I have always considered myself friendly and approachable....well I hope I do to those on here and those that I met.

Like I posted previously I was even on his FB site and chatting until Thursday and I just got it today. 

I would have even chatted to him but not when he is in that state of woundupness.

I have personally done nothing to him. So I don't understand why he came at me that way.

Oh well maybe one day he will chat to me like a rational human being and all.

I was meeting fans who had joined the Trust  outside Laticzone to give them their cards.

I was talking to a fan about his card when Birkett came right up to my face pointing and Shouting that "the trust are all liars and he will expose us..."

I asked him to step away from me as I am feeling threatened and he continued until two police office heard me saying again I am feeling threatened and they came between us and moved him on. Even the police asked me what it was all about and i explained he is not happy with the Trust and left it at that. 

It did actually shake me up a bit, I mean I am no little wall flower  and have seperated many a fight at the college,  grew up with 80/s football violence and all. But you don;t expect one of your own not to understand how intimidating that can be and that it is not acceptable behaviour.

Apparently he is on Face ache about it all.

I am still a little shaken.....the hubby wants to do his own shaking.

You have to give someone the opportunities to sort things out. Or enough rope as they say.

Corney and Al are very different characters. You can see this via the media work both did.

The only things in life that are guarnteed are death and taxes. So no I can't at this stage. However there are better opportiunties and cheaper options than doing what you described. Brassbank want to sell so they could sell to anyone. However they are looking at working with this fan led group. So imo, to leave bp in the hands of fans

Sd worked with a club that went into admin. Slightly diff scenario to us but with that club:

Council still want a club in the borough. Council worked with administrators to buy the freehold of the ground then the buildings and club itself.

Dont think the council could do all 3 in our case but they could be willing

It was the Trust Rep who told him exactly what Corney owned and what was for sale before he signed on the dotted line. That it was club only in name.

We did clarify that in one of own statement with a Q and A about it and it was posted in the Trust pinned thread above, however that site it is linked too no longer is available as we have a new one. Trust reps at the time and myself since have posted that he owned club in name only. 

He past fit and proper on two fronts. To own a business in the UK and EFL and alledgefly, a six figure goodwill deposit with the EFL as well. 

We even tried our own research, Like Al;s agency business, link with nantes (I think) stock market research the best we could, looked at trying to get some info from Morocco and Dubai. The money trail

That maybe so, however most on that site were not happy that the meeting had happened without them all being notified, all being given a chance to go and where represented by those that did go.

However with the Trust its our "entitlement". The Trust are allowed representation on the board of OAFC 2004. Equal parity voting and responsibilities for that business. They should be shown evidence the business is running in accordance with all legalities, a business plan, the financials all that is required. Good governance, sustainability ect.

We are 14 months into the Owners tenure and no board meetings have been held and our recent requests to discuss/review the last 12 months, help plan for the future have not happened. 

The owner may not want to put all answers to the questions in the public domain but he should minimum be showing evidence/respect to the Trust representative as a partner/shared responsibility and for you the fans, to have peace of mind that that person is getting that entitlement.

If it was any other business both landlord and tennant could decide to serve notice to each other and move on and no-one would mind

However its football, its fans, its passion, its a club with over a 100 year history. Can you imagine the uproar if either did and the fallout of extreme fans following them to the ends of the earth to vent.

Yes. He confirmed he was contacted and was asked o selected and invite in with him some fans...which he did.

When he posted the meeting had happened and Chris posted the summary on there. It went down quicker than the Titanic did.

it is a facebook site he manages. So he does as he wants. However I have a few friends I know that post in there so they  aware  that I am now missing. 

Its kind of a relief TBH, one less site to update on a daily basis, he  will have his own agenda with regards to the fan Friday follow up so maybe removing me means I don't see the next step and there's me thinking we were all fans in it together. 

I much prefer OWTB posters, you have all have a level of insanity I can relate to on a daily basis.

he messaged me this week to explain how the fans meeting came about and then how he could not attend fan meeting at the OEC because of  threats.

I did not ask if the  threats were because of the Friday night meeting or because of his manner in general.

He runs a face book site and post under both names Kevin Birkett and Kevin Chuckle.

I always update that site with regards to Trust Oldham news as there are over 1000 fans on there, so its good to update them and probably a reason why they were contacted for last Friday's meeting, high numbers.

Today I updated that site with the Trust letter for those fans who came to the meet but may not come on OWTB or use Trust Oldham site and I was removed from the group within a matter of minutes with no explanation.

It is a closed group so who knows.
