  1. I refer the honourable gentleman to..... OASIS rules; 1. ALWAYS drink green lager on public transport to the game 1b. Attempt to sneak hard liquor disguised as carbonated sugar based drink into ground 2. Never watch kick-off 3. Never watch half-time whistle 4. Never watch the second half kick-off 5. ALWAYS stay till the full time whistle - apart from at MK Mongs.
  2. Affirmative. Iron Duke. Vicky station. Plan to get on the 12:37.
  3. Gordon Smith didn't feature in 1989-90..... he'd gone years before surely.....?!?!?
  4. When I were a lad, you could only name 2 subs, the second of which had only recently been allowed.... all this, we're low on numbers we could only name 6 subs, I find mildly amusing. I also think it great that Devante was on the bench, great experience for the lad.
  5. Will, as we're exposed to the elements, one would suggest this a perfect game to ensure we have 'special' fizzy carbonated drinks with us....?
  6. Match tickets now on Sale @ £21. Last season a few of us met in a pub called the Livingstone Arms, 239 Gillingham Road, ME7 4RB, however if the general view is still to meet somewhere else en route, happy to do that.....? Super Off-Peak return as Andy outlined above is a little over £15, however to/from Victoria only it would appear. Optional times; To/from Victoria, journey is 51 mins; OUT - ARR 11:37 - 12:28 12:07 - 12:58 12:37 - 13:28 13:07 - 13:58 RTN - ARR - 53 mins. 17:58 - 18:51 18:28 - 19:21
  7. ....can we put this behind us and just move on united in support of our team please...?
  8. I hope and doubt our fab young manager said.... "They are on a really good run and a really good run....." http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/johnson-calling-on-supporters-to-back-team-2192411.aspx
  9. My direct debit will remain in place. I love my football club. No-one will change that.
  10. Afternoon learned gentlemen. Amongst the daily drawl of working life, a wonderful heart fluttering moment of excitement I experience on a tube/train/bus/rate race walk [delete as appropriate] as I traverse our capital city, is the thought of travelling to some corner of England [or maybe Wales] to watch my football team one coming Saturday or midweek evening. I do so, in the company of people whom I rarely see, but very much like, often respect and enjoy conversation and debate with. Whereby I can laugh, shout, sing, cheer and be merry without a care in the world. Where I am unjudged and equal. The loose addendum attached to us being O.A.S.I.S, for our one shared love Oldham Athletic Football Club. I am determined not to allow recent events to ruin that for me. I do however appreciate for varying reasons people may wish to make differing choices. I am equally determined to respect that. I will however be going to Gillingham on Saturday 24th January and I would love nothing more than to see your friendly heart warming faces there. All the best, Andy
  11. Whatever is about to happen, I do, always have [since 6th Dec 1986] and will always, forevermore, love my football club. No-one [individual or otherwise] will make me feel any different.
  12. This is pathetic.... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9634036/league-one-and-two-clubs-say-no-to-signing-ched-evans ....and I note that the story is no longer deemed important enough to be on the landing page of Sky Sports, BBC Sport, football365 or many other online syndicated football or sport related news destinations. As soon as this is over, they'll all be off to the next location deemed suitable to set up a circus without any genuine care for the topic, persons, businesses or organisations they are reporting on.
  13. In the grand scheme of things, this may seem trivial, however I'm getting a little irritable at some of the journalism. Dependent on the source, Verlin Rainwater solutions are either our 'main sponsor' or 'main stand sponsor' as that suits the journs more than just sponsor of the Away End. 'Sponsors' are pulling out as soon as Mecca Bingo tweet.... again sounding better for the journos.... when in fact they are no such thing. Mr Verlin was on national TV last night giving an interview and his company and Mecca Bingo received national coverage as a result of their actions. Dan Roan of the BBC referred to LJ as 'Carl Johnson' on twitter yesterday. Today, Sky Sports have released the results of a survey on League One and Two clubs after asking them if they would sign Mr Evans. League One Talks Ongoing = 1 Yes = 0 No = 9 No Comment = 8 Yet to Respond = 6 League Two Talks Ongoing = 0 Yes = 0 No = 5 No Comment = 14 Yet to Respond = 5 On numerous levels this survey means absolutely nothing. Whatever your opinion on whether we should sign Mr Evans or not, one things is true.... The media frenzy on Furtherwood Road care not one jot about anyone involved in the case or the rights or wrongs of Mr Evans' future employment.
  14. Chris Taylor scores on a rare start for b@stard Rovers......!
