    Given it's the centenary year for the end of WW1, I was wondering if anyone had information on our players who came so close to winning the old first division. Did any of them go on to fight in the war, did any not return home?

    I seem to remember them having trouble the last time they achieved promotion, but managed to secure it. Hopefully with Avro's investment in the ground all will be ok again.

    Not or sure if it's been officially announced, but looks like Rhodes will be number 2. Ian Marshall just wrote the following on twitter... "I think I will be making a trip up to Boundry Park this season to watch and support @FrankieBunn9 & Rhodesy come on you Latics!!!!"

    Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a programme from the game which they wish to sell. It's the only one I've not got from this season, so need this to complete the collection. I've emailed emailed the club (Luke Ingram) but have had no response. Thanks
