham is crazy
  6. I agree with you on this, Lee Hughes is prob better off somewere other than Oldham but his decline was a steady one and I think we got some value for money out of him while he was here
  7. so can you give us a lowdown on the main pints of the interview for the non LW subcirbers
  8. i can see how groundsharing would make finacial sense, i'd be more worried about moving out of Oldham, are we not i danger of becoming MK Franchise if we do that.
  9. Don't know if this has been posted already but makes an interesting read from Mr.Corney, think this subject had been chatted about on here recently http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...hange_at_oldham
  10. I don't post often as you can see, but had to let you know how much this made me laugh great work
  11. from one andyb to another happy birthday pal
  12. Cool Mr.T's an Oldham fan "Crazy Fool"
  13. I was part of the give sheriden until the end of the season club, but since i read big fat joe is back this just feels right like most can't wait for saturday and also to see if the team sheet gets ripped up. Great appointment fingers crossed for the rest of the season
  14. Who voted for Maher?, C'mon now own up!
  15. As reported on the oafc website, oldham chron etc.. shez missed out on a player he would have liked to sign on loan but they hit a "stumbling block", any idea's who this might have been and what the stumbling block was, just getting my hopes up that by this time next week we might have Neil Kilkenny back and pulling the strings for us again in midfield
  16. have you all forgot that there is still 18 teams under us in this division, if you all want shez sacked, then how the hell do you think the other 18 teams fans feel there wouldn't be a single manager left in the game if we all pulled the trigger so fast, yeah we not going well at the mo but god your all so down beat
  17. like you i do get sick of the never again talk, but if we sack shez were do we go from there any realistic suggestions then??????? coz i don't think jose gonna leave inter for us
  18. i agree totally, i just want to see passion from my team but it just seems like some footy fans will never ever be happy no matter what
  19. lol, is he still alive that post made me giggle
  20. i've been goin to the tics now for 15 yrs and this club has always suffered a complete lack of motivation and ambition, this forum just goes to comfirm that most of it comes from the stands. Footy fans want brazil type winning football week on week and it never going to happen in oldham, Keep the faith , Love your club win or lose, playing well or bad its like a marrige granted sometimes a bad one GET USED TO IT
  21. This whole post sounds like simple fan frustration to me, lets look at the facts (Thanks Mr.Benitez ) Hughes is a great player at this level. Hughes is a striker of great experience and his scoring record speaks for itself at any club he has ever played at, but he was out of the game for five years and that no doubt will change a player, but if you were to take him out of our side the front line would lose some serious bite and a hell of alot of workrate. It would be interesting to see how many winnning goals he has scored for us or how many goals he scored that pegged us back for a draw add all those points up take it away from the teams overall tally and see were that would put us in the table. I find it strange that anybody would say that we should show Hughes the door line up all the strikers stats that we have at this club and i said stats not personal preference to who you like and don't like and compare them. No other striker at our club in a goals per game ratio while at Oldham or any other club are anywere near his. I feel i have gone on with myself long enough make of this post what you will but like rafa i thinks the facts do the talking lol
  22. good old milwall , nothing much changes there , at least they left our seats alone up ere
  23. seems like that silly :censored: is part of the game today, but the odds are always against it not happening, out of 2100 county fans it would only take 1 or 10 to do somthing like that, i always think that if you put 5000 people in a room there's bound to be a knob head in there somewere
