  1. Whats the general consensus then, we all goin in the pop side nearest the away (ours) fans? i ask as il be on my billy todd and i wanna end up near some latics fans
  2. i went around 5pm after buying my coach ticket and they said they had sent 280 back and was then told id have to get there early just to make sure to get a ticket. Fingers crossed
  3. I went today, and ive got to say, even from my limited knowledge of rugby league even though i like to watch it as much as i can therefroe this review maybe wrong lol, they just didnt seem as up for it as doncaster did, every time they went forward they seemed a bit quicker in zipping it around whereas oldham seemed a bit sluggish. To be fair i thought oldham were going to go on and win it after half time after being 18-0 to be 18-16 at the break. The ref didnt help though, i think the penalty count was 9-2 in there favour which is meant to be unusal and should be more even for a rugby game, and i gotta say some decisions did seem dodgy. All in all though id say doncaster just deserved it.
  4. Aye fair enough, i can see where your coming from, for me its just it appears like they support what happened to wimbledon as they follow the dongs (and its easy to get this assumption) yet from how youve put it you can imagine there fans are probably more as you described and not having fully the same ideals as me and you about how football should be etc, etc. as if they did it probably would have been blocked by the very same people.
  5. I suppose, but yet milton keynes is hardly the third world is it, seeing as in terms of history compared to the rest of the towns and cities in this country, its brand new. As has been said by one of there fans, they were "willing to drop down the football leagues or even start up from the bottom which the fa wouldnt allow them to do" which if true and to show they were so willing to start from a lot lower down why not just start up a football team or support the one there was (milton keynes city i think??) instead of, when you look at it, cheating their way into a position in the football league at the expense of another league club. Im sorry but there fans must carry some, not much mind but some, of the blame along with all the other parites involved the fa/winkleman.
  6. My view is that the most worrying thing about this is that with more and more people starting to accept what happened as just "thats life" this will most likely encourage others to do the same to similar teams, which cannot be allowed to happen and is possibly the biggest fear here and so why theres a problem with m***s (anyone hear about the possibility of a team being taken over and being renamed harchester united after the tv show??) Im sorry but i disagree with this idea that the wimbledon fans and club, like them or not, had it coming to them in terms of going bust from there own mismanagement/lack of help from local council and so cant be unhappy with what there is now, and seeing as they were on there last legs, lets go and give the club to a town that hasnt got a team! why the hell should this town over any other be given a football league team for the pure fact that they have never had league football. tough :censored:e i say!! for me a club should be able to fight for its survival or go bust yet this somehow meant they deserved to be stripped of its soul and shipped off miles away for a toy town, and rather than work for a league club from the bottom up decided to steal in on another clubs misfortune. Just goes to show the nature of Britain today when nobody is willing to work for anything anymore. As for the m***s fans themselves, im sure there really nice folk and i wouldnt wish any harm on them but i find them really difficult to understand and justify themselves for allowing this to happen and actually taking part in it by supporting the team!! ahh thats feels better lol
  7. loved the chant started at colchester for him (didnt hear it yesterday), to the tune of "there's no limit" (sorry dont no the artist): Kelvin, Kelvin Kelvin, Kelvin Kelvin, Kelvin Kelvin Lomax!!!!!!!!
  8. il echo these sentiments, i was sat on the back row just to the side of one of the groups of singers and looked a bit out on my own, so this would normally have been an easy target for a steward to get a power surge and just pick on the one guy. Refreshingly i wasnt asked to sit down once and didnt really notice the steward at all. i also surprisingly came back unharmed from standing up at a game cheering my team on Makes a mockery of all this health and saftey nonsense!! just goes to show what you can do with some common sense stewarding
  9. Tad dissapointed to be out after dominating them for so long, and then to switch off and play as badly as we did after goin 1 up im a bit more dissapointed, but im not gonna read to much into it, wont lose to much sleep. It would have been nice to go through and get to wembeley but hey ho (theres always the fa cup lol) and although it could have been good in terms of a bit money, at least its one more thing out of our minds and allows us to concentrate more on the league. Felt we should have been 5 up at half time yet for me it was just one of them nights of the ball not going in, missed chances/goalie making good saves and what not, you can hardly say we've been goal shy so far this season ,12 goals in 4, and as mentioned elsewhere, were hardly a one man team in terms of goals, as hughesy has only scored three of them (not complaining about him btw). Ah well onwards and upwards to sat and victory over the trannies. For me the biggest negative tonight is that due to that last 30-20 mins or so its now opened to some doubt and given the moaners a good chance to get a good moan in. Hopefully it shouldnt last. Dont worry, be happy
  10. lol i was just about to have a go then
  11. lol i was sat in the row just in front of the people who started it, and soon joined in with the chanting, that would be quality to sing with 2000 or so of us "HIS BODYYY ISSSS A TEMPLE" lol
  12. I know others have put there versions, i just feel il add mine to support, just in case any higher powers or whoever from our club are reading this and need to see how wrong those stewards were by the number of reactions seen on here. From were i was sat basically a couple of seats away, the stewards made there way up to tell this lad to come away. The lad after already being stood (dunno how long he was, id just turned around), tried sitting down (as any would do to try make the stwerads change there minds) yet the stewards came up, and fair play to the lad, he didnt put up any fight and didnt seem to want to cause a nusciance and started going. Then we score, which distracts me from the walk down the stairs. Straight after a quick celebration, i look back to see him still seemingly not resisting being thrown out when all of a sudden, the steward started to become way to aggresive seeming to start to frog march, as such, him out im guessing that the lad might of celebrated the goal goin in yet this was no excuse to start pinning him up against chairs then bringing him round to pin him over the advertising boards, to a lad who was willing to leave anyway, i doubt he would of changed his mind at the bottom of the steps to suddenly start resisting, and didnt seem the kind to do so due to the nature in which he started to leave with no trouble. Que the latics fans near him to run down the steps and argue over the lad being chucked out, and were well in their rights to do so for me, even if some got a bit aggressive as that is what will happen when a near enough assault on a 17 year old lad takes place. I dont care if its all brand new to them, that steward was on a power trip and felt big enough to do what he did, while the rest didnt seem to care and stood by and watched, for me you dont need training to know not to do that. From what ive read, it seems the lad just wants to let it be so fair enough, maybe he didnt feel as manhandled as it looked maybe not, but i feel a bit of injustice here if that steward gets away with this and this lad has some sort of caution and would like to see some form of justice (then again grabbing that late point did wierdly feel like some justice). Just my view, felt i should air it. Rant over lol edit: then again maybe he does just read his post, good on you lad, hope something comes of it
  13. not really, like i said i enjoy both just as much, and can fill the summer gap left by the footy close season
  14. I use to hate the roughyeds purely because it was rugby and found it boring, yet that was when i was younger, i now love both sports and plan to attend a few games next year with the roughyeds (was gonna do this year, but ended up working abroad) COME ON LATICS AND 'YEDS!!!!!!!!
  15. Just seen it on the official report,i felt there was more than that there last night? i base this on the assumption that the stand holds quite a few thousand and seemed quite full, probably wrong however. anyone wish to clarify?
  16. Depends if you have any concrete evidence, as you could argue, as glad as iam that they didnt (though it never mattered) u****d had a couple of good penalty appeals turned down
  17. I'm off doing camp America for three months which means i will miss out on the first two/three weeks of our championship winning season
  18. The moaners (or doom and gloomers whatever you prefer), a bad start and they'll never stop Seriously would most likley be rochdale if they come up in terms of a local rivalry however if any type of rivalry most likely whoever is challenging for promotion
