  1. .....hears in the distance..... the start up of....... the great escape theme "Du du, du du du du du"
  2. Just got my two city supporting housemates to do it too, so i suppose we can include man city to the list as well now (not many i know but still the more the better ) il try to add a tottenham fan to the list too.
  3. By rule of thumb on here, any type of rumour seems to go, yet ive heard stories of paul scholes being seen in macdonalds along broadway before training in the morning!! okay it may not affect you like drink but it can have an impact if done regularly (like i said could be completely false, but seeing as how theres rumours on here with no hard evidence i dont see why mine should either)
  4. if not a song, a possible banner with a drawing of the shirt and a " we hope you like it!!! no thanks required, compliments Latics/could also include other teams fans we know to have done it" (if we want to share some of the credit) bearing in mind it may be better to do this if it is selected, though it may still be funny if they havent decided and they realise it could become that? oh btw im an idea man, i leave my idea (dirty work) for someone else to make become reality!!
  5. Done. i think if iwas being serious and a leicester fan i think id go for option D. Ah well hope they like A
  6. Gotta say it doesnt really bother me any jibes sent my way by the genuine fans, though what really does my head in is non-football/scum and :censored:ty fans who have never been to OT and the council house or barely ever do. Its really hard to get back at these folk as they have'nt that big a passion for football, so any insults about their team dont register. Ive now just started biding my time and wait for them to claim they love or really follow football/their team and show them up in front of the people they are telling. Its been fairly effective
  7. Id love to see this happen, however the pessimist in me feels this would not be possible due to having to inform everyone to bring a scarf. If scarfs were to be handed out on the turnstiles, what would the cost of it be, and who would cover it?? would the tta be willing to fork out for it? even if it was to get past this stage how many people would actually join in, as some people just dont join in to create any atmosphere and concentrate solely on the game, which is well within their rights. Like the idea though and when ive seen it in action it does look impressive!! (I assume you mean what im talking about, and your not using "scarf raiser" as another term for a good song to get us going, if so feel free to ignore me )
  8. Yes a big thanks to the guys, i actually check here first before the main site now. One question, which has been bugging me for a while and may have been answered a while ago, why do we have a 1'000 or so members registered but have some people with higher memeber numbers?
  9. Was there huddersfield fans singing at the game? i thought i was right in thinking there hadnt been any until two huddersfield fans walked past and claimed they had done ;) btw i hope you see this as some light ribbing i thought your singing was very good today (from all ten of you, well done ) again llight ribbing
  10. Loved it, did some clapping and singing at first then looked round a saw a few dancing along like loons to it so i thought id join in we should definitely sing it more often as i bet it annoys the hell out of away fans
  11. huh never noticed, that is pretty out of order, cant believe they could get away with it!!
  12. Surprised no one else has picked up on this (awaits titanic moment) but hes been charged with ABH and affray after being held by police following an altercation in a night club on sunday night Naughty boy
  13. When i went to buy my crewe tickets last tuesday they had sold 1300 so the woman told me behnid the desk. Plan to go buy mine tommorrow
  14. Every game is vital now in a certain respect, in fact when has it never been vital to win a game this season as it should be vital to always win games. If you try to make hudds a must win game, as this poster seems to suggest, and then we dont, then a unecessary bad feeling will set in, as if we have lost somethin huge. Obviously we want to win (points wise plus a bit pof local rivalry) but if we dont lets try to stay positive and not get negative because we might have lost a 'massive' game!!
  15. From the crewe offical site report just after hughesy scored: A cheeky little dig perhaps?? or am i reading to much into it
  16. Bit harsh, so should we just stamp on any other hopes and dreams that these kids may have as it may not prove cost effective in the long run? if a kid had a dream of becoming an astronaut, should we just stamp that out straight away? plus i doubt its gonna stop xmas presents coming in future years, as the kids il still expect plenty of presents worth hundreds of pounds i finally figured out there was no santa on my own through interaction with my peers and jus kinda second guessin it really (it was too much for a lad of 19 to take ) i sure as hell wouldnt want it spoiled by a parent-teacher (who's word you consider law at those ages) who couldnt control me so decided it would be best to destroy my innocence!
  17. No no it must be true and i believe him as my next door neighbours dog has just told me and why would he lie to me?? lol
  18. Aye, i was reading on the bbc blog guy's page (forget his name) and he was reckoning to hopefully have a 100 run lead or so once we bowl them out which will put us in a stronger postion (gotta break up that partnership of Dhoni and Harbajan first as already mentioned), and then that they wouldnt relish chasing down a target in excess of 220 which id have to agree with, what with the pitch deterioating and all. Lets hope the weather holds and we continue playing well. Hopefully the 1st test is ours and draw the series at least
  19. Anyone been watching?? currently 316 all out in our first innings with india now on 155-6 at the end of the 2nd day. Very good knock from Strauss (129) especially considering he's not played any first class criket for a while. I think were looking in a fairly good position to win the test at the moment, lets hope we dont mess it up like we can do.
  20. gotta be the jocks due to a number of things including the history, obviously there is always animosity due to the conflict that was centuries old but also our match is the oldest in world football too so theres history in the footy side of it. gotta agree with the point that the other rivalries we have seemed to be based on conflicts, though i do enjoy them and plus there has been a couple of good matches to stoke the rivalries too e.g. 1966 world cup final vs. Germany, the 1998 WC 2nd round game vs. Argies to name a few
  21. Shez in!! dont get me wrong he has made some bad decisions of late, some i dont understand, and all seems like its goin a bit tits up at the mo, and a couple of bad performances (okay probably more than that) but KEEP THE FAITH as others have said. if we were to get another manager in now, who? if they come in, what if they go on a good a run of results like we had at the start, then hit another bad patch like were having now, do we begin calling for their heads too? i know shez has had the investment and two years in the job, but all that would seem a bit pointless now if we got rid anytime soon. As others have mentioned, id give him til the end of the season and see how he's gone on i.e. relegation = get rid quite obviously, promotion/play offs= keep, mid table= depends werabouts in mid table we are and even then whether thats good enough. Id say were more nearer to the keep option at the moment, okay out of the cup comps, which would be welcome (along with the money) but thats life, and dissapointing, yet i wouldnt have expected anything less supporting latics. Put your hands up if you thought if we were to get promoted this season it was gonna be a breeze without its fair share of bumps along the way. Come on now lets all pull together in the right direction, were not in the last weeks of apirl in a relegation scrap, were 5 points off the top in the middle of november, still a while to go yet lads and lasses. Come on smile, it might never happen :puts tin hat on and awaits responses along the lines of: rose tinted/optimist/happy clapper ;)
  22. Dunno myself but it was used at swindon, dunno when it started being used. Has the words "fortune favours the brave" on it, with a skull and cross bones next to it
  23. I gotta agree with the BB80, i cant stand this side after that day, and come a very close second for teams i dont wanna see get promoted (leeds no.1 obviously) I still remember going absolutely mental when we scored at theirs, i think more so because it felt like justice was done to some point, plus i was grabbing anyone i could and hugging/throwing them about lol
  24. Cant write in mine either when i download it and it opens up in another window
