  1. Having pace is one thing, putting your head down so you can't see where you're going or if anyone is in your way is another....
  2. Is there a programme to translate Roylearmy's posts into understandable English available or in the workings?
  3. Exeter were poor so not getting OTT about the game 'cause other teams would have put a some of their efforts in the net. Happy with the result though, clean sheet AND finally some efforts not only on target, but going in Thought Stepehens played a really solid game, just kept it simple. Him and Furman in the middle looked a good attacking duo. Wish Whitts would grow a pair and go in for challenges, proper soft arse IMO. Jacobson looked decent as well in both positions. :censored: at CB looked assured. Gregan was solid, took no prisoners, was bit worried when he had a clattering, but played on. Was a bit concerned at the lack of movement with our throw ins, and when our corners broke down it went all way back to keeper most times, looks as though we don't have a scooby doo about pressurising opponents.
  4. So the money thay got for Delph more or less covers them for the season. Anything else, saved for next season...
  5. Was in work today (Costco), an had a moment of daydreaming, as I usually do round about 1 o clock. Had this conversation with a customer. "work that boring eh?" "sorry, yeah miles away, just thinking of football memories" "is it a more interesting place to be than work?" "Anything's better than work" "aaaah right you a red or a blue?" "blue of Oldham" Slight pause. "OOOOH riiiiight. How are you doing these days?" "not too good to be honest, on a losing run, not scoring and one place above relagtion places" "I suppose thinking of work would be better afterall!" Mainly it was his response to the fact that I supported Oldham that alerted me to the fact that Oldham aren't even considered to be someones first or second choice of club to support in the 'area'. I got a look as though I was supposed to be an extinct animal or something.
  6. Indeedy. Is it true they're doing the half time draw? How many punters gonna buy a ticket just for the chance to meet them?
  7. I suppose so on the undermining the manager, who obviously has his own team of people he trusts. How about just doing it privately, Ritchie using an alias, goin into training wearing a wig an fake moustache
  8. But where would youths go to burn stolen cars out?! Plus my dad would have nowhere to go to practice his golf on a friday morning/afternoon
  9. Do we have an attacking coach? Maybe a Ritchie coaching role in that could maybe make a difference.... *Prepares for an avalanche of comments saying whats the point when the ball doesnt get to the strikers*
  10. Better late than never...maybe the answer of 'other financial priorities' or some similair reason could lead to reduction of ST next season to entice ppl back in the udders/Bradford style?
  11. Maybe TTA secretly log on here, read things, and then think 'thats a good idea, lets do that!'. Who needs football manager/business acolades when they just use a message board for ideas and plans?
  12. Remember reading an interview with Defoe and he says when all the players finish training, he stays behind with Les Ferdinand for a couple of hours to practice his shooting and control, and I think he's one of the leanest strikers in the PL. Not an ounce of fat on him, pure strength and muscle. If players aren't willing to better themselves, how will the team get better?
  13. unique –adjective existing as the only one or as the sole example; single; solitary in type or characteristics. having no like or equal; unparalleled; incomparable. limited in occurrence to a given class, situation, or area. limited to a single outcome or result; without alternative possibilities: Certain types of problems have unique solutions. not typical; unusual. –noun the embodiment of unique characteristics; the only specimen of a given kind: The unique is also the improbable. In todays age, I dont think anyone can build a unique ground par se, but we could look at making it have a different 'feel' (characteristics as mentioned in the noun form of the word) than others. I think the fans in a way create the feel of inside the ground as much as the architecture.
  14. Didn't the council say they'd build a new ground for them? My problem with that scenario is during the 10 years, which they enjoyed BP as a 'home', why wasn't their chairman/committee/trust asking the council about the afore mentioned ground being built? Bolded points I couldn't agree with more! SO many threads are filled with 'no spirit/fight. Crap performance" and people here ask about their ground not looking like the community grounds. At the end of the day give me a pitch, seats, enough pies and you're bang tidy!
  15. What about the mighty Maheeta Malongo?! Im quietly confident bout Heff, get a good few days training with the boys, so it's not like he's being thrown in at the deep end. As for why he isn't in Donnys team-they're in the league above AND have Billy Sharp (5 in 10), Dean Sheilds (4 in 10) and James Hayetr (3 in 11) ahead of him. Maybe its a similair case as us and O'Grady? League 1 - not cut it. League 2 - found his level. Heff Championship - not cut it. League 1 - found his level.
  16. Problem is, most of the locals will be city/scum fans thus eliminating the opportunity of Latics fans getting entry. Maybe they should hold it in a slightly larger venue that can allow Latics fans to attend and oppose the residants who are arguning against a redevelopment that hasnt even released its full plans yet.
  17. Brandy goes down sooo soft, no wonder hes won 3 pens so far, i thought stammy got the ball. As for kalala's red...Jackie Chans quaking in his boots! kung fu kalala
