  1. Personally, facitilities wise RRE is better, weather wise your open to the wind and rain in winter but get the sun at the start and end of the season. The argument about having to "sit near a bunch of 15 yr olds giving the away fans the big un" is redundant cause if its the home end...no away fans would be there. And at the moement like the thread is debating...just move away from them? The stand is big enough. Acoustically RRE wins too...think it played a factor in our defence on tuesday cause in the chaddy I could hear the small amount of away fans making a noise and getting behind their boys and it could have put our defence on more eggshells than they were.
  2. You only went cause it was a fiver Seriously though, well done the people who sorted it. Shows they know match day experience counts to bringing/keeping people down to BP. P.S. I can see a que at the glass doors at the next home gate now! haha
  3. I'd love to do this too so if people are organising going and need someone PM pleeeaase!
  4. Who needs guests when they have Beardy on the Blisset stand?!
  5. I thought it was made more funny as he took the few looks between the bench and the ref, an when the time was right took the kick an walked off like he hadn't done it! Hahahaaaa
  6. I'm using Firefox. Could that be the reason?
  7. Not sure if anyone else has experienced or experiencing this OR knows how to correct it, but everytime I go on the official site, all I get is 4 boxes one for betting one for squad, one for Dickov's stuff and something else but nothing for news. Also when I click on a link from OWTB to an article on the official all I get is the top bit with 'Oldham Athletic' and the Emirates banner thingy-mi-bob then a full screen of blue. Is it a plug in my computer might be missing or something else? It only started happening a couple of days ago. Any help would be muchly appreciated
  8. I've read Man City are paying 75% of his £90k p/w wages (67.5 k p/w) Meaning Cardiff are paying 22.5k. Two months without Bellamy could pay the £200k they're owed. I'd feel miffed, but as it's M-Well...especially after the £750k for Porter. Two clubs playing the game by the rules in my eyes. You win some, you lose some.
  9. If Dickov didn't think he'd feature in his style of play and was as someone said 'plan B', what if Abbott didn't want to play second fiddle and when the interest came he asked to listen to the offer, and thus Abbott's commitment to the club wasn't 100% and not up for a fight to play and ultimately gave Dickov the ammunition with which to send him on his way. Not sure if we'll miss him cos if Dickovs going for the attacking from the front philosophy, then it's clear to every fan who saw him he wouldn't maintain it for a full 90 minutes week in week out. Will definately be going with the trusty bet of him scoring past us at BP (if he's fit and playing of course!) EDIT Just found this from CAFC "As soon as I found out Charlton were interested, I wanted to get it done and go there,” So definately a case of not wanting to be here.
  10. Plus 1... Think that'll please Corney now the 'money men' have left.
  11. I've never been a fan of round neck lines, looks too big even on Reuben. I'll stick with the dark blue an tangerine from last season.
  12. I know it's not a legit reason but my understanding is the chairman of TB is a red...but as they say, busniess is business!
  13. Problem with a minority of posters is they make a remark that had no relevance to the original post. Where in my post did I say believe I wasas good as if not better than a professional footballer? It was a valid opinion on the topic, and one that rings true. If you're going to quote my post, at least have a valid opinion on what was said rather than a sly dig just to up your post count.
  14. Sunderland have a complete ban on ALL musical instruments. Technically...does that mean singing is banned?
  15. +1. Think Eaves signing a 5 year deal shows the clubs intent to work with him for a long time when all we offer are 2 year deals. One of the few good things DP did for us (although I reckon it was more the board than DP who initiated the signing etc) Definately one for the future. Didn't Newcastle put an offer in for him after he featured in our reserves against them last year?
  16. You'd think after two season playing on the left he'd have at least learnt to pass/cross confidently with his left foot. I played as right winger at school, an then got asked to play on the left and remember my coach shouted at me for cutting back and crossing with my right foot as he only wanted me to cross with my left :-O So what did I do? Worked on crossing with my left almost every evening at home an then had an average cross with my left while still being better with my right. What does CT do at training? Surely if he's on the left in training he'd be encouraged to use his left and work on it? Or he'd take initiative and use his left KNOWING he'll more than likely be played on the left. I think it's a case of not willing to learn more and progress. If he spent an hour a day just practicing with his left foot, he'd be deadly on either wing. Problem with many young players being hyped up too soon in the modern game...they think they've made it and don't have/want to put the hard graft in to become better. Think it's gonna happen no matter what.
  17. I tuned in to watch it and was absolutely disappointed. A sunday night...Leeds an Stoke were NEVER gonna bring people to the MEN. Don't think they'll have any other choice but to invite us back simply for the ticket money we'd give 'cause the last 2 we were in we took over the whole of the M.E.N. Think it looked embarassing having such an empty arena. Plus we'd have Dicky, Taggart an Greegs available for choice too :-D
  18. YES! Although bigfin is right...you get charged to have the cash machine on your premises, if its not used enough-you get charged the difference and I can honestly see this being a no win situation if its only available once a fortnight. How about having one inside/next to the club shop? Or for every card purchase in the shop a £1 charge is issued, I know argos do something similiar to ticking a box to add 25p to give to charity or something.
