  1. think the forwards not putting the ball in the net have cost us more.
  2. I've always thought Le Fondre would do a job for us...a lot better then feeney has done and prob on less money.
  3. Something else for this Evolution...maybe be the first club to do it an launch a media camapign at us doing it...get some column inches and a GOOD story about us Reason for edit - typo
  4. People went dressed as our keeper?! I saw kev's ginger bread costume at work...gutted I was stuck working an couldnt go :-(
  5. I like the badge and the new kit. I know there are people saying that the stadium situation is more important etc. Think of it simply. As a business man (in this scenario Corney) would you choose to start an 'evolution' and saying its a fresh start/new dawn if you knew you're business/company (OAFC) had nothing in the pipeline and was on its way down the crapper? Answer is - no. The evolution thing came in few weeks/months after the joke of the charity land swap from the council and that the club had meetings with the council. To me it all looks like Corney has FINALLY got the council where he wants them and that land has been agreed on, contractors being contacted etc and once the elections are out of the way...the evolution will continue to better things. The kit is the first step of it. It's annoying how so many people dont understand the word EVOLUTION...its not one thing, its a series of things, such as the change from apes to humans. An ape suddenly didn't give birth to a human...it gradually happened over time.
  6. I haven't, I just thought every post HAD to have something completely unfounded to keep peoples hopes/dreams built up But if there there are developments in regards to the stadium, they won't be revealed until after the elections. Think whoever is in control, the council HAVE to help us out after their shambles of a presentation to the Charity commission last time around
  7. It was done free and whose time was 'wasted'? Yours by waiting round an letting your expectations run wild, shame you probably expected Bill Gates to buy us, build out stadium and buy the barcelona squad. TBH if you look at other teams, a simpler looking crest is becoming the norm, think Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, scum. If something is easy on the eye that you recognise straight away you'll most likely remember it instead of having something intricate and overly detailed. I like the crest and the new kit, and hope that it's a start of things to get better. New stadium announcement on 6th may, possible new backers etc. A whole change from the false dawns era we've been involved with that's included numerous stadium promises leading to let downs, broken challenges in the league when it was looking a possibiilty we could get promoted/in the play offs. It's just a shame that the 'evolutuon' can't be spread out and help some fans of Oldham to evolve into open minded people with perspectives on what's important for/to a club.
  8. Yup, with Nike...who incidently own Umbro...so as much as Udders play the 'English company' it really isn't
  9. Please say you're a guest and that you've not got Chaddy ordained?! However as a money making idea for the club...weddings conducted in the BP centre circle by Chaddy...too much?
  10. Could try Coliseum's wardrobe dept? Could tie in companies for future joint ventures or something. Plus some of the costumes they've made (especially for the pantomime) were amazing!
  11. Maybe there are no buyers coming forward cause of all the 'doom an gloom' and bad financial factors. Wait til we go in administration and THEN buy cos there'll be less creditors who are owed money. Here's one for the ridiculous rumourville gossipers: The council saying they'll help with a new ground cause of their balls up of the charity land swap...no financial help...they still have Vance Millers compo to sort out...he's lining up to buy the club and build us a stadium... But seriously, I think TTA have had an amazing run of bad luck timing. If the credit crunch hadn't occured when it did...we would probably be in the brand spanking new stadium now.
  12. what would happen to Chaddy if iit did go?! Failsworth Athletic? Maybe the suggested Nike deal includes a nice new brand spanking new stadium to be known as 'The Nike stadium'
  13. Streak wont be broken. Getting taken out on the cart allows more time to heal (both taker and HHH were ring rusty) Latics flag was at WM too. As for WM28...having to wait til then to see Rock whoop Cena...what a crap announcement!!
  14. So whose house are you all breaking into to watch it in HD?
  15. Not very? But when they first bought us, did their plan have the recession included? My main gripe is for all the talk of making us self sufficient, they should have put their money more on the playing side and got us into the Championship ASAP. Every football fan knows the higher you are in the league standings, the more attractive you are for investors. The clear sign from that game was people WOULD come if it was cheaper. For too long now £20 a game has been too much. Bradford halved their season ticket prices, got double crowd but still hit the financial expectation. I'd rather have more people then less people even if you have the same amount of cash in the coffers. It's double the number of people that would buy food/shirts etc. and then programme sponsors might be more forthcoming knowing X number of people will see their adverts. The last few years of TTA has indicated they're very concerned at clawing back as much as possible from the fans for little in return in regards to matchday experience
  16. Tommyfield is just a car park now anyways. Couldn't we have just offered competitive rates so they coud have their stalls at BP? Should look into this as an idea over summer if not sooner as lot of people are using car boots as an extra source of income in this 'recession' to boost coffers and get rid of unneeded stuff.
  17. Shame the 'loan back Tom Eaves from Bolton' thing didn't work out Maybe next season?
  18. Elections coming up....just like the hudd rd bus lane petition...lets pretend we'll do something then when its done...not get it done.
  19. Hulme grammar boy...surely he can ask mummy and daddy for a 'borrow'? Or ask a fellow player for a lift? All get stuck in together?
  20. He didn't set out to insult him though did he? Did he say "yard dogs dad....." But in regards to the fight...the club should get involved, could have it as a new marketing strategy "Come to Latics, enjoy the football then watch our fans fight with each other over something said on an internet forum. We'll film it an release an end of season highlights DVD"
  21. OR maybe it's a psychological statement for the players. Maybe he's said it to get a response in training from the strikers in question? Like Fergie saying "the FA will ban Rooney cause its Wayen Rooney" after his elbow at Wigan, knowing if they did ban him, it gave him more ammo to spout the 'everyone vs united' crap, an vwalla the FA didnt ban Rooney.
  22. 8 in 33...I'd take that alongside tounkara instead of feeney/reid.
