  1. That means Barry is on another lunch bromance with Ched today
  2. Heard Corney say previously the virtues of giving someone a second chance, served their time etc. Just out of interest then, if he is consistent with his views, is anyone aware (no names obviously) of Latics intentionally employing an ex-con on the non-playing staff since Corney took over? I'd like to know if this rehabilitation policy applies to all, or specifically ex premier league players who can be be picked up for peanuts thus saving a fortune on fees and wages?
  3. It doesn't make you a ":censored:" to share a different opinion about Corney's tenure at the club. Back in 2004, I'm sure we didn't envisage fellow fans hurling profanities at one another some ten or so years later. What it proves is that opinion is pretty much polarised and how devisive a tenure it has become. For my part, I don't believe a word Corney utters anymore; latest example an interview not a week ago where he said it was a decent start to the season, and then the manager is sacked a few days later. I could go on (new stand, Evans, Hughes etc) but it's all been well documented so you make your own choice. Advice for Westy : protesting about Owen is pointless, he's a symptom not the cause. Bringing in a new club spokesperson will just be re-arranging the deckchairs on the titanic. If you want real change Corney et al must depart.
  4. i wish him the best, however when will corney see that owen is ruining our club.if it was the victorian times and he was in the army he would be given a gun and put in a room.if he was japanese he would be expected to commit hari kari and if he was in the south seas he would be put in a pot and eaten By graham-walker @ 13/09/2015 16:01:43 From today's online Chron - seems Owen is in a stew in more ways than one!
  5. "Latics continue relentless slide down the Dunny under Corney" OK bit of an Australianism
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34220151 He's just gone out on loan to Coventry City
  7. It probably means you don't sign players convicted of causing death by dangerous driving and rape - just saying
  8. What we learnt from DK tonight : if you want beautiful, free-flowing football with clinical finishing, turn up at Chapel Road
  9. Owen on opening of new stand : "We've got a lot of functions booked" Yes they're called League One home fixtures !!
  10. At least if he gets injured there'll be plenty of "Cairo"practors to help out. The manager has told him he's playing in the Valley of the Wings - ok I'll stop now !
  11. Fair do's, at least he's at the top of their football pyramid
  12. I would recommend giving the university a try as they have rooms and flats available for singles/groups and you can self-cater too. http://www.stir.ac.uk/business/conferences-and-events/accommodation/
  13. Exactly I've seen comments such as this is like a guaranteed cup run every year......well hang on these last few years we have had some pretty bloody good cup runs and the bottom line is that very little of the additional revenue has been invested back in the team. Hopefully the penny has finally dropped that crowds will only return to BP if there is a successful product on the pitch.
  14. I don't remember us having one shot on target - can't really recall many of their supposed twenty plus shots either!
  15. Find it bizarre how some like to play tragedies off against each other. Each one has its own significance, cause and ramifications. Thanks heavens there hasn't been one involving our fans and last week's match at Bradford should bring it home to people that we are one football family.
  16. True I read it on the official site not sure if it was then taken down - but as we know after a day or two it's a struggle to find it again. Feel sorry for fans paying £6 extra.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXRp3qzEPiI Please watch if you were too young to remember - truly awful
  18. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago to make the full £6 saving on matchday admission. The lady in the ticket office said that this was the most confusing ticket offer they had ever known! The dates for the different prices have been input on their software so there is no discretion unfortunately you will have to buy at the rates as advertised.
  19. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/371517/Fabio-Borini-Watching-Liverpool-and-Sunderland-play-will-be-so-tough Think maybe it just applies to loan moves. As stated think there are gentlemen's agreements in place where a player might get a mysterious injury, think it happened a year or two ago involving a Man United player who moved on but can't remember who.
