  1. Perform Group are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with their "back end" database. Whilst at this time there is nothing to suggest this will effect the usability of the official site or owtb.co.uk I wanted to take the opportunity to warn fans, as I appreciate how frustrating the last outage was for everyone, I certainly include myself in that! If unaffected stories will continue to be posted throughout the afternoon. However if there is an outage please check twitter.com/laticsplayer for updates, as this will remain unaffected. Cheers, Ste
  2. Latics Player has today launched our Archive feature, which over time will provide fans a more user friendly method of finding past Latics Player videos. As a site manager it is easy for me to make arbitrary decisions on how these videos should be categorised, but I would prefer it if you, the viewers, chose how they would be best organised. I will obviously have to make decisions based on your opinions and I apologise in advance that I will not be able to please everyone. Videos can unfortunately only be tagged into one category, and the tag's which I feel would be most suitable would be: 1. Highlights 2. Press Conferences 3. Interviews 4. Features 5. Gaffs (...coming soon...) 6. World Archive (...coming early 2010...) Please feel free to post your ideas or email me at the address below if you would like to see categories added or removed. Cheers, Ste
  3. Get well soon mate, from Ackey and all at Latics.
  4. Just to clarify, Simon did his piece live from the back of the Main Stand today and I'd like to thank him for that, as it was a very last minute thing when we found out GMR were presenting their entire show live from BP, without anything planned or anyone to speak to!! I didn't get to listen as I was running about the place like usual, so if anyone does find an iPlayer link I'd appreciate an email with the link. Cheers, Ste
  5. As above, the stereo-AXL (I think that's the correct acronym - it's been a hard few days) cable didn't arrive as hoped yesterday or even today. In an ideal world I will have it and it will get a run out against Yeovil. I now have a spread of local bands who've kindly (with much appreciated help from J) allowed us to use their music without paying the usual royalties on it. Once we have a successful test of music alone I will look to enhance the experience with exclusive content, such as interviews. Thanks for your patience on this one folks, I have been working on it as best I could for a while now. Ste
  6. I don't think there is a way to do this, without removing the articles from the Reserves thread which would make the site less user-friendly on the whole. I'd really appreciate it if people could do this more for things of this nature. Cheers, Ste
  7. That's a rip off from the full article on the official site Bob mate. Here is the official article.
  8. Southend Away Ticket News: http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/AwayT...,,10337,00.html
  9. You are correct, I received the Southend information yesterday and I have put ticket information on for all games so far this season, I think? The point I was looking to make is that if the service is inadequate - in this case due to the amount of time between the information going online and the game itself - then an email from a concerned fan would have encouraged me to be more proactive, in seeking the information for the site. Cheers, Ste
  10. Thank you for bringing this to my attention DS. As someone who's never travelled to away games on a regular basis I don't appreciate the intricacies of booking tickets etc. - no matter how obvious they may seem. As you can appreciate unless you do something yourself the simplest of things can pass you buy as insignificant, when in fact they are vital. As a result I will endeavour to improve the service I am providing on this front. I would, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, like to ask that for these types of suggestions people contact me via email. To my knowledge, this is the first time this issue has been raised and I will immediately address the situation, however an email from Tom, or anyone else effected, would have been a much more efficient approach. Regards, Ste
  11. If you click on "Ticket Homepage" link under the "Tickets" tab then this page loads. On that page the first article is titled "Home Ticket Prices 2009/10" - it is here if you need a direct link. This page contains ticket prices for the 2009/10 season. I hope that helps Tom, if you have any further questions you can reach me via the email link below. Regards, Ste OAFC
  12. For someone who spent ten months travelling the world, I will confess my geography (especially UK counties, actually) is dreadful. In my defence, and it's a weak one I'll grant you, the team are staying in the same hotel as for Leyton Orient and so I did an ol' fashioned 2+2=5! It's a good job Roy 'The Stig' Butterworth does the driving for us on away days isn't it? Ste
  13. As BFL said, Zsolt is the Hungarian coach on loan with the club from MTK Hungaria like the players are. There are a total 6 players with Athletic from MTK at the moment, there's a full interview and explanation available on Latics Player, here. If you don't have a subscription there is also a written article all about it, here. You can also read Zsolt's comments on the Development Squads' 3-2 win over Tranmere on Tuesday night, here. Cheers, Ste
  14. When the team stayed at the Twickenham Marriott I met them before the game, and the good folks there allowed me, and those you see in the video, to have a look around. It's an immense stadium. Those rooms we were looking around are £16,000 a night for an International game day!!
  15. Today I've written what I hope fans will agree is a comprehensive introduction to coach Zsolt Szekely and his Hungarian players. Official Site Article I hope to conduct another interview with Zsolt later in the season, and if anyone has any questions they would like me to put to him or the Development Squad players please post them up in here, or email me via the link below. See you at Bristol. Cheers, Ste
  16. No need to apologise mate! Just didn't want you to turn up at Hyde at 6:45 to find the place shut-up!
  17. Please note this game is tomorrow, not tonight I've amended the article to make this more apparent.
  18. Dave Penney's post game press conference is online, in both video and written forms. Cheers, Ste
  19. I don't do days off any more, they were overrated anyway. Those of you who've not seen it yet, Nick's goal is featured on the Goals Of The Week, on the right hand side of the homepage.
  20. I'm not aware of one, but I'm working from home today as the offices are closed and so I will have to wait until tomorrow to investigate it further for you. Cheers, Ste
  21. Amended. Apologies. I wrote the article about it's extension too. Ste
  22. Just to clarify, I have never left the game and gone to the pub and I resent that accusation. I have spent the last hour trying to investigate the problem with the interview. I have also written a comprehensive Half Time, Full Time and Complete Match Report - all of which are online now. The interview with :censored: thankfully worked OK and is uploading as we speak. It takes around 45 minutes to fully edit a basic 5 minute interview video and encrypt it in to the correct format for upload and an additional 30 minutes or so to upload via my home broadband. 5 minutes to upload a video is pie-in-the-sky optimism. I wish it were that simple, but sadly it is not. I transcribe the written articles from the video interview, as I have my hands full and can not write at the same time. Next time, knowing what I now do, I will also record the interview on my iPhone for contingency. Regards, Ste EDIT - to add response regarding transcription.
  23. This is currently under review, what with the increased availability of highlights from the BBC.
