  1. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1460092,00.html Shez is at a disciplinary hearing today in Manchester following being sent to stands in the Tranmere game earlier in the season. Possible fine or touchline ban
  2. The club need to make money, simple as If we only gave them the small section and they sold that out completly and they asked for more we wouldnt be able to give them more as we couldnt sell in any other parts due to segregation issues. Everyone who took a ticket in the RRE were told from the offset that they would be moved for big games. At the end of the day the owners need to make the most of the big games by selling as many away tickets as they can and thus have a game where they dont loose money.
  3. Details are emerging of the old Rev DJ's looking to start their own station after Steve Penk bought The Revolution. Myspace - http://www.myspace.com/radiorepublicmanchester Facebook - http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=...4296&ref=nf I would recommend that people sign up and show their support for the new station. Hopefully it might carry some Latics news as Broady used to do a bit for the Rev.
  4. Definately more than 1524 Latics fans there today. Would say 2000 to 2200
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/7599647.stm Newcastle's Joey Barton has been banned for six games by the Football Association, with another six suspended, for assaulting Ousmane Dabo. Barton, 26, had previously admitted the charge of violent conduct and was fined £25,000 at the personal hearing. He will be banned for another six games if he is found guilty in the future. In July Barton received a four-month suspended prison sentence for the assault in May 2007, when the pair were team-mates at Manchester City. The discplinary panel revealed its findings at a the three-hour hearing at the Football Association's headquarters in Soho Square, London. Former Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan, who quit on Thursday, faxed his support but did not appear in person as a character witness for Barton. Barton will miss the next six Newcastle games against Hull, West Ham, Tottenham, Blackburn, Everton and Manchester City. Since the training ground assault on Dabo, who now plays for Lazio, Barton has been jailed for a drunken attack on revellers in Liverpool city centre. Barton was released from prison in July after serving 74 days of his sentence for attacking a teenager. A statement from the independent regulatory commission Chairman Maurice Armstrong said: "Much has been written about Mr Barton over recent months. "The regulatory commission had the benefit of taking all appropriate information into consideration. "The commission members considered principally the serious attack by Mr Barton that clearly cannot be accepted. "The members also had to take into consideration the sanctions imposed by the courts and the pro-active support Mr Barton has received from Newcastle United and other professional bodies. "The commission members wanted to punish the offence appropriately but give Mr Barton an opportunity to ensure his professional conduct does not falter again and ensure he is fully aware of the consequences should he make another serious error of judgment." The training ground attack left French midfielder Dabo, who now plays for Italian club Lazio, with several cuts and bruises as well as a suspected detached retina. He said it was so bad it left him "looking like the elephant man".
  6. Club have announced today that the Main Stand and small section of the RRE will be open for Home fans Large section will be given to the Morecambe fans http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1371683,00.html
  7. The lotto can accept payment via standing order or if you live near a collector they can collect your cash.
  8. As mentioned previously in this thread we have a new sponsor "Carbrini @ JD" who also become the Kit manufacturers also. We may therefore start to see a little bit more imagination in the designs than we got with Carlotti. Very good designs though. I suspect we might see 2 new kits for the start of the 09/10 season as I suspect they will keep the design and colours of the existing kits for this season.
  9. Rest in Peace Ernie. You will be sadly missed by all at OAFC. Ernie for England
  10. Tried to get tickets but had issues with the Ticketmaster site so not this year.
  11. Beardy get yourself onto www.lccc.co.uk for the club shop. Cricket tops dont seem to appear as much in the mainstream sports shops as much, however this could change now England has Adidas as its maker.
  12. I think maybe your right about the Police not wanting a Saturday match. Pity as the club would probably get more people in if we played them on a saturday.
  13. I see from the Fixtures that we will be playing Leeds again at home midweek. This is the 2nd year now where we play them on a Tuesday night.
  14. Does anyone know what the surcharge is for buying Season Ticket online via C.Card thru the OAFC E-Ticketing system Just in the past Ticketmaster have been very good at charging an absolute fortune for processing c.card payments for gigs etc I have booked through them.
  15. http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1189009,00.html Has anyone noticed the Rocky Rd End looks like it has a back section being built on it with seperate roof. The Chaddy looks roofless on the pictures
  16. http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1100484,00.html Welcome to BP Lee from all the Latics
  17. I apologise in advance if this has been mentioned before but it appears Oldham Council have added the details of responses received from neighbours to the club regarding the proposed development of BP. Have to say doesnt look like the local people around BP want any development at all. Hopefully the council will take into consideration the views of the fans etc. North Stand (NSM) (to become the new Main Stand) http://planning.oldham.gov.uk/planning/aco...Systemkey=37142 Total Number of Neighbours Consulted: 410 Summary of Responses: Responses Received: 230 In Favour: 3 Against: 227 Petitions: 0 South & West Stands (Chaddy and Main Stand), Hotel & Housing http://planning.oldham.gov.uk/planning/aco...Systemkey=37143 Total Number of Neighbours Consulted: 464 Summary of Responses: Responses Received: 347 In Favour: 11 Against: 336 Petitions: 0
  18. Regardless of what happens with Porter I personally think that TTA will not let his agent come anywhere near BP again. Get feeling Simon C has had enough of him and cant see us going for any players represented by him again.
  19. One potential problem I can see with Ticketmaster selling the tickets is say you and another family member have a season ticket each and want to buy 8 tickets so you and friends all sit together. If Ticketmaster make you enter your code when you first log in the site it may then restrict you to your x4 tickets in that transaction. you then have to do another transaction using the second code and there is no guarantee you will get seats next to the first lot you bought. Hope this makes sense
  20. Hi Tramdriver as I understand it Season ticket holders can buy up to 4 tickets for Wembley Ben
  21. I think the problem the club have is that they had complaints about the large queues that developed especially for the Home leg. They have had to look at selling the wembley tickets quickly and Ticketmaster have the setup already in place ok at a price. Hopefully the club could think about looking at getting something setup in the future for themselves. Im sure there are enough IT perople floating around who could help setup the system for them.
